Honestly, the bit about losing her tooth in place of a glass slipper, was hilarious. Not just for being a terrible idea, but that it really could have been used better and was genuinely unique and fit the western setting for a rougher, tougher theme. COULD HAVE BEEN AWESOME. lol

There’s another anthropomorphic animal western movie that I discovered recently, it’s called “The Lion Kid”. It was released in 2019, which means that the release year choice, (plus the title choice), was done on purpose to cash in on the live action remake of “The Lion King” that came out that same year. I think you should give it a shot when you have the chance.
The worst part is that the texturing and modeling look really good. There was clearly talent behind the movie, but it clearly didn't work out because of other weaknesses.
Hello! Yes, as a person who does a lot of 3D modeling, styles and texture work, I would love to talk about this. Rango had absolutely amazing artists working on it, Justin Holt, (Responsible for texturing on Rattlesnake Jake, Roadkill armadillo, Spirit of the West, The Mayer, William Furgus and probably a lot more too) Their work in the detailing is phinominal and part of what makes Rango so appealing to me. the sheer detail and how they crafted these gross yet clashing characters. Almost uncanny because there's so much detail in just the face and not on the body or clothes? and then the lighting department. CAN WE PLEASE TALK ABOUT HOW MUCH BLOOM THIS AWEFUL CINDERELLA MOVIE USED ?!?! Look at Rango, look how beautifully they executed their lighting, the way it shines behind the characters like a true western film, the way it adds so much feeling of heat and thirst, and even the the way they lit the darkness with blues. Then there's this movie. Where they just tossed in the brightest a sets of lighting, inconsistant character coloring that clashes with the background??? it's like someone used Sunlight in Blender and turned it up to 9999999 in some scenes holy crap.
We have this odd habit of getting the best food for bad movie nights, took us a year to realize we are doing it. This movie will require something heavenly.
You know what the funny thing is? Legendary writer Alan Moore in an interview said: in order to write smt good, you need to read smt bad in order to make yourself thinking about the bad book/movie could be better, so in the end, you might end up writing a better plot, better script, ect.
I really need to get this out, and I know it’s going to come off as sad or even just depressing, especially for the content of the video. I suffer from clinical depression, and I’ve been watching saber for 5 years now. I really want to say that his channel is ultimately what keeps me going, and it’s the only thing that can put a genuine smile on my face with the consistent videos that are well thought out and brilliant. Not only that he’s stayed genuine to his audience throughout these years, which isn’t usually the case for most RUclipsrs. And the bottom line is that he’s stayed an inspiration to me, and I‘m even thinking to start a channel of my own because of him.

I honestly can't understand why child me asked my dad to buy me this movie in Walmart so badly😂 like seriously, I think it might've just been the pretty looking animal lady on the cover. And the worst part is that i enjoyed it! I liked the movie when i was a kid and I even remember not liking the second half of it as much as the first part and i remember liking the joke abtthe main villain being scared of Little Cloud cuz he kept thinking of him as "Big Storm" which is stupid, but i enjoyed it.

Holy ****, how did they make a side character with less than a minute screen time this badass !? I would rather watch that on loop for 1 hour for $5 than this Wild West Cinderella for free!

It's not Cinderella or anthro, but there's a graphic novel called Rapunzel's Revenge that puts the fairytale in a fantasy-western setting, and it's great. Rapunzel puts her hair into twin braids and uses them as lassos.

That Dark Souls "YOU DIED" joke reminded me of a joke I made to my friend when she and I were watching Transformers: Rise of the Beasts. During one battle Optimus Prime was swarmed with these almost human-size drones which made up the bulk of the "copy-pasted cannon fodder army" for this movie. The shot cut away, but when it cut back, I leaned in and said "Disassemble Freddy". She had a good laugh at that one.
It's never a bad thing to have strong female characters in media. It's always a plus! BUT, I would like to add some nuance to this topic and hopefully you don't chew me out too much, lol. I've always found it funny how each Cinderella adaptation that comes out continues to turn her into more of a "tough" girl in order to make her more of a strong female role model for girls because they see her previous portrayals as "weak", "boring", "too nice", and a "doormat". While it's never a bad thing to keep up with the times and modernize certain classical fairy tales, it's become annoying how much people act like Cinderella was always just some poor helpless damsel in distress just because she wasn't the "tough" girl that many modern female characters are portrayed in today's media. I'm sorry, but this poor girl has had SO MANY think pieces on how much of an "anti-feminist" character she is just because she didn't save herself and only wanted to marry a prince by meeting him at the ball. Cinderella was a literal abuse victim who made the best out of her circumstances that she never asked to be in! She was thoughtful, kind, resourceful, and even a bit sassy in previous movie adaptations. She didn't need to be a fighter or a warrior in order to be a great character. She also wanted to get out of the house in order to have a little fun for once and the prince was the last thing on her mind (and even if he was what she wanted that's valid, too!). Kindness doesn't make a female character "weak" or "boring" and I'm glad more people are becoming aware of how we pit the female characters from the past against the female characters of the present. Instead we should celebrate and appreciate all different representations of female characters, no matter whether they are a gentle princess or a bad ass warrior. There are different articles and RUclips analysis videos that talk about this subject better than I can so feel free to ignore this comment, lol. 😅 Just thought I'd add another viewpoint that isn't rooted in misogyny and accusations of "wokeness".

