Just saw an intruiging take ("Ingenuism" podcast) on how AI could be a wonderful tool to bring students the applied/experiential/conceptual/practical learning methodology so lacking in academia, and what a rich opportunity that might be for venture capital/investors. Would be so fascinating! Wondered if 8VC had any such irons in the fire?
Yes, the AI will be smarter, but what is being overlooked is that it has no humanity. The AI will have objectives and will utilize any means to accomplish these objectives, including means we never would have considered as human beings. Look up the recent news article on the AI controlled Airforce drone exercise that destroyed the operator in the control tower because they told it not to destroy a desired target. By destroying the control tower, the restriction from destroying the desired target was then removed. How will AI solve hunger or environmental issues, by removing humans? It seems that those that are personally invested in AI are quick to dismiss the very real dangers.
