    Thanks for the awesome video!! Really been on the fence about the soft top, but I'm feeling pretty positive about it now.

      thank you. I was too with the price tag but it was 100% worth it. Especially in NY where the weather changes so quick.

    Hey man you made this video perfectly and thank you for making it. I’m looking to get one this summer but I’m waiting until i get a roll cage installed for my daughter and passengers. It’s going to have a seatbelt bung to attach the left and right passenger seatbelts up top. Anyway I see that doing this can be a pain and it will be even harder having to dodge the bars. But it’s nice to see someone making a video for the 5th gen broncos. I’ll make sure to check out your installation video when I make the jump this summer. Great video.

      Thank you! hoping to get a roll cage myself as I wont drive with rear passengers until I can get them somewhat secured.

    I have a 1993 Bronco I am working on and trying to get ideas on what to do for the top. My Bronco has a welded roll cage to it. How stretchy is the material? Do you think this system could work over a rollcage? I'll add that a hard top does fit over it fine. Problem is my back window isn't there and soft tops I think would be easier for me to remove as a 5'4 lady for the summer time drive lol

      I think it would depend on where your rollcage is on the body. If its far enough forward that the frame for the soft top doesn't interfere I think you'll be fine. at 5:30 i pull the frame back. I'd watch that part of the video and think on if it would get in the way of the arms going backwards. Its possible your existing rollcage could act as that forward support if needed but I can't say for sure.
      If the rollcage is far enough forward that it doesn't get in the way, i'd say you are good. the soft top sits about where the hard top does, so if your rollcage fits under the hard top it should be good.
      I'm not very tall myself and this is definitely miles easier. Good luck!

    Do you keep the soft top on all winter

    Can it also collapse forward? so you can use it like a truck for tall items? I can see that it wouldn't lay flat like that but if it all tucked up under the roofline that would be cool. I guess you probably just pull the pins and take it off at that point?

      Unfortunately I never tried to do that. and I'm not sure If it would work. Wish I had a solid answer for you. It's in storage right now otherwise I'd go check

    Can the hard top be put back on with the soft top hardware still attached or do you have to remove all the rails every time you want to put the hard top back on? Thanks!

    • @Kevinbaconator_
      @Kevinbaconator_  10 месяцев назад

      It's in the shop right now but I want to say no, since the soft top hardware uses a the same holes on the body rails to attach.

    • @Kevinbaconator_

      you would have to remove the rails.

    how is the top as far as water leaks when it rains?

    • @Kevinbaconator_
      @Kevinbaconator_  Год назад +1

      I don't drive the bronco in heavy rain so its been water tight for me. When it's just sitting in my driveway I've never had a problem, even in some gnarly storms.
      I can't speak for driving on the highway in a heavy rain though.

    Did your Bronco have rear 3 point seat belts or just lap belts?

    • @Kevinbaconator_
      @Kevinbaconator_  Год назад +1

      3 points. When I removed the top the belts became obsolete

    • @outdoors76
      @outdoors76 Год назад +1

      @@Kevinbaconator_ yep i had that problem in an old 94 I had. I had kids so needed something. Added a sport cage to at least keep the seat belts somewhat functional. My old 82 and I think my 89 had lap belts. Also thought about simply adding that. Now I have a 96 and back in the same boat.

      @@outdoors76 when I have kids I think I'll try to weld/bolt some type of frame to re-install the 3 points

      Haven't leaked in 2 years. I've driven i90 at 70mph in a rain storm and it was fine, I also keep it outside sprin-fall