Speaking of French Westerns, may I recommend a franchise with a legacy. A cartoon character who's actually the fastest draw in the west, that he's able to shoot quarters and make change by shooting a dollar. I'd like to recommend a 2005 made movie called 'Go West: A Lucky Luke Adventure'. Note: It's a better Western cartoon than Disney's 'Home on the Range' could ever be.
A personal observation I've had over the years is that webcomics don't get nearly enough attention on youtube unless it's animation those pictures of yours aren't gonja go far but I found a webcomic that alot of people can resonate with Oren's Forge it's mostly like Zootopia or Beastars in most ways with it's anthro characters but it give what both of them have never thought about; the origins how predator and prey tried to make peace and for all it's writing, worldbuilding and themes it barely has a presences on other platforms so saber, anyone if you're reading this give it a proper look at it I think you might have somethings to say about it...Too preachy?
I was waiting for you to mention that real puss in boots movie in a video. I remember when puss in boots came out, I asked my dad to go to the local video rental shop and get the new puss in boots if they had it. He came home with that one. I remember it was so bad, and we only finished watching it because my dad had spent money to rent it. I was 11 at the time and I couldn't bring myself to enjoy it at all, could not keep my attention. Honestly would be interested to see you make a video on it, id love to relive that terrible memory lol
I don’t think my opinion carries much weight, but I honestly prefer you explaining the plot, no matter how boring it is, over watching you and a friend react to it in real time. It’s a lot more effort for me to understand what’s going on and the constant interruptions between you and your friend watching it live makes that task even more difficult. One of the things I enjoyed about your videos was that I could listen to it while doing other things and still enjoy it. It’s been impossible to do that because of the livestreams, and it takes away from the overall quality and entertainment value of your videos in my humble opinion. Anyway, that’s my opinion, and I’m sure some people disagree, but I figured I’d offer my perspective regardless.

Why, why did they give the hound guy human teeth?? Canine teeth would've been looking alright, but they for some reason decided to not only give him human teeth, but also rather ugly rendered ones. It looks fine on the gazelle, 'cause she's a herbivore, but in case of the dog it makes his already quite dull design so much worse (and outdated graphics don't help either).
Tbh with Cinderella being capable of taking care of herself and being able to stand up to others, but not her family there this movie COULD'VE made a good message about how ANYONE can be a victim of abuse and how complex it all can be.(again with how someone can be confident with others but their courage leaves them when they have to speak up to the abuser. because they know the reaction it'll get). But I'm thinking about it more than the writers did. I'm sure THEIR intention was to avoid falling for the 'damsel in distress' thrope so they just made Cinderella STRONG INDEPENDENT WOMANTM

I don't even remember how it happened directly anymore, and yet I ended up watching this like a week before this video got released. So I came back later to comment as I wasn't quite ready for a dissection right after watching. My main complaints probably come from the budget, as if there was any backstory on the prince dog having a bird as his mom (other than "adopted") that would've been a nice start. Also she may look pretty in the dress and be a cool one, but "Cinderella" didn't even need to be cinderella. The actual idea is pretty good overall with the wild west setting, the town and even the random but fun pirate ship robbers and how there leader basically gets along with the queen was HILARIOUS, and it didn't feel out of place to me. However when some parts of it look just fine, the no tails and the one guy who apparently just leaves after watching over made me go "ok but uhm" when it was over lol.

