  • This is the current generation Toyota Hilux, in 2.8 GD-6 Legend RS spec, meaning you get a roller shutter cover over the rear bin. But is that enough to warrant the price tag? Watch the full review to find out more.

    Great review.
It’s a Hilux at the end of the day, it doesn’t sell because of comfort but because it’s reliable.

15 Toyota Hiluxs and Fortuner reported stolen during the weekend alone. That’s why I’ll opt for an Amarok or D’Max.

That's why I opt for a Jeep Gladiator

The ride offroad is even worse than on paved roads. Once you buy your Hilux or Fortuner, the first you need to do is upgrade the suspension.
I speak out of experience. In addition, the roller shutter is a complete waste, rather get a good canopy.

This is an honest review. This car is overpriced the suspension is too harsh. It's ride will add to your health issues.

For a work horse I think its too expensive. I think this is Toyota trying to match up with the other R1m bakkies out there. If I'm looking for a work horse I don't see why I would buy a R1M Toyota when there's other less expensive options in the Hilux range and if I was looking for a premium/luxury kind of a bakkie I don't see why I would buy this R1M bakkie when the other R1M bakkies look and feel more premium

Like all cars in ZA they are at least 20% overpriced. The car industry is going to die in this country and we will be importing second hand Japanese cars like the rest of Africa.

Cars in the USA are overpriced by at least 30% from the original price that they call msrp. Europe has been facing an uncontested amount of overpriced products since the mid 2000s till now. Everyone is drowning

Back in the days a Hilux made you look tough. Now it makes you look stupid.
