But I would have never ever in my entire life have gone to a vfb vs ksc game. Even in school the hate between those cities was there. Teachers from that specific area in Baden-Württemberg were hated and teased. So stay safe!
thank you for your interest in German football culture. if we all shared the philosophy of being open to new views it might actually lead to a better world. hope it doesn't sound too weird but I like that attitude. enjoyed the video.

I kind of understand now what Taylor Twellman meant about no pressure and mediocrity in American sports. Image if a bad team in the NFL had to face that after every loss...
Nice Video. Great to see your excitement. You have to know that this derby is one of the most intense in germany because of the huge rivalry between the clubs.
Today a friend of mine got nearly beat up at our university because he wore a t-shirt of an soccer club witch the soccer club in our town doesnt like. So this is Germany...You can walk on campus as a transgender, as a communist, as a libertarian and youre fine, but when you were the wrong soccer shirt, youre in deep shit!
If anyone want to know the name of the song at 20.31 it is "hip hop instrumental 76 (Irish hood hop)" xD I wanted to know so I searched weeks for it 😂😂
I can't believe I just watched a 23 minutes video... I can't even watch 5 minutes videos of German RUclipsrs because they bore me. You are doing awesome videos and gave me a nice perspective to watch. Keep going on like this!
Honestly I think one more thing you should check out is "Rock am Ring". It is one of the biggest festivals in Germany. And takes place at the Hockenheimring which is a race course for the Formula1 and other events.
Hey Conner Frankly, I have no idea who you are and I don't care about football (either it's american one or the other worldwide one - OK that's only halfways true, actually I love the SPORT football (soccer) but for me it's not a religion like it is for those fans you saw at the stadium) but anyways I love your videos BECAUSE I'm always interested in what my home country Germany looks and feels like for foreigners, either if they are here for a visit or stay longer (maybe forever) and share their experiences. And the reason why I love your videos and why I subscribed is, that you are open minded like a child (I mean this as a compliment) - everything seems new and interesting for you, there is no "oh we do it completely different in the states", you try to understand, you are fascinated with everything that is new to you and that's what I call OPENminded and what helps bringing all people from all over the world together: you share your love and your passion and you get that also in return from the people around you (like the Stuttgart fans you met at the bus station or the Karlsruhe fan that told you about the so called "Dritte Halbzeit" (third halftime) where the fans from the teams fight each other). I hope you will never lose this and influence people with that kind of spirit to also be more open minded :)
Thank you for this comment, it means a lot that you said this. I really do try and understand the world from the perspective of the people I meet and it is my goal to be able to bring the world together (in a small way) through videos that I create. This is very encouraging so thank you!
Honestly never thought that spending 23 minutes on watching a football video could be this fun 😂👌🏻 even tho I know nothing about football I love going to the matches 😂🙈
Connor, try to get a ticket for the 24 of may: VfB - Würzburg. After this game VfB will get up in the first German socer leauge!!! The Stadion will escalet and there will be a big crazy party at the whole town
I don't usually comment on on RUclips videos but you did a great job capturing your experience and the whole atmosphere before, during and after the game. I also liked your attitude, showing up without a ticket and hoping to get a ticket, which you did. Very similar to what I have done many times during my travels... and it usually works, except one time in Rome Italy I felt victim to an Italian and bought a counterfeit ticket for a sold-out Roma game and of course I didn't get in because they were checking for bad tickets at the entrance...
But hooligans are very rare, and when they do not fight in the stadium because most of them are already banned from the stadium, they usually meet in the forest and then there are a few in the face. But in the stadium itself there is actually no violence, even if they kicked the fence quite blatantly, there would have been no real brawl.
You were bloody lucky your first match was VfB vs. KSC. This derby is always amazing ❤ Btw, they're not Hooligans, they're called "Ultras" and they are just really, really enthusiastic about the sport :)
@@pputnam100 Ultras are passionate fans, devoting their lives to the club. They are organizing the support, e.g. choreography, chants, pyro shows. They will also collect funds for local charity organisations in their respective city and actively work on keeping football culture alive and fan-friendly, therefore countering tendencies to commercialize the sport further and further (best example is England, where ticket prices are so high, the average-joe can't afford going to stadium regularly anymore, leading to a lack of atmosphere in the stadium). Hooligans on the other hand are basically looking for an opportunity to fight against other Hooligan groups. They will organize bare knuckle brawls on fields outside of cities, but also may try to start shit in the stadium. Hools and Ultras of a club are usually friends with each other, but generally said: Ultras are passionate, usually non-violent fans. Hools are violent fans, look to compete in fights in the name of their club/city.
What game or event should I go to next?!!

