    We recently moved to a large lot & have an easement that we can't put anything permanent on. I had an idea of using that area for mini-golf, but what I was seeing was permanent in-ground installations. Thanks so much for the video. This helps me visualize how we can make this happen! :)

    • @nocoastangling
      @nocoastangling  Месяц назад +1

      @@OVVP we had to replace the putting surface on 5 of the holes this summer. We drilled holes in the plywood on every hole before we laid the carpet and that certainly helped. We also drilled a large hole in the bottom of every cup so they wouldn’t hold water either. You can see more of the build and completed course on part 2 which is now posted on my channel. We used a couple scrap 2x4s to frame in the hole and then screw to it. Just drill small pilot holes and you will be good to go. We actually used the hole saw that we cut out holes with and cut a bunch of circles and stacked them up. We just screwed them to the board. I think we used about 11-13 sheets for the first 10 holes. In total it took about 28 or so to finish 18. We got bigger and better towards the end. Check out part 2.

    • @nocoastangling
      @nocoastangling  Год назад +1

      Great question! If financing wasn’t an issue and the space you have available to build it was big enough, I would make it bigger for sure. Although, most people still stand on the edge of the playing surface and we really haven’t had any complaints from anyone. The whole thing in its entirety pretty much blows people minds and so that makes up for the smaller scale. We went to Branson a few weeks ago and played like 10 rounds of mini golf at 6 different places and my youngest said we should have build out holes as big as some of those. It would have cost us $80k to build holes like that. 🤷🏻‍♂️ But if I could I would make them larger. Check out part 2 on my channel. It will show it completed.

      They vary from hole to hole but we tried to maximize each sheet of plywood so there was no waste. Most of them are 2 foot wide I guess.

      Planning to do an update video though later in the spring. Thanks for watching. Make sure you watch part 2, it shows the whole course.
