It's crazy how time flies? We are so fortunate to be able to have experienced it. This past couple years, I have been tracking down vinyl from our era. I treat each record as if its a piece of history. My collection is slowly taking shape. Every track has so many memories attached to it.
Only the true 90's ravers will never forget what it was like to have been a part of a scene that lives long in our memories & hearts. The music brought us all together, weekend after weekend, traveling up & down the land. I'm proud to call myself an original raver.
Joey you know what it was like to be there meeting up and travelling up and down the country meeting up with your posse and dancing the night/weekend away I’m also very proud to of been part of a movement we were going to change the world love and respect ✊
This is like the original motown you will never ever replicate the 90s rave scene i type this as iam rushing and shivering down my back bone In 20 years time maybe but it wont be the same proud to say original raver 51yrs of age. Thank you you tube buzzin👍👍👍
I'm 58 now, started in 88 went all the way through to 94 but 92 was the best year for tunes. Respect to all that were there and to those that weren't respect also for loving real tunes!
I started listening to Stu Allen on Key 103 every Saturday in 1992 as a 16 year old after starting college as everyone there was into this. I was a diehard heavy metal fan but also loved this stuff and went to a few raves. There are a few tracks I remember and have been looking for since and still can't find them! :D
@@DavidB-rx3km I was also a Heavy Metal freak love Black Sabbath etc but loved the Rave scene, I am always finding tracks that make me go YES there you are!

Hi 👋 we’re did I go in London do you remember Fusion at Marquee,,,Astoria Orange 🍊 breakfast club then on to fish on oxford st that was just 1 night 😂😱 out go sleep that’s Friday done now sat do it all again back then I was well known an didn’t have to pay that was pretty kool but there was always somewhere to go I remember vivid in Angel Bagleys n went Milton Keynes couple times b safe bro 1 family 🤪😃
I was doing a few months of casual agricultural work near Cambridge in 1992. I was lodging with a middle aged couple, they were nice enough but it was in the middle of nowhere and the evenings and weekends were pretty dull. One day their son visited. He was about my age and when I told him I was bored he asked me 'Ever been to a rave?' Everything I experienced for the next decade stemmed from that conversation.
In 92 I was 12, and I used to sit in my bedroom with the radio dial right over to the far right picking up a local pirate radio station playing this type of hardcore music.
Let's bring these times back top pills and having a good smoke of solid work all week just for the weekend ah. I know for a fact i would go bk and stay 45 yers old miss this not like now people holding phone and no jump about like a mad man loved it lets bring these time bk.......

As this music starts to age to the point some tracks are 30-35 years old, it's amazing to look back at it now. In 1992 if you went back 35 years musically you're in 1957, the age of Elvis and Little Richard. If kids listen to rave music these days, do they feel that same distance? Will we witness a comparable phenomenon again? A scenario where innovators carve out an entirely new musical genre with profound impact? Maybe the youth feels like it's already happened and what's the point, maybe this music is still too modern? I'd love to hear from the people my age, 44, how does it feel to hear these tracks and compare them to anything today? Seems like this is still as cutting edge as anything. I know something will come along, it always does. But what in the world is going to sound like? Will it be as great of a leap as Elvis to this?
I'm 41 now and I know I'm a youngster. But I first discovered rave music when I was 10. So it's been a massive part of my life. I just wish I was born earlier, so I could've been there with you all ❤❤❤
This was and always will be what it was all about. Pure sonic bliss and vibe mixed with a never ending ocean of complete ecstasy and freedom. Then it was all about the Music with no egos with everyone in unity reaching highs that were infinite. Today everything is to commercial and borrows from this scene through lack of originality. We were all there -- We witnessed it --felt it -- Lived it. I would step back in a heart beat if I could. Dancing in a crowd under an array of lasers and smoke while the DJ cut a track in lifting the energy's to heights unimaginable. Its hard to conceive for the new generation what we had and will always hold dear. So many new things happening each and every Day. Consoles, Clothes , Music it was the highest high imaginable. No internet or Facebook or crap like that - Just pure undiluted power that once felt could never ever be destroyed. Hat off to the ravers who was there and felt what we felt and hold so dear. Long live that sonic sunrise and universal unity. Peace Brothers and Sisters.
As most people my age, my walls in my bedroom were covered in fliers, when I moved out I put them all in a folder and put them in the loft. They are still there today and 90% of the fliers in this video seem so familiar. Thanks for the reminder :)

