@@guitarc.p.r.9675 The quality work you do. the intonation you do brings the guitar to a whole new world. Every string rings out matching with the harmonic tones that it gives is just beautiful charlie. I really can't explain it more than that but it's instead of colorful it's damn colorful. Your amazing at what you do. The rest of all you do like the fret work, my jackson, the other guitars you have done fret work on is the best.
Sir Charles....a wonderfullly crafted video of a rare amp. I am sending the video to a friend who has this amp, albeit perhaps not identical but a Deluxe. He will be amazed to see your work, restoration, and instruction on this gem of an old Fender.

Doing it the rigjt way, is the best way. I'm still with ya buddy. Great video, nice amp old sir Arthur has there...on a side note, my jcm 900 is still clicking along like she's supposed to.
Thanks Glad you enjoyed it. One viewer commented that I took way too long, and he could have done it much faster. He obviously has me confused with someone who cares about his opinon verses my view of quality over speed. Thanks for watching!
Actually the tubes I have to bring out to you. They are in a box just like In the video. The black and red box. Now I vaguely remember ordering them from a US supplier I cant remember which who. But i know they are Still in the shipping box they came in I just have to get them from storage to bring to you.
I have told you guys I can not do sound clips in the shop for various resons. I refuse to add audio with rattling tools, equipment, and distorted mics. Actually I asked the owner to submit a audio clip from his studio, but alas he did not. I and some friends did play it, it had a nice snap and bark! :)
@@guitarc.p.r.9675 oh man, I bet that place does rattle a bit when you crank up. LOL... I might have a little zoom recorder that I can donate to the cause. They work great for video production. They have adjustable recording levels and they can plug simply into your camera. Or heck just bring em over to my video studio sometime. next time you get one that's really special. I have video lighting set up and a 40-foot black background screen. I'm located about 1 mile away I bet that little amp just kills.
Many amps were painted black in the 70s/80s so maybe someone changed the tolex to black. The missing holes in the tolex for the back panels with the holes being present in the wood indicate such.
Nope. All evidence points to original tolex, not a recover. As for the screw holes ther were only pilot holes with no threads, never had a screw in them. Also the fact that it was loaded with a BF PT and bias circuit screams left over chassis stuck in a BF cabinet. I see a lot of such things. Funny thing you should mention painting amps, I have restored many painted ones. Also, a drummer I played with in the late 70s informed me "gear should be black, paint your cream Fender black" I answered, OK paint your pearl drums first. :) My amp is still a blond 61 bassman btw. Thanks for checking out the channel.
I enjoyed this but wish your guy would have recorded something… Maybe get a UAOX and that way you can not only demo the amp but do it completely quietly, I refuse to try and mic a cab anymore, the OX is that good.
Not going to happen. Too many things rattling in the shop, I refuse to do audio for people to listen to on their cell phones as well. There are pleanty of channels out there with horrible audio and players already. Yes I askes him to submit audio, but he is a busy guy.
I seriously doubt that you could do what I did in 4 hours, I was not grazing. But it figures you can't add either. When you figure in all the cabinet repair, extensive cleaning etc. I was pretty fast. What's it to you anyway the owner was thrilled.

Absolutely incredible. It’s like being a fly on the wall of the shop. Don’t stop doing these videos
I am trying to do better. Thanks for watching!
I got to see this amp. It was killer! The Master at work. What would we do without you Charlie
You got to play through it right?
@@guitarc.p.r.9675 I did!!! It rocked
Really well done! Interesting episode. Someone who actually respects what he’s working on!
Thank you, I had one guy comment that I took too long and must have taken a nap. I try to put all effort into every job I do.
This was a great video. Lots of wisdom. I always enjoy a deeper look.
Glad you enjoyed it! I am trying to find a happy medium between deeper and going off the deep end.
Nice to see a job is done for the betterment of the amp. Cheers 😀
I tuned my guitar to a hair sharper than e flat and it sounds amazing the tones and harmonics. Your the best there is charlie. Thank you very much.
Thanks man! But it is the Taylor 12 string not me.
