    Surprised, yet not, that the video neglected to mention the civilians who won’t hesitate to fight back. A quote that perfectly describes this defense tactic, “You cannot invade mainland of the United States. There would be a rifle behind every blade of grass.”

    • @Cody38Super
      @Cody38Super 8 месяцев назад +11

      That quote was to the Emperor by a man named Isoroko Yamamoto, he was an exchange student here, he made friends here, he liked Americans, but his Emperor tasked him with planning the attack on Pearl Harbor. When it was a success, he again asked Isoroko to draw plans to invade the mainland. He replied "I will do as the Devine one wishes, but if he seeks my council if we should invade.....then I say no, you will lose every man that steps foot on American soil. They live by the gun, they got their country by the gun. Every farmer is not like ours, they hunt to feed their families...you will find a gun behind every blade of grass and a man who knows how to use it!"

    Let's also not forget the last line of defense, the civilians. The US has the most armed population in the world, both guns per person (Around 1.2 guns per person) and total number of guns (Close to 400 million).
    And while guns alone can't stop an army, we have seen how effective Asymmetric warfare can be in Vietnam and Afghanistan.

    10.05 "Out of range of American bombers (in South America)." ... Wrong. The US has the largest air refueling tanker fleet in the world. There is NO place out of reach of American bombers. The US Constitution sets forth rights given by God, not to be taken from us by men. While some states have infringed on them, most American states retain the right to bear arms and defend themselves, and most Americans look out for each other as well as themselves. This should also be taken into consideration before deciding to attack the US.

    One thing this video did not talk about is all the weapons in private hands. There are more Americans with guns than people and guns in the US Military. They hunt with said rifles and most are very good shots. A bunch of said people are US Veterans who was trained by the US Military and others grew up shooting weapons of all types from a young age. You could call a lot of them snipers. Just think about that. More snipers than their are people in the US Military. Yes we do have a lot of people who have guns and don't know what they are doing. But we have even more that do.

    • @nwj03a
      @nwj03a 8 месяцев назад +1

      There are not more civilians with guns than people/guns in the military. There are 130 million US households, about 60 million report having one weapon, about 70% of those have a handgun only.
      Only one person can use a handgun and they can’t be a sniper with it. Only 1-2% of the USA has ever been in the military (post Vietnam), not all of them deployed, even fewer were in combat roles, even fewer were anything close to a sniper.
      You’re talking about maybe 500k people, probably less than 200k. These people are spread over the entire country.
      I’m what you’re describing, I don’t have a weapon anymore, and I have no desire to ever shoot at anyone ever again. I know zero people, that I didn’t serve with, that are even close to a sniper, or that I’d even trust to unload a weapon in my house.
      You’re living in red dawn, other tv/movies, and video games.

    • @Nickadeamus11
      @Nickadeamus11 8 месяцев назад +4

      I don't know what you are talking about. I can tell you just in my small town, county and state. We have a lot of guns. Just look at the hunting license sold just in my state (year 2022 sold 844,826 hunting license in my state only. That is also more than 1/2 of the number of active duty military personnel of the USA). Almost every one of the people who bought one have more than 1 rifle and most of them have handguns. Plus others in that hunters house hold have their own rifles and guns and may not hunt. this is just hunters in 1 state out of 50 states.
      So I think you might want to do more research. There is millions of rifles and handguns in the USA. Millions of hunters and millions of Vets in the USA. I am one of them. I was Infantry with both 2 ID and 101st. I was trained to shoot a rifle and sniper training. I also seen combat in the middle east. So don't try to tell me none or very little seen combat. That alone would be a lie.
      I can show you many Hunters just from my area who can shoot as good as 80 percent of are US Army snipers.
      So you do not know what you are talking about.
      We could also talk about the archers who have better camouflage clothing than are military and kill with a bow. But a lot are going to crossbows that shoot like a rifle. Before you say crossbow don't shot like a rifle. I will say go out and try one. They do.
      The US Military had 1,388,000 active duty personnel in 2019. The USA had 333,287,557 people in 2022. 2 percent of that is 6,665,751 people, so your numbers don't even add up @@nwj03a

    The American military fully embraced the old saying "amateurs study tactics while professionals study logistics." It does not matter how strong your military is if you cannot get it to the fight nor keep it supplied. America easily supplied forces in Afghanistan for twenty years while Russia could not even supply its forces that were invading a country sharing a border with it. America has also demonstrated that there is no where on Earth that its bombers cannot reach. It was bombing Afghanistan with bombers flying out of Missouri and Louisiana.

    • @MelanieAF
      @MelanieAF 8 месяцев назад

      Amen. Logistics are extremely important in modern warfare, and no one comes close to the US in logistical effectiveness. That just makes sense, as no one comes close in power projection, which requires utmost logistical efficiency.
      People think it’s all about things that go boom. At the point of engagement, yes. But in modern scenarios, you have to have a long line supporting that point. No one can project to that point, and support such projection, like the US. We can do it globally, while other nations can mostly do it in their own regions in any appreciable numbers.

      Whether used in hunting or dispatching pests that would relieve them of their mortal coil, they know how to use them.

    During WWII, General Yamamoto said Japan could not invade the U.S. because, “There would be a rifle behind every blade of grass.”
    To land in South America and push north would be impossible because of the Darien Gap. There is simply no road, even a primitive one, between Columbia and Panama. The area is considered lawless with rapes and robberies common among hikers who try to traverse the gap. Moving heavy equipment through this area is impossible due to mountains and the wet climate.

It was the last attack on the mainland united states and the only of world war one. The naval station 7 miles away in chatham was called from orleans coastguard to help and eventually they did but, their response was delayed because it was summer and most of the pilots for their new "flying boats" were allegedly off playing baseball in Provincetown against a minesweeping crew which is probably the most american thing to ever happen.