Janek Große bist du Hamburger?
thank you for your interest in German football culture. if we all shared the philosophy of being open to new views it might actually lead to a better world. hope it doesn't sound too weird but I like that attitude. enjoyed the video.
Next time try bvb dortmund vs Bayern München or Schalke 04! Have fun!😂😂
One can imagine how battles went down in Europe in the days.
1. Bundesliga
Hamburger SV : Werder Bremen
Schalke 04 : Borussia Dortmund
Best Derbys in Germany
Seth Freakin Rollins fantechnisch sind beide scheißen, das einzige derby in der 1. Liga, was man wirklich noch so nennen kann ist das Rheinische derby.
Christian Jackson dann fahr Sonntag mal ins Weserstadion

Haha vor 2 Jahren haben die Hamburger unsere Bremer Busse fast umgeschmissen das waren noch geile Errinerungen
Team WCEnte und morgen schmeißt unser Team die Hamburger aus dem Stadion😂💪

NAN MAN some guys there are idiots
Dude, I am an Indonesian who lived in Stuttgart since 2017 and i have been with the Stuttgart fans they are peacefull and no hooligans.

I'm from Germany hope you had a great time there welcome to Germany 😉
Man this is the first video of yours i've seen and it's unlike everything else I've ever seen here on youtube. It's like you are the definition of positive energy. Seriously, keep going man, you are awesome.
Go to a bvb vs schalke Game hahah
liebelise Bremen vs Hamburg 😉
liebelise Revier Derby NRW ! The best
Dann wird er angst bekommen :D
@@jakobherzog4072 Ne das sind beide scheiß Teams
6R0TT3 Not even close Rheinderby Köln Gladbach fickt alles
I kind of understand now what Taylor Twellman meant about no pressure and mediocrity in American sports. Image if a bad team in the NFL had to face that after every loss...
This happens quite rare and only at some teams.
Some fans are crazy. In the KSC fanblock this happens very often
It was just because the players played a really bad season, got relegated and lost this important game, normally the fans support their club
Pavel Fuchs lmao absolutely not! Not even close
Only American that shows the real football experience 👊🏻
TheEscape2012 haha in turkey they just straight up stab you
Same in Colombia, you just get jumped and mugged, and stabbed
it depends, i watched a game in Dortmund , there are a lot of fans who wear Munich t shirts
We're a little more civilized. lol
Whell, then dont wear soccer shirts in university🤷🏼♂️
If anyone want to know the name of the song at 20.31 it is "hip hop instrumental 76 (Irish hood hop)" xD I wanted to know so I searched weeks for it 😂😂
Milanotitan u r welcome 😂👍
I can't believe I just watched a 23 minutes video... I can't even watch 5 minutes videos of German RUclipsrs because they bore me. You are doing awesome videos and gave me a nice perspective to watch. Keep going on like this!
McPlayHD same😌
Minecraft RUclipsr sind halt langweilig😂😂😂😂
7:00 why would you ban drinking in public? It's just some beers
Honestly I think one more thing you should check out is "Rock am Ring". It is one of the biggest festivals in Germany. And takes place at the Hockenheimring which is a race course for the Formula1 and other events.
Comash tf, it doesn't
Sry nürnburgring right? mb
Comash sincd , I think last year it's on an Air base
,
Yeah but they are coming back again. At least that is what i heard
Hey Conner
Frankly, I have no idea who you are and I don't care about football (either it's american one or the other worldwide one - OK that's only halfways true, actually I love the SPORT football (soccer) but for me it's not a religion like it is for those fans you saw at the stadium) but anyways I love your videos BECAUSE I'm always interested in what my home country Germany looks and feels like for foreigners, either if they are here for a visit or stay longer (maybe forever) and share their experiences.
And I thank you for your good work :)
Let's make the world a better place ... together.
MickeyKnox Its called: Mein Erstes Deutsches Fussballspiel
+MickeyKnox Its not a religion... Its called male bonding.... Its pretty normal that Fans cheer up their team its done in every country....
MickeyKnox 7
You could say the game went mostly peaceful.
Nah we Germans normally keep games peaceful and this is the opposite
this is the real football man

