I had the same story happen with my Xena. I left vacation because I was told she was dying that day. I rushed her to an all night e.r. and at 6 weeks she only weighted 1 pound (after eating). We had lots of trials and tribulations it was such a hard road. She is fighter and I faught by her side. She's 6 years old now and I couldn't ask for a better best friend. I would say I saved her but she really saved me.

I have the runt off the litter to his mother bit him in his head had a hole right through his skull and jaw was damaged his now 8 months old 18kg just the laziest dog but strong when he must be everyone loves him im happy to hear pitbull makes other peoples life perfect

My Merida was the runt of her litter runts are the best they try harder my baby is grown now and 36in she’s at the shoulder I credit goat milk with that and lots of love. Oh and she’s an Irish wolfhound good thing we don’t show her as she’s be disqualified for being to big for a girl and almost to big if she was a boy.

I have such an affinity for Pit Bulls and I have to be honest, I'm a Marine Corps veteran rough tough mans man type but seeing a hurt animal makes my heart ache and well up. I am so happy this little guy made it. What an amazing and gratifying story. Way to go Guiness!! And way to go mom for never giving up. I'm still having to choke my heart down.

Love the way you describe him as “like your son” because it is how you’re suppose to see your dog, they are not “something you bring home to get the kids happy” or just because having a dog is cool. It’s a lifetime commitment and we see you understand that. What a beautiful story!

Pittie puppies look like tiny fuzzy hippos. Raise them in a loving home and they thrive. The breed gets such a bad reputation, because of a few stupid people. Bad owners and bad breeders make life hard on the sweetest, friendliest, most loyal breed of dog I've ever had. So happy that little guy made it. Looks to me like you both hit the lottery.

I had a 4 wk pitbull puppy that was thrown out of a moving car - I had to take it in even though I had shepherds, but seeing that puppy sleep in my combat boots awed me - memories you can never forget 🤗

My father was a pitbull breeder. He was one of the better ones. But because of the hate, barely anyone wanted one. When i was born. He had already gotten a male neutered pitbull named sabor. As i gotten older, so did he. Just like humans. Sabor too also started losing teath. One day a new neighbor poped up l, he saw the old pitbull and said, "if that dog comes near me or my family i will shoot it". My dad ignored the threat, because of the fact that sabor cannot do any harm. A couple of weeks later my neighbor's daughter came out to pet and play with sabor. Sabor did not mind it, though he was old. But something happened, my neighbor saw her playing with sabor. He came out of the house and shot sabor in the chest with a hunting rifle. When the cops were called, all they did was dismisse the case as a pitbull attack. But me and my dad was not gonna let that happen. We had a trump card. We sued our neighbor for killing our dog. And we brought out a tape. This tap was from our security cameras. After the tap finished playing. Our neighbor was arrested for child endangerment, animal abuse, and lying to the police.
Because of the media my dog was killed. But it does not end there. Groups have been created to try and exterminate pitbulls. Some just go to shelters and adopt pitbulls then immediately take them to a vet to have them euthanized. But others would go to people's houses and take the dogs from them and kill them on the spot. All because of the media

I’m so glad I live in an area where pitbulls are more accepted. I have two myself, and then a few of my neighbors have some as well. People will just kill pits for fun and line them up like trophies and it makes me beyond disgusted. They wouldn’t do that to a golden lab but they have no problem doing it to a pit? It’s awful.

Real licensed and good breeders who set the standards and care for the breed and the quality vs stuoid backyard breeders which are the most known now a days since everyone wants a cheap unbalanced dog rather than a good temperament quality dog
I just got a 8 week old puppy. And this almost got me to tears. I just kept thinking I hope the lil fella makes it. I've had pitbulls all my life and I know they are extremely resilient and gutsy. Once I saw him do the pitbull waddle I knew he was gonna be ok. He absolutely would've died had she not cared for him. The runs unusually don't make it. I've never seen a pup so small.
@therealsyxx I got my rescue runt at roughly 6 months. Thanks to my friend, she made it to that point (and then I took over) but she has been with me now for over 10 years now.
And in Denmark they are banned because the politicians are so stupid. Amazing they dont understand its the owner thats the problem. There are so many awesome videos like this, that it should be enough to change their clouded minds.

Yayyyyy he made it what a cute fella. I remember when my co worker brought his dog to work and everyone in the office was a little frightened of his dog. I walked right up to her kneeled down and was petting her and she warmed up and gave kisses. I said what a sweetie she is. What kind of dog is she and everyone in the office laughed?!! She’s a pit bull! I said no wayyyy awesome she’s a guard dog. I didn’t know what put bulls looked like lol there great dogs.
When people call their fur babies the "best dog" and that they're so lucky, it warms my heart because people have appreciation for nature. Super sweet!

Well...for all the "runts" out there...My youngest brother was a "preemie"....Now, after many continuing successes, he's a Millionaire....(mike drop)....
When rescuing a dog in my family we choose always chose the runt or the smallest 1 because they never get a chance.
It's kind of a tradition in my family to adopt the ones nobody else wants.
We adopted the runt from a pitbull litter. We think the people we got him from are meth addicts and we're pretty sure they lied about his age so they could make a quick buck. He was not ready to be weened, couldn't see out of one eye, and wasn't stable enough to walk normal.
7 months later, he's 50lbs and ornery as hell (but very cute).
It was so touching to watch this tiny pup fight for his life and turn into such a big, strong, healthy dog!! Thanks for saving his life and helping him become such a strong dog!
