I don't mind emo at all, actually I have a few bands that I love that are kind of emo, Capture the Crown, I See Stars for instance. It's just it sometimes has the tendency to sound super generic or simplistic to me.
Yeah, I don't gel with Kagami's cleans. Sounds like a boy band. Like you said it's not "bad", he's got a great voice and range, just can't gel on those cleans. The mixed cleans are good, agreed there too. Everything else is boss, the subversion of expectations. Crazy changes and mash ups. Earthworm is my favourite, no cleans at all. And Red Eye. It has cleans, but it's different somehow. Maybe it's the mixed again. His aggressives are top tier though, he's got everything going on there. I prefer Nazare, Mio has richer, lower cleans. Musically much less accessible though. Ideal is a good song. There's also one with Mio in a Ventilator mask in the thumbnail, one of their recent, it's madness. And the king of all is Dir en grey. Kyo has the most, just the most. Vinushka... Probably requested a zillion times already... 🤔
A few years ago I even would have said that Dexcore is heavier than Jiluka. They dropped a few awesome and just overall great tracks these few years. Also, I think they will go heavier from now on, at least that's what I think. They are just so different from what this song shows. I hope you enjoyed the second song ^^
Well, the second one is their second most melodic but it was at least of your liking. Btw, I love all of their songs. Make please a double reaction for Dragout and Red Eye by them and you'll get what they are about 😍🤘
you know what, I put them on my playlist anyway and I was rocking out to them earlier tonight on my drive. I still think some of the choruses are lacking something, but now I absolutely love all the other parts.