I really need to get this out, and I know it’s going to come off as sad or even just depressing, especially for the content of the video. I suffer from clinical depression, and I’ve been watching saber for 5 years now. I really want to say that his channel is ultimately what keeps me going, and it’s the only thing that can put a genuine smile on my face with the consistent videos that are well thought out and brilliant. Not only that he’s stayed genuine to his audience throughout these years, which isn’t usually the case for most RUclipsrs. And the bottom line is that he’s stayed an inspiration to me, and I‘m even thinking to start a channel of my own because of him.
Yes!! Something like a channel is a great idea! Creativity is something that always makes me feel better, and friendship even more so. I hope you feel better soon. There are better times ahead, and good job for already taking steps in the right direction.

Hmm I think this was like one of my first furry experiences as a kid! 😂😂 I rented from a video store (R.I.P) and watched it like if the vibrant colors and furry designs! (Yeah it IS boring, specially the middle I always feel asleep to) but at times the randomness and villains can make me chuckle (I really do like the bird mom who just laughed and enjoyed all the chaos!) 😂😂

Time really has helped me grow even more fond of Rango and I didn't think that was possible. Every time I see a pretender like this I realize just how special and unique it truly was. It can be imitated but never replicated.
I remember seeing this dvd being advertised in a junk magazine as a 10 year old and I was so confused how a dog and a deer/gazelle could have kids. Like I didn’t understand what was going on because they advertised it wrong.

I honestly can't understand why child me asked my dad to buy me this movie in Walmart so badly😂 like seriously, I think it might've just been the pretty looking animal lady on the cover. And the worst part is that i enjoyed it! I liked the movie when i was a kid and I even remember not liking the second half of it as much as the first part and i remember liking the joke abtthe main villain being scared of Little Cloud cuz he kept thinking of him as "Big Storm" which is stupid, but i enjoyed it.

It was the last day before summer break in elementary school and the gimmick was each classroom would be like a movie theater and we could move freely between each classroom to watch different movies
This was on in one of the 4th grade teachers rooms and i thought it was going to be the disney one cause the "movie list" on the door just said "Cinderella"
It felt like some kind of fever dream and for years I was 90% sure I just made it up in my head or misremembered the movie
One thing that would absolutely improve the character designs would be giving them tails. There's just something so uncanny about semi realistic furry designs with no tails it's just a human with an animal head. It is such a pet peeve of mine when anthro characters don't have tails
I remember asking for the Puss In Boots Movie when I was a kid, but my parents chose The Real Story of Puss In Boots as the movie I mentioned. I popped that thing in my DVD player and was scared for life when that abomination came prancing onto the screen. 😰
Speaking of Rango: there’s a pretty underrated 2 second scene where a cigar smoking toad hangs onto the side of a horse carriage, and shoots and cycle-reload a lever action rifle with ONE HAND!
Holy ****, how did they make a side character with less than a minute screen time this badass !? I would rather watch that on loop for 1 hour for $5 than this Wild West Cinderella for free!

I vaguely remembered watching this film when I was a kid I think I was about 4 or something, I’m 16 years old now remembering this now feels like a weird creepypasta “finding a creepy kids movie that you forgot from your childhood that you had no idea existed.” Kind of like the story Candle Cove or something…
It's not Cinderella or anthro, but there's a graphic novel called Rapunzel's Revenge that puts the fairytale in a fantasy-western setting, and it's great. Rapunzel puts her hair into twin braids and uses them as lassos.

That Dark Souls "YOU DIED" joke reminded me of a joke I made to my friend when she and I were watching Transformers: Rise of the Beasts. During one battle Optimus Prime was swarmed with these almost human-size drones which made up the bulk of the "copy-pasted cannon fodder army" for this movie. The shot cut away, but when it cut back, I leaned in and said "Disassemble Freddy".
She had a good laugh at that one.
I remember Bobsheaux's main complaint being it making Cinderella a "strong woman."
As if that was this thing's main issue.
It's never a bad thing to have strong female characters in media. It's always a plus! BUT, I would like to add some nuance to this topic and hopefully you don't chew me out too much, lol. I've always found it funny how each Cinderella adaptation that comes out continues to turn her into more of a "tough" girl in order to make her more of a strong female role model for girls because they see her previous portrayals as "weak", "boring", "too nice", and a "doormat". While it's never a bad thing to keep up with the times and modernize certain classical fairy tales, it's become annoying how much people act like Cinderella was always just some poor helpless damsel in distress just because she wasn't the "tough" girl that many modern female characters are portrayed in today's media. I'm sorry, but this poor girl has had SO MANY think pieces on how much of an "anti-feminist" character she is just because she didn't save herself and only wanted to marry a prince by meeting him at the ball. Cinderella was a literal abuse victim who made the best out of her circumstances that she never asked to be in! She was thoughtful, kind, resourceful, and even a bit sassy in previous movie adaptations. She didn't need to be a fighter or a warrior in order to be a great character. She also wanted to get out of the house in order to have a little fun for once and the prince was the last thing on her mind (and even if he was what she wanted that's valid, too!). Kindness doesn't make a female character "weak" or "boring" and I'm glad more people are becoming aware of how we pit the female characters from the past against the female characters of the present. Instead we should celebrate and appreciate all different representations of female characters, no matter whether they are a gentle princess or a bad ass warrior. There are different articles and RUclips analysis videos that talk about this subject better than I can so feel free to ignore this comment, lol. 😅 Just thought I'd add another viewpoint that isn't rooted in misogyny and accusations of "wokeness".

