Wow! Thanks for being so vulnerable here. If making videos does not bring you joy, then pull an Elsa and let it go until you feel ready to come back. You have already given us a body of work and experiances we can all take inspiration from. Prayers from a batty blind woman struggling to bring robotics to the blind and visually impaired.

Hey Cayla! I appreciate you sharing something so real and personal. It’s a really tough thing to go through and I empathize deeply. As a fellow anxious type it takes a huge amount of courage to do what you are doing and it makes a huge difference to so many. Your content has been so incredibly informative and influential to my own journey and I couldn’t thank you enough for that. I hope that as you are able we get all of the content you mentioned. Sending my best wishes to you and your family.

Putting out content is important but your wellbeing is more and should be always your priority. Dear sister Cayla. I'm so happy for the update. Definitely missed you and the bright light you bring to the world. I'm sorry you're going through infertility. I remember you've mentioned a few times that you love the smell of babies so I can't imagine how hard the struggle is not being able to be a mother until now. I will read Quran for you, from the verses of Mary. May God grant you a baby when it is the best of times for you to bear a child. Casual videos would be appreciated. It would be great for me to see how blind people can live and enjoy normal lives without blindness being the centre of focus.

I was just diagnosed with RP and just watched your video about genetic testing. I watched this one right after and I realized how important it is to have kids for you because you had asked doctors repeatedly if you can pass on those genes to your kids. from all my heart I hope this works out and you get your way with this one in life.
Your videos mean a lot. I was just diagnosed with RP and you inspire and reassure me. I’ve been saying to myself that I won’t be able to find the girl I want and who would want to marry me, and been saying that I won’t be able to work or enjoy life as vision loss progresses. It’s been a difficult month.
I live in NYC, I’m an MD, and you and I are the same age. I am heartbroken because of this diagnosis, but I try to think positively. Thanks for making those videos, you’re helping myself and others

I'm sure that being blind that there are doctors out there that may not think that you can take care of a baby and I know I have heard that there have been other blind and disabled people who have had problems especially when they were trying to leave the hospital. I'm not sure if you have had any of these fears but I know that it must be a very hard struggle to get pregnant but I'm sure that you had to go through a lot of thinking when it came to having or wanting to have kids. Not every blind person will pass their blindness down but there are many different things that people need to think about and many questions and missions people have to ask themselves and doctors when thinking about having a child. You could always make a cooking video or a video doing something else where you are showing us how you do something like a blind person.

Hey, I just wanted you to know that while you might be going through a rough time now it will get better. Things will get easier and things will get better and ask that other person stated you’re not obligated to make the videos if you don’t want to you don’t have to, it’s not like someone’s holding a gun to your head saying make these videos or else so what I would say is just take the time you need for you and do what you need to do for you and if you still have the drive to make videos for RUclips after you’ve done what you need to do for you and taking the time for you to either become pregnant or heal from it or what have you then you can consider coming back to it

Being vulnerable is not a weakness but a strength. It just shows that you are human. Battling infertility is a crisis and impacts your whole life. I am blind while my husband is sighted and we are going through Halachical (religious) infertility and it is heartbreaking. Boruch Hashem (thanks G-D), we are newlyweds, so, we still have a strong hope that we will hold our precious baby in our arms soon, be’ezras Hashem (with G-d’s help)! Hugs! Being blind, offers a lot of challenges to people who are blind, that the same people cannot even begin to understand. I don’t understand the pregnancy part :-) but I understand being anxious and wanting to be perfect. I will clean my house for three hours and then have somebody come in and find a fork on the floor and ask me if I really want to fork in the middle of the living room :-) I go to doctors appointments and they seem to know I am blind when I walk in the door but then they try to show me stuff or they don’t explain it very well. I understand your challenges and do look forward to your videos and I would wish that God would hold you and your husband who I believe is name is Ethan, save in the palm of his hand, and bring you through this to a happy baby. Take care of yourself, send this iMessage when you can and when you feel about it but it does not have to be 100% perfect. We all understand better to have it not 100% perfect and see you or hear you tend to expect perfection all the time take care of yourself you’re still the best. Thanks for your enlightening video :-) you’re a big buddy Keith.

Cayla , I had to leave a comment on this video. I can understand in so many ways what you're going through. I have been wanting to make videos for the last almost a year and a half. Even have some footage up in the PC ready to go but can't find myself to upload.
But what I really wanted to comment on is the fact that you guys have been trying to have a baby for what seems like a while. Well I am going to tell you that is not long at all and keep trying. My wife and I have been together going on almost 20 years. Just before I started going blind we found out that we were having a baby girl. It took us 6 years to get that result.
In fact, we had just given up and thought it was never going to happen. And then before you know it boom goes the dynamite!! Lol.
Our daughter is now 6 years old. Going on seven and I have two teenage boys that are now men at 18 in almost 19 years old. And I am so grateful that I was able to have that little girl. I wanted so bad. And she is a 100% daddy's girl. Princess. So I have at least eight more years before my heart attack. When boys start knocking on my door. Lol.
But I won't keep chatting you up. I just wanted to say do not and I repeat do not give up! It will happen. Don't listen to a doctor say even if they tell you like they told us it's just not going to happen. It will still happen. Just keep faith in God and every time you pray. Thank him for allowing you to get the gift of a child. If you believe it already happened it will happen.
And just think of the best thing in the future for you and your husband. You will have a brand new face to bring to Disney world with you. There is nothing better than reliving our greatest moments in our lives through our children's lives. Seeing the joy in our kids brings back not only memories but new and improved ones for the future. God bless
