I was blown away by the new sounds in 1991. It was an epic time to be attending clubs and raves. All so fresh and moving. The ecstasy was unreal and people literally lost their minds hearing the dj's playing "god like" music. It was the best times I ever experienced. It was truly the sounds I was hearing and the very large community of ravers that were hardcore. We believed in it. It changed our lives and it was a sense of belonging that I had never felt before! Agree that in my humble opinion 91 was the best for pure, original, banging headrush tunes.
90 had many classics in its own right. More mellow though. By 92 the tunes had morphed a bit and were less original. By 93 it had all died for me. 52 year old dad and “respectable” business owner.🤪❤️😎
These were some of the best times of my life. I love these bang ing tunes, I was in my early twenties then fifty one now but still there in my heart and mind. Rave on.

I'm 50 next year. These tunes have never left me and ALWAYS transport me back to those precious few years at the end of the 80s and beginning of the 90s. The scene had such a huge influence personally. It was ours. A homegrown phenomenon. The road trips, music, lasers, ecstacy......it was like I'd been waiting all my life for it. Best times ever. Sitting in a bassbin or brockin wild with complete strangers, I lived for it back then. And whilst I'm sad its long past (although seems like yesterday), I'm grateful to have been at the right age when it emerged and to have experienced the likes of which may never be repeated. Big up to my brother's and sisters that were there with me. We were part of something special. Thank you

Takes me right back there, banging bass, sweaty bodies, met my husband in 91, we still here, our 3 kids are carrying the torch on. I’m 55 now and i really love to dance to all the tunes, but can’t do it all night these days, my knees and my back hurt too much!

If you missed the summer of love you missed the zenith.
Some great tunes and great times before the scene split in 93 into Happy Hardcore and Jungle which really killed the essence of what raving was all about, Instead of peace love and unity, you had pilled head nutters and attitude.

My days: Helter Skelter, the eclipse, amnesia, Shelley’s in Stoke, hacienda, the Dome Birmingham, coast to cost / the bass place. Birmingham, plus the countless one nighters…pirate radio etc.. you know the score. Every week day and weekends where possible. Way of life

1991 was a great year for raving it takes me right back! I was toasted then most of the time having a good time out every weekend with my mates. Brilliant!!
Love this, so many memories bouncing back to me on the dance floor and all the amazing people I met along the way, some are still in my life, others moved on for watever reason and thats ok, here's to the old skool crew who made this so real at the time.

I used to DJ hard house on Unity FM in Hull but these were only remixes of hardcore. Hardcore was only for the head strong :)

My pal didn't understand that we are not listening to the music but we are listening to the memories that came with it just close your eyes forget your name forget the world forget the people after a dove I was best dancer in the place and we were all super confident talking to total strangers and ending up going with them and their convoy to someone's house party you could talk to girls like you were casanova pulling like an adonis great times
This kind of music takes me back to my childhood. Always remember some of the older kids I knew at the time, who used to have these big cases which opened kinda like folders with about 6 or more tapes in them full of this music.