I loved this knockoff as a kid, especially when she got her pretty peacock/cowgirl outfit. My kid brain was always confused how a bird made a dog son tho.
Speaking of French Westerns, may I recommend a franchise with a legacy. A cartoon character who's actually the fastest draw in the west, that he's able to shoot quarters and make change by shooting a dollar. I'd like to recommend a 2005 made movie called 'Go West: A Lucky Luke Adventure'.
Note: It's a better Western cartoon than Disney's 'Home on the Range' could ever be.
A personal observation I've had over the years is that webcomics don't get nearly enough attention on youtube unless it's animation those pictures of yours aren't gonja go far but I found a webcomic that alot of people can resonate with Oren's Forge it's mostly like Zootopia or Beastars in most ways with it's anthro characters but it give what both of them have never thought about; the origins how predator and prey tried to make peace and for all it's writing, worldbuilding and themes it barely has a presences on other platforms so saber, anyone if you're reading this give it a proper look at it I think you might have somethings to say about it...Too preachy?

I remember when puss in boots came out, I asked my dad to go to the local video rental shop and get the new puss in boots if they had it. He came home with that one. I remember it was so bad, and we only finished watching it because my dad had spent money to rent it. I was 11 at the time and I couldn't bring myself to enjoy it at all, could not keep my attention. Honestly would be interested to see you make a video on it, id love to relive that terrible memory lol

I don’t think my opinion carries much weight, but I honestly prefer you explaining the plot, no matter how boring it is, over watching you and a friend react to it in real time. It’s a lot more effort for me to understand what’s going on and the constant interruptions between you and your friend watching it live makes that task even more difficult. One of the things I enjoyed about your videos was that I could listen to it while doing other things and still enjoy it. It’s been impossible to do that because of the livestreams, and it takes away from the overall quality and entertainment value of your videos in my humble opinion. Anyway, that’s my opinion, and I’m sure some people disagree, but I figured I’d offer my perspective regardless.

Why, why did they give the hound guy human teeth?? Canine teeth would've been looking alright, but they for some reason decided to not only give him human teeth, but also rather ugly rendered ones.
It looks fine on the gazelle, 'cause she's a herbivore, but in case of the dog it makes his already quite dull design so much worse (and outdated graphics don't help either).
Tbh with Cinderella being capable of taking care of herself and being able to stand up to others, but not her family there this movie COULD'VE made a good message about how ANYONE can be a victim of abuse and how complex it all can be.(again with how someone can be confident with others but their courage leaves them when they have to speak up to the abuser. because they know the reaction it'll get). But I'm thinking about it more than the writers did. I'm sure THEIR intention was to avoid falling for the 'damsel in distress' thrope so they just made Cinderella STRONG INDEPENDENT WOMANTM

I remember watching this movie, & let me tell you it is the weirdest thing I've ever seen. Also that monkey pirate captain gives me Captain Gutt vibes from Ice Age 4
I don't even remember how it happened directly anymore, and yet I ended up watching this like a week before this video got released. So I came back later to comment as I wasn't quite ready for a dissection right after watching. My main complaints probably come from the budget, as if there was any backstory on the prince dog having a bird as his mom (other than "adopted") that would've been a nice start. Also she may look pretty in the dress and be a cool one, but "Cinderella" didn't even need to be cinderella. The actual idea is pretty good overall with the wild west setting, the town and even the random but fun pirate ship robbers and how there leader basically gets along with the queen was HILARIOUS, and it didn't feel out of place to me. However when some parts of it look just fine, the no tails and the one guy who apparently just leaves after watching over made me go "ok but uhm" when it was over lol.
As a furry, i am disappointed that this is associated with us
