I think you're right. The 70's 80's 90's enthusiasts are mostly older with health issues, dying off etc.The amount of deceased estates speaks for itself. These were great era's of bikes, so if you're older and still healthy some great bargains to be had.
Very true! However, I've seen one for sale for £4950, with 26k miles on the clock!! (Whether they get the full asking price is another story) I think this one had 18,337 miles.
Fair to say that the arse has well and truly dropped out of the classic bike market. May as well keep my mint VTR SP now as I'll probably never get what I paid for it.
Surprised how little the track 2T 250’s went for.. And a ‘98 Blade for…£1500, and that ZXR H1 for just £1700😮 Values have definitely dropped.. Bargains to be had for sure.. who knows where the market will be again, 5 years from now 💁🏻♂️ You definitely have to play the long game if money is your objective. Me, I just love 90s bikes..so the fact certain bikes are cheaper at the moment is a big plus. Buy em cheap, & pack that garage out! 😁👌🏼
I found it mental that an Aprilia SR 125 scooter went for a similar price as that '98 blade!! Good advice on packing out the garage!! (Maybe it's bad marital advice, mind!) Regarding the 250gp's - I (Ant) was having an argument with Dom about these. I think they were a steal and should have bought one😂 . It's bloody rare to find one under £10k these days! Dom said possibly not, because there's no telling how many miles is on the crank, or whether it even turns over - which I guess is a valid point!
Great touch with the editing on this one, with the auction results being spoken about at the same time as the video walkaround
Thanks dude, glad you liked it!
Some absolute bargains there, maybe the bubble has burst?...
A good time to buy one through auction maybe?

The R7 seemed a good buy.
Steals on the cbr 900s
Frickin heck. If I knew the RC45 was going at that price I would have bought it 😳
Yeah, seem's like good time to buy. The next auction is in April, so maybe worth keeping an eye out!!
Thanks for this. Excellent bids. That Derbi would be cool hanging upside down on my living room ceiling.
@@bransky upside down? 🙃😂
The Baby Blade was a bargain for 2,400 quid.
not really, theyre old bikes that mostly require a lot of work and parts can be a pain in the arse to get now - the bubble has burst.

zx7rr was a snap
a 98 ZX-7r went for £950 last year!! It seems you can pick yourself up a Kawasaki bargian at these auctions!
Thanks for the update. How much is on top of the Hammer price for Auction house? What is the out of the door price compared to the hammer price?
@@porschespinner I think it can vary but approx 10% 👍
The BIG money is still there, but the middle prices seem to be struggling ?
This is probably true. Big money is recession proof to a point
I just bought an 8K mile '03 R1 that was on original tyres, and it felt like I bought a classic
@@KentRoads certainly a good buy! I’m sure 20 year old bikes are a better buy than than the far more expensive newer bikes
Wake me up when RG500s are doing £10k
It's 1985, wake up
Could have watched hours of this
The Honda RS250s went for shirtbuttons
Thank you, mate! Yeah, I really wish I had money/garage space to buy one! I saw another 1990 250gp Joey rep up for sale for £13k!
The tz250 reverse cylinder was a good price ,
Yeah, I thought the 250gp bikes were a steal!!

It might be the time to add to the collection, though!😂 I see the bike specialists have an sp2 on for £15,999 - (6.6k miles).
@@raceandretro I actually bought my Castrol SP from the Bike Specialists two years ago for 15.5k.
I've decided to keep it.👌🏼😎
The 2-stokes is pricey and wow that vfr's
That 400rr was a bargain at that price
It need some work but you could ride it for two years and still probably sell it at the same money
You'd have got better price on eBay for a lot of them I'm sure. Is an auction the way to go??
@@mick998r possibly not for a seller?
It's a good time to be a buyer that's for sure

Looks like prices are back to where they were 10-15 years ago.
That RVF went for crazy money 😮 insane
That desmo was cheap
It was until u go out the gate at 40pcent ontop
I would have waited for a better follow-up video rather than this 'no show'.
We'll be back stronger next time! 💪
