The juxtaposition of "laying off the cast and crew" and "like the Kraken in the pirate caves" always makes me imagine a Kraken sadly walking out of the park with a box of his belongings
The vocals are low key great. Also, I had watched the Evermore video countless times before making it fully to the end, then one morning I woke up in the middle of the night and this was playing. I fell in love with it lol
This is the most amazing payoff to a 3-hour video I have ever experienced. I hadn't heard the original (somehow), and now I can't listen to it without wanting to hear "like the kraken in the pirate caves"
"Lost the satyr, haven't seen him since lore" "I've been on the train but all the music's wrong, takes me out of time with every song" "Wire dragons.. baskin in the sun" "(✨️Couldn't cover all the costs✨️)" How are these not the original lyrics, that's what blows my mind
I had no idea this was a taylor swift song. RUclips just auto plays Jenny's evermore video a lot for me after other videos. It usually wakes me up a minute after it starts playing and it's honestly a great way to wake up. it's a beautiful song and after listening to the taylor swift version, I definitely prefer this
It's quite suitable. A lot of songs from Evermore (album) have a dream-like quality to them, and arguably the album as a whole goes from dreams to reality. Evermore (song) seems to be about going through a painful time and eventually realizing it won't last forever. Evermore (park) is like... the same idea as Evermore (album) but the inverse of Evermore (song).
It’s so fitting. No one wanted the park to fail, everyone wanted to believe they could actually pull it off. The creator, the crew, Jenny Nicholson, you, me, all of us. And yet it couldn’t be
I unashamedly prefer this to Taylor's, I've listened to it like 80 times since I watched Jenny's video. I still put the video on when I'm doing chores, I love hearing your song at the end. Beautiful work!
Put on YT before falling asleep. Woke up to this song. A person in my dream casually put it on and I was blown away. Transitioning from dream-state to being awake to this song was astounding. No idea about the nearly 4hr video though
youtube has auto played that video for quite some for me. A couple times a month I'll wake up to this song and it's honestly an amazing way to wake up. :')
omg that's crazy because I once woke up to this song too!! it was so beautiful. I was half awake and genuinely believed it was the original Evermore song (even though I've never listened to the original)
it’s genuinely embarrassing that i know in like ten years im gonna remember this parody and go back and start crying from nostalgia for being a teen watching absurdly long youtube videos over and over again while i live life and stuff
I had never heard the original when I heard this cover in the Jenny Nicholson video. I went and listened to the original and honestly...this one is better.
The original is one of my favourite songs of all time and I don't know if I can say I like this one *more*, but I think I like it just as much. I want Taylor to remake the original song with this production.
Thank you so much for uploading this!! I'll reference this when I cover this song LOL. I think the only mistake might be at 4:09 - I believe it's "Waitin in Vander's Keep Hall" instead of "We didn't Vander's Keep On"
I wanted her soo badly to mention "unable to sit in the caboose, no way to purchase my baby any juice." I am new to Jenny she's much better than rotten mango refreshing change.
I don't really understand much of music, but I kind a like this parody more than the original. Is it because I have a relation to the video it spawned from where I have no relation to the Taylor Swift album?
I think its the background instrumental and the lyrics hit better somehow with their punchlines (not that Swifts' lyrics need to be funny its just punchlines are nice in songs)
I don't watch loads of her videos but I thought this was HER singing it about her experiences? Like she had some singing talent/experience. Still cool if she paid someone else to make it.
She must have. The reference to missing the ceremony is too specific to likely be otherwise. It’s basically a song summarizing her experience and findings.
In the video there is a point where she says "if i were evermore i would have leaned into the Taylor swift thing and hired a local bluegrass band to play a parody song" so yes, im certain she wrote the lyrics and hired a local bluegrass artist lol
on the beginning of this video there credits for vocals, instrumentals and mixing but not for lyrics so i'm assuming jenny wrote it, I mean, she did create friendship is witchcraft lol
Theres something so funny about Jenny basing this on a Taylor Swift song at the end of the video, when Evermore was so worried a about being confused with the album
I want to thank Jenny for making this happen. It's absolutely beautiful; Constantine Bard's medieval arrangement is far superior to T. Swift's piano based arrangement and both singers are better vocalists than T. Swift. Jenny's lyrics are funny/poignant. All in all, this stomps the original like a grape.
The juxtaposition of "laying off the cast and crew" and "like the Kraken in the pirate caves" always makes me imagine a Kraken sadly walking out of the park with a box of his belongings
I legit get so emotional when I hear "wire dragons basking in the sun." This song unlocks a kind of wistful sadness I didn't know I had
Dude same, that line legitimately makes me tear up. I don’t even really know how to describe the way it makes me feel, it’s just a really sad image
Same 😭 "same world walkers, trying all the locked doors"

