This movie was straight up PEAK I don’t think I’ve ever been that emotionally invested in a movie in a long time easily the best SpiderMan movie ever imo cant wait for part 3.
The story is broken because the canon event is completely busted. It’s clear they wanted the “every spider man has an Uncle Ben moment” but ruined it by killing miles’ uncle in the first movie. So instead they tied the canon event to the loved one having to all share a specific job title. And as Gwen’s dad proves, the loved one simply not having that job title makes it ok to break the canon. So miles can watch his dad die, let everyone else die….. or his dad can simply not be a police captain. So busted.

I loved the mention of Doctor strange also messing with the multiverse and Miguel also having to deal with that.
Miguel was awesome and I expected him to be this bad guy based on the trailer but he’s so reasonable and having to be the one to do horrible things but it’s for the better make him great

There was a scene where the hole villain, jumped to the Lego Universe and felt no one else in my theater got the reference (Sold out theater). This movie and the lego movie are written and directed by the same directors Chris miller and Phil Lord.

The fact there were hints that this miles wasn't the right miles in the first movie is crazy. The spider glitching, Coca-Cola being named koca-soda and a blonde Peter.

The miles in universe 42 was supposed to be spider man but since he didn’t that miles lost his father. Then fell under the wing of uncle Aaron then led to that miles becoming the prowler with out the guidance of his dad and the spider 42 led into the chaos of miles universe.
It’s still wild Miguel really said if Miles wasn’t there or if that spider wasn’t there Peter b. Parker would still be alive.
The Peter from miles universe is just called peter, peter B is the one in this movie
Something I will say is that’s not miles fault the way Miguel said it made it seem like it was miles fault but it wasn’t we all know that like how was a normal kid supposed to know that a literal spider gave Spider-Man his powers or how was he also supposed to know how it came from another universe

Saw this movie yesterday at 2pm, and again at 2:30pm today. I honestly think this has the potential to be the best comic book trilogy.
If the third is anywhere close to this, its definitely the best trilogy by far

This movie is absolutely amazing. After years of hoping, it's so good to see animation finally start to get the respect it deserves. I didn't think the first could be topped, but here we are. I wonder how the third will possibly keep that momentum going.

Miguel is just trying to stop the multiverse from collapsing bc he knows what it’s like to lose his whole world and he lost his daughter, honestly feel bad for him, looked depressed looking at old footage of his daughter
@@romanmercado5746 Not to mention, he tried several times in multiple other universes to replace the Miguel in those universes, but they all ended up destroyed in its entirety. Miguel/Spider-Man 2099 clearly lost his humanity. What he said to Miles on the shuttle train was extremely uncalled for, but at the root of his monologue, Miguel doesn’t want Miles to be stuck in the same limbo as him.
remember in Homecoming ,Childish Gambino was playing Aaron Davis (mile's uncle) during the interrogation scene so I think he will be the prowler in the live action
The movie is very good, I also love miles, and the whole spider verse of the Spider-Man’s. The Indian Spider-Man aka Pavitar Prabhakar is my fav Spider-Man. Karan Soni who voiced him didi a phenomenal job voice acting the character who made me laugh. Can’t wait for the third one cus the cliffhanger was so scary

Im not sure if you noticed but in the spot’s backstory you could actually briefly see the spider about to bite earth 42 miles in the classroom but was teleported
it’s crazy that a miles was always supposed to be spider-man just not the one we know instead the one that was supposed to be spider-man became the prowler
Just saw the movie with my friends and the crowd was crazy and so were we honestly the best movie I’ve seen so far everything was crazy and the plot twist and foreshadowing made it cooler plus Miles’s roommate was playing spiderman 2 before it even came out💀💀💀
Absolute Perfection. That movie was peak. The humor, the emotions and references. Spiderman 2099 is a n absolute beast🔥🔥
one thing i realised about the last movie is that the spider that bit miles actually glitches, much like the other spidermen in the film, dropping early hints that it's from a different dimension.
I think the general Canon Events for a spiderperson is:
The bite, parental figure death, villain creation, near-death experience, police ally death, & love interest death.
For the Spider-Man of Mumbattan, the police official and his daughter were allegories for Captain Stacy and Gwen Stacy. The bridge they were on resembles the Brooklyn Bridge, which was the same bridge that Gwen died on.
This movie took my breath away man 🎥 👌10/10 fr

I dont know if anyone's mentioned this, but when Spot is talking about how he got the spider from 42, you actually see the spider infront of 42 Miles for a split second, meaning that 42 miles (most likely) would've been the spiderman of that universe, had spot not taken it from there

