  • This is the second part of the Bulls vs. Knicks 1992 Playoffs Game 3. Make sure to watch the first half before you see this.
    • Bulls vs. Knicks 1992 ...
Look at the physical nature of the game. Every possession, every rebound is nothing less than a war. You'll also see Jordan's famous layup and outburst when he was brutally abused by Ewing and Xavier.
There was so much hustle and bruising in this game that it's just mindboggling.
    Enjoy!

Thanks. Yes, I wanted to focus on the physical side of the game for the reason you pointed out. This is one of the million reasons why Jordan will be remembered the best. Among others, he went through the Pistons and the Knicks. And the Knicks were playing some good basketball. Even Jordan said that during those series. It wasn't only the physical play on their part.

In these days , it wasnt who made the most money , or who wanted a (all star team) it was about who was willing to Fight to the death to win. Thats what this era in bball was all about! Fight till death ! (had to do a Slayer reference haha) 90's Bball was the best !

Straight out hustling, straight out trash talking, straight out physicality! Oh how I miss those days of the NBA.

that is a classic Jordan moment that gets overlooked.. him getting hit in the face, still making the basket and cursing out Patrick Ewing while he's on the ground.. good shit

People today have no idea what these were like. Younger Jordan faced Piston and Knick teams who were trying to kill him.

hey dude, that's real basketball. Talent, skill and war, today's nba looks to be played so the rappers can play too soon. Michael jordan is THE MAN and is a pleasure to see him again at his best, keep it up.

I cannot believe how physical this series was...the game really has changed a lot.

  • @LatinD

This is really a find, starks. It's amazing how much basketball has changed, but I guess the change is gradual so it's hard to notice if you don't pay attention.
    Thanks for sharing.

I was so caught up by the intensity of the game that i didnt realise the approach..Part 1 and 2 of this game is focused mainly on the physical nature of the game since u hardly showed any basket. That's great dont get me wrong. Young fans should watch games like this to realise what we're talkin about when we say Defense is Dead.

I still don't care about the music, but that's some great basketball being played there. I love that the court used to be a warzone

If the refs didn't favor Kobe he would get thrown out of a game like that. When people play physical at him, he hits them with elbows and stuff like that instead of playing just playing hard at them back. Like for instance the elbow he gave Ron Artest in the playoffs this year

This was in the day when basketball was still a sport and not entertainment. Now the league is set up to be watched as mere entertainment and has lost the heart that it once had. Dang I hated the Knicks but they sure did play with heart and it was a war to beat them.

man what a series: goes to show you how soft most of the current NBA players are. The Knicks shoud've never let go of the X-man after this. He phisically destroyed Scottie Pippen.

There's no way that call on Paxon was a charge. a) the defender was below the basket, b) he was still moving to his right. That's a block any day.

  • @huevon14200006
    @huevon14200006 15 лет назад

Haha, the Knicks with all of their thugs and physical play could never beat the Bulls. And don't tell me they beat them in 94, cause Michael was retired and even then Scottie led them to a 7 game series where even game 7 in New York went down to the final minutes. On top of that Scotties dunk in Ewing's mug and putting his finger in Spike Lee's face was a great consolation.

@mambaKB24mvp Wow, that is a really bias statement from a Kobe fanboy. The defense being more physical would definitely make it harder for Kobe to score. No way would he average 40 ppg. MJ would average more in today's game and Kobe would average less in the 90s. Don't get me wrong, I'm not bashing on Kobe, because even if he played back then, I think he'd still put up around 20ish ppg.

  • @fredagsedb

And pushing him. Dangerous really. That's just ugly. Why do that, you have no chance of stopping him when his in the air and your not, and he has no way of adjusting to a push. Paxson was lucky he landed belly down on Marc Jackson. With those kind of fouls you can easily land on your back and seriously twitch something.