In front fast attack subs (subsurface defense then surface attacks), next several DDGs and CGs for anti-air defense and anti-ship missiles, in the back 3 carriers and 2 amphibious ships (mobile platforms for air force and marine verticle lauch f-35's). At the same time the air force will split their long range bombers into three groups (bombing, in-route, reloading/refueling) for a closed loop constaint bombardment at high altitudes. And this doesn't even talk about what the army and air force can set up along the coastline.

    here is a basic fact that the video did not mention : in the middle of america you have what we call red necks, or hillbillies. This a group of people that start to hunt at 5 years old learn how to track at 6 and Know the land better then their moms face. They have lots of rifles ,shotguns, and hell guns in general and Know how they fire what is the best ammo for each and every kill, and are skilled in hand to hand fighting JUST FROM GROWING UP THERE .Lot's of luck even getting 15% of your invasion troops back after they have had their fun picking them off with head shots.

    This was accomplished by using commercial jets to drop Russian Paratroopers.
    Russia drop a few dozen nukes to disrupt commerications.
    Then the main allied Soviet, Cuban and Nicaraguan forces move up through Mexico.

    this video is cool but I was hoping it would go into the problems they would have if they actually did invade the US...
    in the US there are 16 million military veterans, probably 20+ million more able bodied American's willing to fight... 433 million guns to distribute to those willing to use them...
    6 billion rounds of ammunition is sold on the civilian market EVERY YEAR... 10 billion if you include law enforcement... we don't use that much ammo, so its safe to assume we have hundreds of billions if not trillions of bullets stockpiled by now...
    every street would have a house shooting at them... every patch of woods would have people hiding in the trees... every road would have an ambush waiting...
    we have loads bunkers made for surviving nuclear attacks leftover from the coldwar/cuban missile crisis... good for surviving artillery and air bombing raids...
    not to mention all the creative American inventers who will come up with all sorts of new ways to kill an invading force...
    honestly if the military just decided to leave U.S. to defend itself and counter-attack Russia... I think the civilians would have the defense of the US covered...

    I am aware of no instances, in which US military or civilian leaders used fears of a prospective homeland invasion by a foreign power to push anything, budgetary or otherwise. First, they would have been laughed out of the room then, as they would now. Second, the only impact such statements would make, is to quickly call into doubt, the competency of that particular general/admiral/politician, and virtually end their career(s). That channel's videos can be somewhat helpful, but they get A LOT of details wrong, and inject rather childish suppositions regularly..

    Invading the US sure , Invading a country on the other side of the planet from anyone dumb enough to try, Has the most powerful military on earth , has natural defensive features , has a 74 million man armed militia.
    Which as a note according to the Militia Act per Title 10 of the U.S. Code, Section 311. The Militia is defined as every able-bodied men between ages 17 and 45 who is not a member of the US military active or reserve duty or the National Guard forces . The US Unorgainized militia or reserve militia is the most heavily armed militia on the planet. Yes it is 100% legal to own a tank in the US , It's also legal to own a heavy machine gun and explosive weapons provide you file the right paperwork and pay the taxes on said weapons /vehicles.

      Unless our military is ordered to "stand down".
      When was the last time our military was actually used to protect our own people????

    • @John2r1
      @John2r1 8 месяцев назад

      @@OkiePeg411 the problem with that is the soldiers and officers would decide that the politicians are not fit to lead and that would go bad for the politicians.
      As to when the last time soldiers defended civilians. Well considering that military reservists and National Guard do other jobs in the civilian world. Quite often.
      Also while just six percent of the U.S. population has served in the military, veterans make up 10 percent of emergency medical technicians EMTs, 19 percent of firefighters, and 25 percent of police officers.
      So veterans which note anyone who leaves the military before 8 years of service with an honorable discharge can be recalled to duty by the military. And these veterans will in all likelihood be the first ones called in the case of a draft situation.
      So an invasion is one of those points were the military tell the politicians to shut up and get out of our way. Because to be blunt an invasion put our families in the same danger as it does everyone else.
      You tell put a man in a situation where his home is being invaded by armed people intent on taking everything he worked his whole life for and tell him to stand down. See how quick that order gets the one given it shot.
      "I do solemnly swearthat I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same."
      That's the first part and most important part of the Oath of Enlistment.
      Oath of Commissioned Offices goes like this...
      " I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter. So help me God.
      Yeah looks like the Enlisted and the Officers of the military are on the same page about the subject of defending the nation.
      The motto of the US Army is " This Will Defend."
      The Motto of the Marine Corps is Semper Fidelis which is Latin and means Always Faithful.
      US Navy motto is Semper Paratus - Always Ready.
      US Air Force motto is “Aim High … Fly-Fight-Win”.
      The National Guards motto is Always Ready, Always There! The Guard is primarily under state control unless called up by the President himself and are the OG at kicking invaders out of this nation. The Guard was born on December 13th , 1636.
      So it's safe to say the military isn't standing down in an invasion scenario involving a nation's military. Illegal immigrants don't constitute an invasion.

    In this kind of situation, we'll have to wave goodbye to our states of Hawaii and Alaska-at least for a while. Also, there's a 0% chance that Canada, especially, and/or Mexico, would consent to an invading force using its lands/ports. Finally, Americans (and Canadians and Mexicans) are armed. Any invaders coming our way should figure that in, too, because it would most certainly be a gigantic problem for any hostiles. I mean, we barely obey our own government. - particularly if it's of the "other" party. So we're definitely not going to follow an invading gov't!

It is estimated that over 27million in a 3 year period and these people have not been tracked after entry. How many are cover and how many actual foreign agents waiting to act is unknown. New world, new tactics when you can’t equal your foe on the outside battlefield you take it to their own streets.