@@nailinthefashion I'm only finding out that this is a spoof because of you guys's comments.
@@AnxiousGary it's just so unironically good, it's scary
Rest in peace, Evermore.

Literally just happened to me lol
Operating at a loss😢
But we’ll open in the fall again💪
These are the lyrics of a certified hood classic.
Legit tho, could we talk about how sad this song's vibe is? Like waking from a dream you wish was real...which I guess is pretty appropriate...
Hearing the ideas behind it and seeing what a pityful excuse of a park it utimately became really is tragic. The concept sounds amazing.

This song is the reason that I’ve watched Jenny‘s post about 50 times now. It gets me through the night and this hypnotic ending haunts me.
I unashamedly prefer this to Taylor's, I've listened to it like 80 times since I watched Jenny's video. I still put the video on when I'm doing chores, I love hearing your song at the end. Beautiful work!
Your comment made me unashamed that I've passively watched Jenny’s longer videos multiple times.
I didn't even know this was a cover of a Taylor song. I just liked it and sought it out lol
Lost the satyr
Haven’t seen him since Lore 😔

I have woken up with this song in my head more than once.
"OR THE JACK THE REAPER FIVE PART HUNT" GETS ME EVERYTIME HAHAHAHAHAHAHHA
Ok but is it weird that I love this song on a genuine emotional level, like it’s funny, it’s a great bit, but it also makes me kinda sad.
This song is the enjoyable cherry on top of the mesmerizing sundae of Jenny's video :D
This completely slaps, I have listened to it so many times
Thank you now I can put this on loop instead of having to manually scroll back on Jenny's video xD
Same 😆
A person of great taste
Thank you for giving deaf/hard-of-hearing Jenny fans access to the lyrics!
The transcript and auto-gen captions on the video didn't include them.
I had never heard the original when I heard this cover in the Jenny Nicholson video. I went and listened to the original and honestly...this one is better.
This song makes me so happy ✨ Perfect ending to Jenny’s hilarious, insightful, awesomely researched video!

I think it's a reference to keep on and carry on LMAO I cannot
If you cover it it'll technically be a cover of a Taylor Swift song
I think you might be right, but the change is sooo much funnier
This is hilarious. This is REAL lore of Evermore 🤣🤣
You are a real MVP for uploading this!
THANK YOU I WAS LOOKING 4 THIS
I wanted her soo badly to mention "unable to sit in the caboose, no way to purchase my baby any juice." I am new to Jenny she's much better than rotten mango refreshing change.
What an obscure channel to upload this to lmao. Quite frankly, we need more, Jenny & co
i love this song
thank you so much!!
Makes me cry
This is so amazing! Beautiful, funny and just a banger.
Do y'all think Taylor has heard this
Here 2 years later because I heard this over the credits at the end of Jenny's Evermore video.
I don't really understand much of music, but I kind a like this parody more than the original.

Partially but also it's just a completely different song imo somehow sadder and funnier

This parody is why she ignores Evermore as an album /joking

anyone know if jenny is the one singing cuz oml
Nope - the vocals are credited to Palmer Lee and Kosta H on the video
