- This is the second part of the Bulls vs. Knicks 1992 Playoffs Game 3. Make sure to watch the first half before you see this.
• Bulls vs. Knicks 1992 ...
Look at the physical nature of the game. Every possession, every rebound is nothing less than a war. You'll also see Jordan's famous layup and outburst when he was brutally abused by Ewing and Xavier.
There was so much hustle and bruising in this game that it's just mindboggling.
Enjoy!
Thanks. Yes, I wanted to focus on the physical side of the game for the reason you pointed out. This is one of the million reasons why Jordan will be remembered the best. Among others, he went through the Pistons and the Knicks. And the Knicks were playing some good basketball. Even Jordan said that during those series. It wasn't only the physical play on their part.
In these days , it wasnt who made the most money , or who wanted a (all star team) it was about who was willing to Fight to the death to win. Thats what this era in bball was all about! Fight till death ! (had to do a Slayer reference haha) 90's Bball was the best !
Straight out hustling, straight out trash talking, straight out physicality! Oh how I miss those days of the NBA.
Hi, the opening song is "Iron Maiden - Wasted Years". Glad you liked the video.
that is a classic Jordan moment that gets overlooked.. him getting hit in the face, still making the basket and cursing out Patrick Ewing while he's on the ground.. good shit
Ive been looking for this video for 10 years
People today have no idea what these were like. Younger Jordan faced Piston and Knick teams who were trying to kill him.
MAN I wish I were born a few years earlier. NBA back then was brutal.
hey dude, that's real basketball. Talent, skill and war, today's nba looks to be played so the rappers can play too soon. Michael jordan is THE MAN and is a pleasure to see him again at his best, keep it up.
I cannot believe how physical this series was...the game really has changed a lot.
This is really a find, starks. It's amazing how much basketball has changed, but I guess the change is gradual so it's hard to notice if you don't pay attention.
Thanks for sharing.
I was so caught up by the intensity of the game that i didnt realise the approach..Part 1 and 2 of this game is focused mainly on the physical nature of the game since u hardly showed any basket. That's great dont get me wrong. Young fans should watch games like this to realise what we're talkin about when we say Defense is Dead.
I still don't care about the music, but that's some great basketball being played there. I love that the court used to be a warzone
If the refs didn't favor Kobe he would get thrown out of a game like that. When people play physical at him, he hits them with elbows and stuff like that instead of playing just playing hard at them back. Like for instance the elbow he gave Ron Artest in the playoffs this year
Nice video - Those we're the good 'ole days...
@2:19 - that is SO not a charge on Johnny Pax.. Jackson was still shuffling his feet after Pax took off for the lay up.
how great is it when Jordan gets gangsta on Ewing! WHAT A GREAT MOMENT! MJ= CENTER, POWER FORWARD, SMALL FORWARD, SHOOTING GUARD, POINT GUARD.
This was in the day when basketball was still a sport and not entertainment. Now the league is set up to be watched as mere entertainment and has lost the heart that it once had. Dang I hated the Knicks but they sure did play with heart and it was a war to beat them.
man what a series: goes to show you how soft most of the current NBA players are. The Knicks shoud've never let go of the X-man after this. He phisically destroyed Scottie Pippen.
The passion is just amazing.Seeing professionals hustle like that. The majority of todays star players are overpaid bums.Thats all I have to say about that.
Bulls were completely screwed over by the refs for most of the game and still pulled it out. MJ - absolute beast at 6:37
the knicks and the bulls are probably each and everybody's enemies here in the playoffs.
Great videos champ... Keep them coming
@xavi1079 YES! Rivalries. Exactly what the modern NBA lacks.
2:18
NO WAY ON EARTH that THAT was charging!!!!!!!!!!!
He was already in the air AND that Knick player was MOVING!!!!!!!
tough call on jpax
good music choice on this half
awesome video!! i watchted the both parts. It really is great to see all these rare footages. Will be great if you can post up more of these, esp. the ones involving michael jordan and the bulls.
p.s. just wondering, what's the name of the background song that comes out from the beginning?
wow i almost forgot ho tough it was. is it during that famous series XmcDaniels said 'it's a man's game'. it gotta be! i miss this nba
yes it would be good, but the music somehow fits this clip really well
There's no way that call on Paxon was a charge. a) the defender was below the basket, b) he was still moving to his right. That's a block any day.
now that was a ball game!!! the 2008 version of the knicks is a shame!!!!