I'll admit, I am not used to seeing these types of endings in cinema. I'm probably just being a big wuss. But, goddamn this movie was awesome!! Brilliant animation, engaging stories, fun new characters, I want sooo desperately to see what happens next. 😫

Yeah this movie was INTENSE. I think it really spoke to people in our generation (Gen Z), there was a lot of stuff I could relate to and the action scenes were awesome. They put their all into this movie and I really liked indian Spiderman and was VERY impressed by Spot and yo... Miguel is RAW😲
When Miguel was explaining how Miles dad was going to die and he shouldn’t prevent it was really intense especially when other spiders, Peter and Gwen have to obey it and Miles saying “so if you had the chance to save uncle Ben you wouldn’t” i thought “fuck” like Miles asked “you realize how messed up that is” it is but it’s what made them who they are

The mother was so beautiful they really did great detail on all imagery it was a absolutely beautiful film just amazing to look at

Actually, the spider that bit Miles was supposed to bite Miles from Earth 42. And also, a fun fact, the Lego scene in the movie was animated by a 14 year-old kid, which you can find him in his RUclips channel called “LegoMe_TheOG.”

I watched it on my birthday the day after it came out. So it was a nice Way to spend my 18th birthday, that cliffhanger though..got everyone in the theatre Angry. My Sister Grandma and I included.
Though it did get me more excited.

If you payed attention to the first movie when Peter was talking to miles near the accelerator the first time his Sence goes from green and purple to red and blue showing that is fate changed and he was supposed to be the prowler in that universe

1:52 The weird thing is, Miles already had his canon event when he lost his Uncle Aaron. Yeah, I know it's different in other mediums, but in the movie universe, the person Miles lost was his uncle and not his dad. Miguel is trying to turn the movie universe into the others, ignoring the fact that it isn't always an Uncle Ben. The pointed out that it can also be a captain of the police force, a Peter Parker (like for Gwen) or an Uncle like most Peter's or an Aunt, like MCU Peter. Heck, for Andrew Garfield's Peter Parker, it was Gwen!
Anyway, I think Mile's Dad will come close to death will be ultimately saved because that's what Spider-Man does, saves the day. And as already pointed out above, Uncle Aaron already died and Miles is on the path of being a Spider-Man. He doesn't need more deaths to keep him on that path.
In Spiderman homecoming childish gambino was in their talking to Spider-Man when he was stuck to his car he said I have a nephew that live around here so when I saw him as prowler I was shocked
Going into I didnt know there was a part three so litterally when there was five minutes left in the film before credits I checked my phone to see how much longer was left...
8:50 in the beginning of the movie the spot tells OUR Miles that he was working on the collider and brought a spider over to our universe. In the flashback the spider was about to bite the Miles that eventually became the prowler.😭
i’m a huge Miles fan, i started reading comics and even found the spider-man character through Miles back in the day, and even tho i would’ve much preferred it if it was a solo story (which i presume the live action Miles will be), the way they dealt with the other spider characters and the themes and messages of family, heritage and community was done extremely well. And despite it being basically “Miles Morales and friends”, the movie has plenty of scenes both at the beginning and the end of just Miles and shows what he can do without help, love seeing him on his own. He really is Spider-Man but with swagger and style. As a Miles fan it makes so happy to see Miles shine like this, you have no idea
he’s extremely capable and even tho Miles is the protagonist, Gwen was a solid deuteragonist. Made me like her way more than i did from the comics, same for other minor spider characters like India Spider-Man. Also great choice keeping Peter out of the story for the majority of it, we all love him but it’s time for audiences to meet the Spider-Man of the next generation, that being Miles and he’s perfect for the job
i also get ridiculed for liking Miles, now because of these last two movies i can proudly say i’m a huge Miles fan and i’m glad they handled him the way he did. He’s undoubtedly the best version of the character (comic version will always hold a special place in my heart tho, it’s what i grew up on)
definitely the best spidey movie to date, maybe tied with ITSV but i’ve seen people go back and forth on that. ITSV may be better in terms of being grounded and writing but ATSV knocks it out of the park in terms of stakes and action
Gwen was as much of a main character as Miles was in Across the Spider-Verse. Also, I do like Miles more than Peter, but I like 2099 and Gwen even more.
I still prefer Peter over Miles, he's the best Spider-Man.

Across The Spider-Verse is my new favorite Spidey movie! The colors, animation, the story, the many Spider-people, it's the perfect building blocks for an amazing Spidey movie! Great review!
