Baghdad was supposed to host their first live football match in decades but due to a rocket attack in northern Iraq, FIFA deemed the country still too unsafe to host matches. To still show their support tho Iraqi fans hosted a giant watch party in their stadium which I was lucky enough to attend. Atmosphere was even better than many live sporting events I’ve been to.

Idk why but this video does bring out some emotion in me, to see the people of this country who have been through the ringer for decades- celebrating and cheering and truly happy just brings me joy. I know that on the surface this is just a soccer game, but to me this is a beacon of why sports and various other past times are so important and this just shows that regions heal and this region still has that national pride and happiness after everything they've been through. It's inspiring and also to me shows how much the area is healing in comparison to not that long ago. I know there is still conflict and there a long ways but this video helps show the good of the area and all the good people in it which sadly is brushed over frequently in western media

Your opinion is wrong، Women can go to the stadium and celebrate، Go outside and have fun، There are many women working in hospitals as nurses, doctors, engineers, lawyers, etc، They have cars to drive، Law and religion allow this، Iraq is multi-idea and multi-religious، It has great historical and cultural depth، So the Iraqis have an open mind، So Iraq is very different from Afghanistan, if you think about it

When Donnie and Barstool produce better quality news and reporting than any other multi billion dollar news orgs/media companies. It's beautiful and amazing to see that Iraq is slowly finding it's way and creating a proud national identity, plus it's becoming a far "safer" place to travel to and visit for tourists. I pray that they continue on their path and they're eventually no more dangerous than traveling to Egypt or Dubai. I'm grateful that Donnie and his giant huevos traveled there to show the world that Iraq is no longer the place we were used to seeing in the news in the last 2 decades. If only the mainstream media in the U.S. would pull their heads out their asses and try reporting the truth, instead of the narrative and lies that they're known for now.

My favourite travel channel on RUclips. I’ve been to 32 countries and Don has the perfect energy for travelling. Like and comment on all his videos. Let’s get this gem of a human on top of the algorithm. He deserves millions of views and his own show on a streaming platform. Bourdain vibes.

Dude Donnie... love the channel and I think your vids are hilarious but you should know how much this means for the Iraqi people with this one. Glad you're doing this man, hopefully will see people back in that stadium having fun soon. And shout out to UAE for being good sports and helping convey this message.

Donnie you should do a series on college football towns this Fall. Pick a couple good games and just do your thing mingling with townies and local attractions before and during gameday.

The Bagdad videos have been awesome. Many from the west demonize anyone from the Middle East. You can just tell how welcomed you were this entire. They loved that you were enjoying their culture. This video helps restore a little faith in humanity. Keep them up.

People always ask that “what one human would you send as our species representative to meet aliens” question and you always hear dumb answers like The Rock or Elon Musk but honestly Donnie wouldn’t be a bad choice at all.
