When someone sings an old song like this and sounds like that he’s meant to be on The Voice ! I loved the way he sounded ! Very nice job he did !
It sounds like this season we get a lot more less overplayed songs! In the last 5 seasons they kept repeating the same songs and gave contestants Shawn Mendas Billie Eilish etc.
He butchered that song. ugh. It's a song meant to sound romantic. (it's always been a favorite of mine) He tried to make it a rock song.

Saw him at treasure island florida with a handful of folks. He was awesome. Someone give him a contract.
This song brought back memories of driving from Adelaide to Armidale in NSW as a kid with my dad back in 1981-82-83. We would play the country winners collection on the cassette in the car and this song was one of my favourites. I thank my dad for bringing country into my life at such an early age and it is great to see that Alex did this song his way but gave it justice at the same time.

As an Englishman & a country fan its great to see this guy on the voice USA, ofc as ppl have pointed out Country is alive & well in the UK but sadly for some reason they don't ever tryout (as far as i can remember) for the UK talent shows The Voice UK or BGT
