Shemp was a familiar face to millions in the 30's and 40's as a solo act. He appeared in many feature films either in small bit parts as well as full co-starring roles and worked with everyone in Hollywood just about. He also did a number of Shorts for Columbia as the lead actor and with Andy Clyde as an unoffical partnership.

The only thing missing from these shorts are Moe and Larry. Same cast of characters as Shemp's films. Columbia sure didn't have to go far to find the cast. I love the remakes of the earlier Stooges movies when Shemp got back with the team. I had seen a number of his shorts in the 30s like the Joe Palooka films and a few in the 40s; but these! Wow!
