    I Absolutely agree with you. Elkhart Tolle said a similar thing: even when we are seemingly present in the here and now our perception can (and often is) still be affected by time even if we don’t realise it. Presence has got nothing to do with literally being absorbed in what you’re doing right now, in a temporal kind of way. It’s realising the lack and non-existence of time, and that brings fourth direct contact with God. I think what you perceive in the now is directly proportional to your desire to be with god. You’re not supposed to see reality the same way as before, things are supposed to change, become more vivid. For example you may read a book and all of a sudden the images become much more vivid and alive, everything shines in a sense. Your perception of people changes, for instance you may not notice their flaws anymore (you realise they don’t define them) and everyone may look suddenly look more beautiful more unique, more radiant to you

    HA! First time I've heard of this one concept. I totally relate though, as indeed I imagine the Divine creator being an eternal energy, not limited either by space or time. Therefore, it seems a little limiting to say, that human beings will reach enlightenment or full awareness just by staying present, as apparently most people like to believe or practice nowadays. It almost seems like a general trend, accompanied by a healthy living lifestyle, which is in many cases entirely not genuine, and being done only because it's just that: a trend. Anyways, I am almost never fully present, for some reason I have never been able to do that since I was a child. Too much of a chaotic mind, too much things to pay attention too, maybe too much daydreaming as well. Who knows. Still, this is an excellent video, with a refreshing concept, unlike many others I have seen on RUclips. Peace out!

    Hey, great distinction for the different types of "presence" a person can experience. I've been "thinking" a lot about different types of thinking haha. Creative, contemplative thought, healthy self-reflection. There is a time and place for a healthy thought life and focused attention on certain subjects. I think it's a common misconception in spiritual communities that presence (worldly presence) is the ideal.

    This is an interesting concept, Ben. I've never thought of presence as an obstacle, more of a state one should strive to achieve to be fully immersed in life (alive). But I totally get what you are saying. Wordly presence also keeps us limited. I will try to be here AND open myself to more (aspire). I hope it will work for me. 😊Thank you! 🙏💜

    Beeing fully present is not just beeing focus on the doing, i am now crossing the room, or i am now looking at that tree…!! Ramana maharshi was once asked by a visitor in his ashram : How do i know wether i am making progress on the spiritual path? And his answer was: Thé degree of absence of thoughts is the only true criterium on the progress on the spiritual path. Formal méditation is not a good criterium on the spiritual path althought it helps,but in what extend presence comes into your daily life
    When you are fully present you are not a person anymore, just awareness, our true nature our divine nature.

    Hi Ben! Once again thanks so much for uploading another video for us, I look forward to all the videos and all the knowledge you share with us. What do you think about past life regression therapy? Do you think someone would be able to truly access their past lives in that way? Or in your opinion is it better to not know about our past life at all?

      Hello again😊… in my humble opinion it is better not to waste your time and money on this. Yes, it’s possible to know, but it’s a complete waste of your time. I personally believe your time and energy is much better spent on what you can do now 🙏

    Could you do a video on kundalini awakenings/energy/towing the line of spiritual psychosis practicing certain parts of spirituality?
    Few creators I've listened to that I think could really tackle it eloquently like you.

    Ben, what are your thoughts on doing japa of God's name with a mala? Is it possible to have spiritual experiences via this method? Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks.

      This is a brilliant practice to do. I would suggest not worrying about what experiences may or may not come, but just doing the practice regardless 😊 This is a great use of your time.

    Also Ben what do you think about dreams? Are they mainly illusions or do you think they can offer true insight from the divine? I ask because I dreamt I was in a 360 space with no borders or body. The only thing I witnessed was a bright light like the sun which in the dream I interpreted to be God, although there was no thought or thought process just a knowing. This dream has changed my life but I’m unsure if it was a stress dream as I was struggling with a lot of pain when I had it. When you access higher planes in meditation do you just have a sense of knowing ? Or do you use visualize things as well? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated thank you so much for your time 🙏🏻❤️

    • @bensmithreal
      @bensmithreal  Месяц назад

      Hey! Most dreams are the subconscious mind letting off steam. If you meditate, sometimes this can stimulate more vivid dreams. Some dreams are deeper than this though. Some people astral project in dreams, other people receive teachings and lessons from time to time. There are many potentials 😄
