they use already existing genres i wish people would realise this.. just because they may be obscure in kpop doesnt mean they dont exist.. they use popular 90s clubland sounds from america and the uk... this song in particular is 'miami bass' search and listen for ghost town djs 'my boo' its the same genre as this from early 90s

@@ashkelha5882 i see so many people say this but i would have to disagree.. my only guess is people who say this haven't really listened to other artists of the genres they incorporate so have nothing to compare them too... i am a HUGE fan of 'uk garage' and honestly you could stick 'cool with you' or 'new jeans' on an artful dodger album and it would fit in so seamlesly people would just think its an artful dodger tune (just for example.)

This genre is actually 'miami bass' its the 1st actual miami bass tune they have done although there were minor elements of it in supershy although that was predominantly uk garage and the miami bass was kinda drowned out by that. i think when some of you reactors arent sure of the genre and just describe it as a 'newjeans sound' i think you feel like that because ever since the last ep (even with ditto and omg actually) they use a lot more obscure 'clubland' sounds... miami bass is more like an rnb sound made for the clubs... while uk garage, jersey club and drum and bass share enough similarities to fuse together quite seamlessly... their last ep was predominantly uk garage with drum and bass, jersey club and even small amounts of miami bass fused in... so yeah you probably recognise the 90s retro 'clubland' sound without knowing the speciific genres.. hence 'newjeans sound'.. sorry i don't mean to sound like a boring teacher or something.. these are just genres that are some of my favourites and i get sad when people dont recognise them :P

So the story in the mv is them getting into a car accident and then dancing through the city to find assistance from a mechanic tow shop. Simple and fun.
This is a story of the ugly duckling. At the start Nj got into an accident but no one is helping them. The driver even ignore the hitch hiking sign. At the end Nj is dancing with a crowd but the crowd is watching them unimpressingly. They also walked by people ignoring them and one guy even as sleep. Together with the lyrics, it feels like they wanna break away. At the end we can clearly see the ducks but Nj step out of the shadow and the ducks move away!