1988 was my intro aged 18 to the Rave scene and 30 plus years later still remember those heady weekends of following cars around the country to get to an illegal rave. Energy in Guildford 🙂
What a mix. 1992 stands alone as the greatest year in dance music history. 91 and 93 were very good, but '92 is the daddy. I turned 16 in July that year so sadly missed out on the amazing raves and clubs that were about during that era.

46 and so blessed to have been part of this era in dance music, the countless hours spent listening to tune after tune in record shops taking them home smashing out a mix tape then giving it to my friends, the lost hours buzzing like a 20 year old fridge dancing like no one cared at rave after rave the most amazing vibes being had the memories forged in my brain I only hope will never fade, Hardcore will never die!!!
Much love for this! Listening to the good old days makes me happy and sad in equal measure, miss those days...and I also still have 50% of these flyers in my memory box upstairs. Peace, love, unity!
Late psychonaut and ethnobotanist Terence McKenna had praise for the rave scene, describing it as a spontaneous nostalgic impulse to return to an earlier stage in human development, an archaic revival. He saw in it parallels in primitive psychedelic fireside dance with hypnotic drumming and trance-like chanting. It is indeed a bygone era, something to be sad about, something to lament, but the fact that we can organize such events and participate in these ancient rituals is a cause to rejoice, to be happy. We have had enough of civilizational progress and are aware of these things now; we are now reconnecting with our mother, with nature, and are having such events openly and legally in the plains and forests among the loving embrace of the stars and trees.
Born in 82. Started listening in 92-93 raved to hardcore when it was uncool in 98-99 not the happy stuff the second coming. As my generation are all 92 nerds it was a good underground time for those that knew. Plus we all love this stuff
Left school 91. Raved from 91-94 when things started to decline in the scene. So happy to have been part of this and fortunate enough to have been a wanna be DJ at the time so got to meet some of the greats during support at dance paradise. Miss these times ❤
Wow, got mugged in memory lane. Shelley's, Stoke, Wigan Pier, F'kin brilliant. As below; bring back the 90s. Gave out fliers for Dreamscape, too many years ago. Well done, nice compilation. Andy F
Goosebumps from the memory of dancing in fields in the West Country every weekend. Beats anti-depressants hands down, or hands in the air. No matter what life throws at me, I am cheered up knowing I had a total blast in the 90s. No can take that away from me. Don't be mature, be your age. Don't waste your youth.
This is outstanding!!! I felt 30 years younger momentarly. Over an hour of music and not a single second that I wouldn't like. Beautiful. MG, when these 30 years passed???
I was 17....started ravin at 15 in 1990...was into breakdance then acid house...& never looked back!...well only for nostalgia!....but hey fk me....we were a lucky generation...to of experienced this level of musical perfection...pure love & ecstasy....1 love to all ravers out there!!!....we will rave in Paradise

Born In 90 wishing it was just 15 or 20 years earlier love my jungle and dnb but this is when it all started !
You will never see another musical shift for a long time, so many memories and good times, thanks for the walk down memory lane.

Oh yes, always 48 now, and, still listen, the best
Goosebumps from the memory of dancing in fields in the West Country every weekend. Beats anti-depressants hands down, or hands in the air. No matter what life throws at me, I am cheered up knowing I had a total blast in the 90s. No can take that away from me. Don't be mature, be your age. Don't waste your youth.
This is outstanding!!! I felt 30 years younger momentarly. Over an hour of music and not a single second that I wouldn't like. Beautiful. MG, when these 30 years passed???

Hello Paul.
It’s crazy. Where have all those yesterdays gone? 48 Christmases and 47 summers. Life teaches you some lessons but one that’s not emphasised is how fast time goes by. 1992 was a great year and coming of age for me.
