    Lately my friend and Is 2v2 line up is I start with a Hellbringer opener and once I push out, break the two raid camps and get my eco back to a normal state. While my friend gets a Hunter Captain out and hazes the enemy until his scarab comes out. It's a really unique strategy. This late game video has helped. Usually the opener doesn't work, it's to hurt eco, but I switch into Grizzlies or hogs. So this helped me in switching as fast as I can and also preparing for late game. Great video BTC.

      I'm really confused as to why Yellow never made turrets during that final engagement. He could've gotten two and perhaps one upgraded to anti vehicle in that time and that to me would be smarter than pumping Scorpions while you had hunters waiting for them.

    Most of my games last into the half hour mark. The only time it takes twenty minutes is either when the enemy is incompetent and has a poor rush or bad army composition. Great video guys!

    Hey BTC, I had to pause mid video. your engineers are very important to micro manage for their ability. Set you engineers to a group and then when you see the MAC blast coming in you can hit Y once and that reduces the MAC's damage by 40%, which is very important. Like all abilities by units, selecting all of 1 unit type and pressing Y on open ground unless it's an offensive ability will activate it only once. With 7 engineers, and the shield lasting for about 7 seconds your army can have a damage reduction buff for about 49 seconds! That makes a world of difference in fights, especially for blocking those leader powers

      Altair Fate great point my man! Thanks for pointing that out. I've been assigning my engies to control group 3 lately for fast reactions and shield drops. You're absolutely right. Being fast on the shield can save an army in an engagement! -Slick

      You had about 5 during your first locust engagement, you could have saved almost all of them by just cycling the engineer shield...
      I just trigger all units, and they're always your first or second unit (leader takes up first) so I just micro and switch every 7 sec to them again and fire another shield...
      Most of these engagements you could have had one on all your units, and use them to help Preston too, any time you're leaving your units to go build more at the base, trigger a shield first

    I main forge and I have my late game strategy down to a science but I'm just clueless as to what the best way to deal with an early game rush. how to distribute resources and what build to do. I can't find to many forge videos out there

      I would say use heavy metal, marines and hellbringgers to be aggressive to keep them from getting too large of a rushing army then to hogs and Hornets for hit and run attacks on expansions and minis then go from there.
      Also remember forge hog Is great for defense against infantry but it gets shredded by grenade spam

    Just pointing out, you totally could have used mass cloaking whenever yellow brought his tanks back when you were attacking his base. he didn't have any healers or snipers to detect so majority or your locust would have stayed alive then you could have used those to take out reds snipers when he came to assist his teammate. Sorry for the long comment, I just seen that during the video and felt like I had to say something lol anyway great video, I watch just about every single videos you guys post lol keep up the work!

    How you lose it is simple: Either (a) have a teammate that commits seppuku by rushing with units without considering you economy or (b) commit seppuku by rushing with units without multitasking for the future. TL;DR Being or partnering with a dumbass.

    Yo, try reavers, hunters, and engineers with skitterers attached. That's pretty unstoppable. the only threats that you have are cyclopses and snipers (which could be rinsed by the skitterers). Plus, the engineer shield can help you win any battle.
    Hence, you should do an engineer-skitterer defensive opener and transition into reavers and hunters later in the game.
    Plus, one hunter's brand would easily take out any infantry. I remember sending 6 squads of elite rangers to kill hunters and watching them get rinsed by the hunter's brand instantly.

    Please upload the HWCL games to RUclips from now on BTC! I like watching the twitch stream, but can’t be present most of the time due to work. Plus, being able to watch each individual match at my own pace is much more desirable

    Hey Slick I'm needing an Isabelle strategy that will deny rushes. The AI tends to rely on early game rushing a lot. I'm actually trying to learn how to do this now but I'm not having any luck. Ideas?

    The other day I had a 45 minute game constant push and pull in fact we flipped bases on the map they lost theirs and we took them and vice versa. I much prefer them games. It's called halo wars, not halo rush

      ByDiegoreta12 shipmasters pretty versatile with his leader abilities Teleport is typically used to move your units away from leader abilities quick

    BtC i just want u all to know i would of loved to sign up but im quitting halo wars 2. probs gonna hand the game back in because i can never ever ever play 1 single game without it losing connection and dropping out. this doesn't look like its ever gonna get fixed. im done with the game. gl to everything

      You should try playing the game on a PC. It would be different n you'd have to learn new controls, but if you really like the game, then try playing it on a laptop or computer...?

    I'm new to Halo Wars and am used to long RTS games that develop after time, every time I hear "this is the best rush strat" it makes me cringe a little. Why is this considered a good strategy? It just seems cheap and boring if you actually wanted fun..

      Maybe competitively it's good, but in casual it's just as bad as someone camping in a casual FPS server in the spot where you can't get hurt, just to get those pro snips(tm)

      I feel you. me and my mate have been playing halo wars for 13 years. And halo wars two is decisively worse than than the first due to the sheer fact pumping out rush units is so much cheaper than building any coherent army. Plus there isn't really any map or unit advantages. For example in total war the high ground is unbelievably important as is artilary and sending cav round. Each unit is important and playing with those units is so much fun. As it is in non rush games here, but rushing reduces the game to cheap FPS tactics that bore and infuriate. As I said me and my mate have been playing halo wars for 13 years and still refuse to stoop to a rush. For the sheer fact a big war is so much fun. It's called halo wars, not halo rush.

    This is so stupid, your building 6 locust. He has a bunch of vehicles and hunters, go air and hunters to counter. Could also pick a few elite rangers

      Your locust aren’t even doing anything your hunters are doing all the work. Plus you don’t have a shield gen at 8 mins kinda lame.
