Cool video! My dad was 3rd Army, 20th Corp, 733rd FAB, Battery A Wire Section. He is always in my memories as a hero. I'm so thankful he shared so many stories about his service with me. The 733rd was one hell of an fighting unit!

My dad and friends had several weeks rest 100 m in front of these in Italy! Just before third battle of Gustav line 😅the concussion will burst your eardrums on the first shot ! At that position? And range

Besides for the visual differences of this 155 mm long tom, how similar was this particular cannon to the Boers 155 mm long tom used in the second Anglo boer war? I'd like to know if anyone has the specs that would be much appreciated.

It is very confusing that the US had a very similar looking howitzer called the M115 that is 203mm / 8 inch caliber and a bunch of weapons like this one that are 155mm. There is a great old video here on RUclips about the M115. ruclips.net/video/ruBnn2XUOhY/видео.html
