I love this app!
Blocks wave can record and import straight to launchpad as they’re from the same developer. I’m using the Roland go mixer which works well in blocks waves and not just recording videos. So it can be mostly done on the iPad without the need for a Mac or pc. I don’t buy loops anymore now if I can make my own. The mic works as well but the go mixer is a plus if you want greater quality recordings. 👍
Can you use them in a live set? I’m looking for an Ableton-like solution

Hi , I had downloaded on both on my iPhone, and iPad. I buy and test the pack on my phone on the go, but do more serious editing / creating on iPad since there are more features. I thought using iCloud, the recordings I made on iPad will automatically appear( created) in my iPhone? Please advise, thanks.
Can I connect an external launch pad up to the iPhone version or is it just for iPad that supports this :)

Great app, I was really liking it until it started forcing me to "edit in Blocks Wave". How do I get rid of that? I deleted Blocks Wave and it is still nagging me.

I purchased “audio import” for launchpad app time ago. It worked fine, after some updates when i want to edit a pad it forces me to do it with blocs wave, and there i cant import audio cuz i havent purchased audio import for blocs wave....
Anyone with this issue? Or anyone know how to edit a pad in launchpad without blocs wave?

Is it possible to connect iPad to a mixing console so it can be used in a dj set using launchpad??
Yes. You'll need either a 3.5mm jack cable to either Jacks or phono (if your iPad has a headphone jack). For the new iPads, maybe consider a USB interface such as the Focusrite Scarlett 2i2? you may need USB > USB-C converter cable for this.
.... Totally !!! , i use an Ipad Mini 4 , loaded with Launchpad , Stereo Jack to RCA cable , on a 3 Channel VMX 300 Behringer Mixer ...
This set up works for me ... I actually have two ipad minis working in this fashion ...

I want to congratulate you guys on this amazing product, i totally love it !
Just one thing i will love to see ... on a feature update ; Stereo to Mono feature on the samples , and the ability to panning the Mono channels on equal percentages left and right ... for wider spectrum.
Basically splitting the Stereo into Two Mono channels so I can do a more detailed Panning...
By default every pad comes center and the panning is there ... but it could be more detailed by splitting the Stereo Sample into two Mono playing at the same time on the same percentage panning spectrum.
Hopefully it could be done ✅...

1. How do you change the key of an individual instrument from pad to pad , without changing the key of the project globally?
2. Are your launchpad source/project files (not the store packs you can buy, but your OWN created project files) that are created on the iPad accessible in a library somewhere when you use the app later in iPhone?
Hi David, You won't be able to edit the key of individual instruments by editing the project. However when importing your own sounds using the audio import feature, you can prevent samples from changing to the global key by selecting the key as 'none' upon import.
Imported sounds are not automatically synced across all your devices. To access your imported sounds on your iPhone, you'd need to either import them again or make a backup of your iPad to iCloud and then restore that backup to your iPhone (support.apple.com/en-gb/HT204184).

How can I arrange loops like in a sequencer? I can't find any option to do this, I just can record the live performance :(((

Are you able to use the music you create with this app for your own videos? I have a website where models are dancing and I need to add license free music to them. The models are often topless in the videos so I just wondered if this would be an issue.

First, you plug in your launchpad into the wall, and then use a lighting-usb adapter to plug into your device
No,to get to the usb port is hiding so you have to brake it open

Hi, yes you can use your Launchpad recordings for commercial purposes. However, you are not allowed to make the sounds from the app available individually. Also you cannot sell or make available for public download, purchase or streaming any tracks made using Ninja Tune Artist series sound packs (these appear in the Launchpad store under 'Artist Series'). Please see our sound pack licence info for more on this: ampifymusic.com/soundpacks/

Can you put your own sounds?
Can you save projects without having to hit record? This should be obvious but is mystifying to someone used to PC DAWS.
Hi! Any projects you create will be automatically saved to your app data, meaning they will still be accessible even after closing the app.
I wouldn’t call it making music. when you are using other people’s loops, there’s also a good chance that you hear an uploaded song that sounds like yours.
Can I upload my own created samples/loops?
But it’s still fun to put something together play around with it as an app.

Hi David - could you check the language priority settings on you iOS device? This is found in Settings - General - Language & Region. Please be sure that English is prioritised higher than Chinese.

Hi! Unfortunately, there are no immediate plans to support the apps in Android, this is because of issues with how Android handles audio. We are always on the look out for any changes Android make in regards to audio.

Hi, Unfortunately this hasn’t been prioritised as we’re working on other things at the moment. In the meantime you can use the ‘MIDI Link Sync’ app to work around this.
Believe Music, Ingrooves and now also TuneCore are claiming every song on RUclips which were made with Launchpad Soundpacks. How this is possible? Got now 3 claims on my videos, where sound was made fully with Launchpad Soundpacks only. I am afraid to upload other Videos, because it will result in a Bann of my channel. You guys have to tell the claim trolls, not to claim royalty free music. Or what I will do with my Soundpacks, if can’t upload my work anywhere?

Hello guys, first I have to say, that I love Launchpad, that I have bought most of the packs and that I use for music for my videos.
I‘m really pissed off, because there are claims on every track I made with Launchpad and uploaded to RUclips. This makes no fun anymore. Like your licence says, all sounds are free to use, for private and commercial, they are royalty free. So, how it is possible, that the claimers on RUclips copyright the sounds by themself. My videos get stolen, they advertise on them, and makes money with my videos. This scamming companies „Believe Music“ and „Ingrooves“ are well known for stealing royalty free music.
Wtf why would someone even do it in an phone that’s wat too small😂
This app is pretty useless if you cant record your own clips inside the app with a drumkit etc