I've watched this several times and while it's one of my favorite games really ever with the nature of the game and the toughness both teams showed...the refereeing is HORRIBLE throughout the game, really.
Bulls and Phantom of the Opera....SWEET!
cant believe it soo many guys n the floor 2 of 3 plays like 2 guys n the floor .
i was like ouch , ouch . ouch
pour refs how can u call a foul or a flagrant this was a war GREAT YEARS
The Knicks in this video look almost as physical as the bad boys pistons. Take Laimbeer off those pistons teams and the Knicks are way more physical.
The REAL NBA!!
Great vid Starks,we need more like this.I totaly agree with DMASTER's view of the league these days.Does anybody know exactly what M.J. yelled at Ewing and Xavier?
I remember Xavier McDaniel intimidating Scottie Pippen pretty good in this series.
Haha, the Knicks with all of their thugs and physical play could never beat the Bulls. And don't tell me they beat them in 94, cause Michael was retired and even then Scottie led them to a 7 game series where even game 7 in New York went down to the final minutes. On top of that Scotties dunk in Ewing's mug and putting his finger in Spike Lee's face was a great consolation.
@rrTale duh, anyone could see it's pure blood between these 2 teams, the video reflects that entirely
As I mentioned in the definition of the 1st part, the video was dubbed in French and was even more annoying than the music. If it had Marv's commentary I would not mess with it.
Kobe couldn't play through that. Jordan got beat up and still dominated.
Shaq won a ring without Kobe - with the Heat last year so Shaq can still win rings without Kobe, but he needs a strong/talented supporting player alongside him, who in this case, happens to be Dwyane Wade...
Whoa, that charge call on Paxson was a bit wrong
good video... does anyone remember why the X-Man was only with the Knicks for this one season? was he traded?
Yeah, he told Spike "sit yo ass down"!!
this makes the nba of today look like a pillow fight. maybe the unrelenting guitar solo had something to do with it
the And 1 at 6:35 is the best ever by jordan IMO.
it was, you right
the refs let them play back then now a days they are whistle happy look at how rough this game was it would never bee called like this today
anyone know where the whole game can be downloaded from? need it for the classic collection
roger in 1994 the Bulls lost in the playoffs against the knicks without jordan.
No, you mean the strength he had. Jordan was by no means a punk or weakling and if the game got physcial he could turn it up inthat aspect as well.
scottie became my hero.
i wish it had the real commenatating with no music
No good clean cut shit back then, everybody played from their FUCKIN HEART!
what's the name of that guitar song in the beginning?
LOL. MJ is just like "sit down, bitch"
Man, Amare and the Suns could never have handled that kind of series; what a bunch of sissies....
what is the name of the 2nd song ???
They dont play like this no more... Its all about beinga carebear now a days
@mambaKB24mvp Wow, that is a really bias statement from a Kobe fanboy. The defense being more physical would definitely make it harder for Kobe to score. No way would he average 40 ppg. MJ would average more in today's game and Kobe would average less in the 90s. Don't get me wrong, I'm not bashing on Kobe, because even if he played back then, I think he'd still put up around 20ish ppg.
whats the song at 8:00
thanks... wow
Indeed, 1 of the worst block/charge fouls I've ever seen. But it was in NY
Whoa there now that I look at the second part of this video there where so pretty bad calls by the refs. Like that John Paxson called charge was bullshit. John Starks feet was still moving.
alot of those charging calls are very questionable.. john paxson on mark jackson wasnt even nearly a charge...neither was that pippen on ewing charge
JORDAN WAS RAW
What did MJ cry over Xavier McDaniels min 6:46 anyone know?
He was talking shit to Patrick Ewing. Basically "yeeeeeeaah in your face"
And pushing him. Dangerous really. That's just ugly. Why do that, you have no chance of stopping him when his in the air and your not, and he has no way of adjusting to a push. Paxson was lucky he landed belly down on Marc Jackson. With those kind of fouls you can easily land on your back and seriously twitch something.
i didnt recognize it wtf is going on with me
What the fuck man. the Music is Iron Maiden The best heavy metal band of all time. you are talking with an official maiden fan and if i have to defend iron maiden i will do it
seventh son of a seventh son
Can you re-post this video without the annoying music, I want to hear Marvs commentary...thanks.
huh??? wtf are you trying to say?
Who the fuck picked those refs to lead that game???
man, go to school
Do wat chu gotta do, I still think its terrible
Watever man I don't care. U hate rap I don't like Iron Maiden
Wats up wit this terrible music??
Horrible, zero, refereering.