JΞΛM Er war auch in der Landesschau im SWR
Honestly never thought that spending 23 minutes on watching a football video could be this fun 😂👌🏻 even tho I know nothing about football I love going to the matches 😂🙈
I live in Stuttgart (where the game was) and if there‘s a soccer game the whole city kinda prepares itself for it.⚽️ but it isn‘t always this brutal.🚨
Ich auch.
if ultras see you making films in their zone...
Connor, try to get a ticket for the 24 of may: VfB - Würzburg. After this game VfB will get up in the first German socer leauge!!! The Stadion will escalet and there will be a big crazy party at the whole town
Biep Biep 21.5XD
Biep Biep Jep, but I think there aren't any tickets anymore. All tickets are sold so far! :/
+Hippokrates He can go to the away section again xD Würzburg will not bring so many fans.
TheDeViSiOn Haha that's right! xD
Biep Biep Hannover steigt auf!
Football !! 😁
Don't use term soccer in Europe 😉😁
You have to visit Hanover against Braunschweig
i think a really crazy derby match is LOK Leipzig vs Chemie Leipzig
Does anybody know the name of the violin music starting at 20:32 ?
bitte schön ruclips.net/video/iNbi8nyejLY/видео.html
But hooligans are very rare, and when they do not fight in the stadium because most of them are already banned from the stadium, they usually meet in the forest and then there are a few in the face. But in the stadium itself there is actually no violence, even if they kicked the fence quite blatantly, there would have been no real brawl.
On this Sunday it happens again 😅
Respect for KSC from Glasgow Celtic
thanks
Steven_CFC why
Imagine bro had gone to the Revierderby in the Westfalenstadion... Or to RWE - Schalke... Yes I love 'em Schalke-hating clubs 😂
You have to visit a german "Schützenfest"
What about the German Schutzstaffel fest? Can I visit that one?
This is the type of game I've been dreaming of going to.
Hey I am from Germany and I think you should go to FC Schalke 04 vs Borussia Dortmund. Because that is THE German Derby.
Your about to hit 1M subscribers!
Montag Hamburg Derby der Hype ist so real🔥🔥🔥🔥💙💙💙
Bremen vs Hamburg ( Derby ) would be a great experience
You were bloody lucky your first match was VfB vs. KSC. This derby is always amazing ❤ Btw, they're not Hooligans, they're called "Ultras" and they are just really, really enthusiastic about the sport :)
how are they different from hooligans??
@@pputnam100
Ultras are passionate fans, devoting their lives to the club.
In Germany, we call it 3. (dritte) Halbzeit when guys go for a fight after a game.
You need to watch a Dynamo Dresden game !
Stuttgart!!💪⚪🔴
... great Video by the way!
and I thought Raider games were scary LOL
“ you know if the riot police are out, it’s going to be a good day!” 😂😂😂
You really NEED to see a derby between BVB and Schalke 04
