Colonists had to fend off wildlife as well. It's life. Better to have a dog that doesn't have floppy ears so they may be able to defend you. And carry a weapon (gasp!) and learn to wield one (gasp!) so you can fend off any threat anywhere.

Coyotes and mountain lions are a worry all over the state. Not just isolated to San Diego. The charging of plastic grocery bags is a state thing also, not just isolated to San Diego. Didn't know you had to pay for kids to ride the bus to school though. Sounds like a rip off considering you're already paying taxes to the school district for those types of services.

@@pangyang9989 yes, it is tough to pay so much in taxes and an additional fee for school buses when so many other states have this included with taxes.

I live in New Jersey.We banned
plastic bags,which is great!!Got to bring bags for most shopping. They are now allowing Department Stores to have paper bags . Obviously we are scared of the larger wildlife. It is their home as well.They need to live.At least you have more open space.We
are building on every square inch of nature here.Its awful.
