Not a proud moment. India won gold in hockey in every Olympics from 1928 to 1964( except 1960 when it silver). India was really in invincible in hockey at that time and the team which didn't let India win gold at that time was pakistan which was a part of India at that time and now we are so much happy with a bronze and people are saying that Dhyan Chand would be happy now. It is good that we won a medal after 41 years but now we need gold. India has won a total of 10 gold medals in Olympics out of which 8 are of hockey. We would have won more if India and Pakistan would not have been seperated.

Our lack of necessary equipment's and services towards our athletes has impacted our teams immensely but now times seem to change especially for sports where Indians ace. We are realizing the importance of it all so someday gold will be ours too

Any sportsman who wins and prooves himself to be a champion in the global platform, should be awarded with their own training center. This will boost moral of more and more sportsman as they'll then, only need to prove themselves after which, a mode of making a living is literally waiting for them... Plus in the new education policy, government should mandate sports. With giving the children privilege of choosing what they want to learn. This will encourage students to socialize more and choose a hobby that many can make a profession... Students who are physically challenged or are incapable due to some reason should also be allowed to learn a sport that they are comfortable playing. This will again insue more and more physically challenged kids to follow their dreams and teach them to never give up... That's all I want, and I know my country needs...

When India was constantly winning in hockey on natural grass the new rule of hockey was published, from now onwards hockey will be played on artificial grass only which is very costly, this law was made only to degrade the hockey's passion in India Ps. Also the government doesn't know how to segregate freedom fighters fighters from the notion of Bharat Ratna, each of them is above Bharat Ratna. Also Jawahar Lal Nehru deserved the Bharat Ratna even for his contributions to modern India. I don't necessarily have to give examples of how many countries have gone downhill after colonisers left them - political instabillty , undemocratic rule and terrible economy plague so many countries. And India after independence was the biggest bet that the western countries made as to which country would succumb to such situations So, a lot of credit must be given to Nehru ji and LPG reforms of 1991 that no such thing happened in India .

Khel ratna, the highest award in sports is named after Legendary Major Dhyan Chand. A tribute to India's most iconic sports Hero and One of the Greatest sporting icon the world has ever seen. Hoping for Bharat Ratna for true Bharat Ratna soon. Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna will now be the name of Highest sports award in India.
P. S. Indian Hockey teams(both men and women) did exceptionally well in Tokyo Olympics. Men team won any medal (5th August 2021)at Olympic after 41 years and Women team ended at 4th spot in Tokyo Olympics(6th August 2021) after playing semifinal and bronze medal match.
Great work. We also lost one more legend of hockey on 25 May this year, Sir Balbir Singh Dosanjh.
