God bless you Dr. Being following since last year. Started my farm this year (about 800 strands of plantains and bananas) The next step is to incorporate poultry (for eggs)into my farm. Hearing you say you started about three years ago is an inspiration. I am on my way to being a great farmer... keep it up Dr.
I've learned much from you especially as someone who wants a farm and want to begin with poultry ( broilers) and then move up to other birds- turkeys, guinea folks and ducks. But first I need to be successful with the chickens. Thanks for your time & sharing your challenges and solutions.
Hi Dr. Daniel and thank you for opening yourself to us that way! Very interesting to hear your point of view. I am in the US and I raise purebred chickens, turkeys and goats. I also raise a lot of rabbits (have been for a very long time) and I can tell you that wire cages are the safest and cleanest housing for them. If you provide at least 3 feet by 2 feet per adult rabbit, they will be happy and healthy. Raising them on the ground will increase the parasites and make the productivity disappear. Just my own experience, but it is also the opinion of most rabbit farmers here in the US and around the world. Cheers!
Free grazing rabbits, you need to fence a cubicle using chick mesh and chain link and maybe cover on top and sides if need be. The cubicle should be on grass area. The thing with his method rabbits do dig on ground to have a place. Also put some structure just incase they need more shade... we used this method when a kid in Kenya and as along he structure is well fenced to avoid predictor you are good to go
Love the answers in your video. You asked a question on how you can free range rabbits. You can build a wooden/ wire mesh cages for the breeders (does and bucks) that are sheltered and stationary in some shade. And also, build Joel Salleton style chicken tractors but put slats of wood about 3 inches apart from another at the bottom to prevent escape. "chicken caravan" on RUclips has great ideas for rabbit tractors. You can alter the structural plans to fit your climate and materials. I have a question... Do you think you will ever get pigs or, is it too hot there and you don't have enough water to keep them cool?
Thank you Doctor Daniel. I am from Liberia. I always watching you and I am getting more interested in chicken farming. Hoping to start very soon. Hope to pay you a visit to learn more from you. Thanks.
Hi Doc. I love watching your videos. Very inspirational and I am not a farmer. Lol 😆 I do remember my grandma raising many animals when I was growing up in the Caribbean. 🇧🇧
Let me answer the fellow asking about Sokoto Red goats. They are native to arid regions and do not like rainfall. Change the breed to the dwarf goat or other breed more localized to the rain forest of Southern Nigeria.
Hi Dr. Daniel, I view you from all the way in the caribbean, Tobago to be exact and I aspire to besuccessful as you are and like others who has commented, I just wanna say, keep on going cuz you inspire the majority of us.
Its sad to hear about Bingo.Farming is what am thinking of getting into , i started watiching your videos two months ago and you are an inspiration. This gives me the confidence to plan towards my dream. Thank you Dr.
Also if you have books, other authorities you will recommend on other aspects of farming that's outside poultry please let the community know about it.
Hello Dr Daniel, thanks for all the great work at farm up, please which books would you recommend specifically for poultry farming? what books made a huge shift in your mind? Please if you will do a youtube video or post about it, that will be greatly appreciated.
Can you get a demonstration farm since you said you do not allow visitors to your farm!! I just started watching you from Wode Maya trip . Thank you Dr.
Dr Daniel. My question on poultry comes this way,how would you advise a person who is interested with poultry and other animal farming like dairy in an area where marketing is poor ? And what breed of chicken would advise on the same considering the approach is for source of income ?
I am Rising Rabbits in Cages. I only have 100square feet space for my rabbits in my backyard. I am waiting for your ideas and advices. I am learning about farming. It's hard for student to do while studying but you guys inspiring Me
So pissed off about Bingo mann. You make farming sound and look easy always. God bless you for sharing hopefully one day we will send you vids of our inspired work so you can see the impact you have on people.
Your friend with the goats needs to check for parasites. Broilers are more aggressive eaters than layers. They will eat all the food and leave the layers wanting. With rabbits, research the Warren System. All in all out.
I second parasites. If he can also find a veterinarian to test for it, Johne's Disease (paratuberculosis). It weakens the animals and renders them emaciated.
Greetings Dr. Daniel. We were doing good selling our eggs this Summer and we got a lot of customers. Now, we have a problem. Many of our chickens are molting. As Fall is approaching, the hens are not laying much so we cannot supply our customers well. What can we do to get them laying again?
Hi Doc. You are an inspiration to many across the continent. Would you be in a position to share contacts for your supplier of parent stock? Am from Zambia.

Dr.Daniel I hope you're well. I want to start poultry farming but its easy to get chicks around here. Could it be a good idea if I can venture into hatchery and poultry farming at the same time? If yes can I get tips of how hatchery is conducted.
If i have a chicken house measuring 11m long by 6m wide, can i stock 1,000 Broiler chicken in it? Secondly, if the longer sides of the building is facing east and west while the shorter sides of the building is facing North and South, which sides can i leave the walls down while making sure that Rainfall does not enter inside? Thanks.
