Wow! So much excellent information on villagers and trading. This video taught me new tips and tricks I'd never seen before. I'm going to blow both my sons minds with my knowledge. Lol! Thanks for making me an "awesome" mom!
You don't have to clear beds, workstations, and bells within 96 blocks of a village to keep them from interfering with your villagers linkages. All you have to do is make sure that wherever a villager can go, it doesn't get within 16 blocks horizontally or 4 blocks vertically of a bed, workstation, or bell that you don't want to become part of the village. Specifically, unwanted POI blocks must never come within detection range of a villager. The detection range is the rectangular volume within coordinates (X-16, Y-4, Z-16) to (X+16, Y+4, Z+16) where (X, Y, Z) is the bottom northwest corner of the block the villager's feet are in. This means you can have a mini-base for the player right inside a village's boundaries without it interfering with the villagers' POI associations, you just have to make sure it's at least 5 blocks below or above (or at least 17 blocks away from) any block a villager can move to. (Be sure to watch out for holes villagers might fall into.) I normally put mine underground, but I've also built them up a hill that I've blocked off with fences so the villagers can't climb up. Incidentally, a villager can always detect a bed (because that's the only way to create a village), but it can't detect a workstation or bell unless it's already in a village. Also, a villager doesn't just detect a POI block when it needs one, it can do so at any time. And it doesn't necessarily claim the block: It adds it to the village, after which any villager who needs it can claim it for their own. That's why a villager can claim a block that's way outside its detection range, instead of only a block that's near it.
I think Prowl was trying to keep things simple but ended up making it seem harder than it has to be. All he had to say was not to bring the villagers near any beds or workstations on the way to their new home, then once they get there give everyone a bed and a new workstation as a test. If any fail to sleep in their new bed or take the profession of their new workstation, you've got a problem to fix before you do anything else
I was saying the same thing! Also I use a pressure plate instead of a lever to speed things up (have to remember to break the piston when you get your trade). I wired that to a dropper to use as a counter recently and found an average of 22 rerolls per unbreaking offer (about 66 rerolls for unbreaking III) so it's quite a grind
I use to always take mending over infinity on a bow but I like infinity more now. Bows are easy to make & enchant once you get your trading hall up & running. I'd rather make a new bow than run out of arrows in my inventory. Nor do I want to carry stacks of arrows. To each their own tho.
I use tipped arrows so infinity is out of the question. Plus arrows and a few slots of inventory are a lot cheaper to deal with than making an entire new god bow, and I also don’t want to spend my 2300 levels
When and if they patch the curing glitch, the spawner makes it easy to snag a zombie and cure the villagers properly. 5 consecutive cures makes that villager permanently give the max discount
Love the vid, I had a patrol and killed the captain, with the bad omen buff i walked to my iron farm and started a raid. When i finished the raid and got the victory all my villagers despawned. I didn't know that could happen.

So golem spawns so many from center bed and that's the spawn chamber with water funnel. Ok so you mention the distance between villager and beds is greater. Was reading while watching for exactly this comment. Go thru the mechanics of how a zombie spawner can generate the bonus without curing a zombie villager
So I've brought zombie villagers into my trading hall and killed them right next to my villagers, but I never get a discount. Do the zombie villagers have to spawn near the villagers as well as be killed near them to get the discount?
@@WaynesWorld69 did you watch the video? The entire point of this is getting discounts without having to cure by killing zombie villagers within 16 blocks of your trading villager. And it's not working on mine.
I think it must be tied to the spawner somehow. I tried putting a trading hall near my mob grinder and was also disappointed that the discounts never came. Even tried putting a villager near the top thinking it was based on spawning mechanic and didn't see discounts. I have successfully gotten discounts next to an actual spawner, i just one have one in my one block world.
Prowl, I have a question for you. I am running on bedrock on the PS4. I am trying to link a villager with a lectern. I already have one villager by my zombie spawner linked to a lectern but when I put a 2nd lectern it seems as the one librarian links with both lecterns and the other villager does not link to the 2nd lectern and stays jobless. Do you have any advice for me on this? Love your videos BTW been watching for a few weeks now, since season 2 lol.
I'm really frustrated with the villagers disappearing. I keep breeding them up and the next day I have to do it all over again. We also lost all our cows and sheep.
So Google isn't sure the max distance between a villager and bed in bedrock 1.19 it's between 32 and 400 blocks. I built a couple of your trading hall golem farms in pe 1.19.22 and they work. In your unbreakable iron golem villager trading hall you gave specific info on the golem spawning but wasn't sure on villager to bed distance on the x and z axis. Got a zombie spawner at 215,-42,-231 and 213,-42,-237 so I need more info on villager to bed distance and also villager to spawner distance for the spawning cure discount. Also like you got 1 villager and a bed because you slept in the bed what about 1 villager and 1 bed caged in where you want to lock the center maybe a bell in the cage idk but could that work? Then you could go so many blocks out and have 2x2 cells for a bed and 2 block walking space for the other villagers?
I see this was 4 months ago, but no one responded… it has to be tinted glass if you want glass. To avoid light that you will need around villagers to keep away mobs from interfering with zombie spawner. However, if you don’t care about seeing the spawner. Solid blocks work too.
I accidentally killed a pillager captian which gave me a bad omen and my son told me to drink milk and it removed it just a little tip for newbs like me lol.
@@leefreshwater6614 Those take FOREVER. Mob farms in Bedrock suck. Even a massive all mob farm will take about 17 minutes to get you to level 30x. The problem is that is 1395 XP. For my trading hall I used iron trapdoors all wired up to a lever. In case of an accidental raid, I can hit the lever to keep the villagers safe

My mindset is that 1 arrow takes up the same space as 64 arrows. And arrows are easy to come by with trades or a skeleton farm.
