This is my favorite one. Gigi literally became Madonna, and all the girls did so amazing.
Even the backup dancers are some of the best I've ever seen on the show
I still listen to that one, to this day (And Kardashians The Rusical)
Gigi and Jaida gave me chills in the Madonna Rusical, but Jan’s performance gets stuck in my head like no other. She sang the shit out of that.

Utica's performance in the Unverified Rusical is so underrated and also with her runway look, she could have easily won that week with Rose, or at least place High

Moulin Ru was legendaire! I love how they started to use different camera angles during Season 14. Those lip syncs? Some of the best picture wise. I hope they keep it up!
Seriously, Moulin Rouge is my favourite movie and I cannot get over how many references I can find in the rusical in terms of vocals, staging, lighting, cinematography, etc. It makes me wanna kiss whoever put that rusical together
That one shot during Camden's and Bosco's lip sync, no matter if you're straight, bi or lesbian, that shit turns you on

Shade: The Rusical is still unmatched for me. The vocal stylings of Courtney and Adore definitely take it to the top, but the performances of the girls in the first team really helped elevate Courtney.
To round off the Top 3 Rusicals I would also pick Madonna: The Rusical (because everybody did well in it, even Brita who was sent home that episode, and of course for the face crack moment) and Moulin Ru (primarily for Lady Camden slaying a part she didn't even want initially).
For the international spin offs, I choose Rats from UK S2 as my #1. It was just fun and stupid, it was where I fell in love with Veronica Green, and Tayce in the Memory lipsynch still lives in my mind rent free.
The thumbnail genuinely looked like a Schaffrilas video and I was so shaken 😨

As an italian, i’m happy that you’ve appreciated our rusical and i can also see why you didn’t get a lot of the references. Raffaella Carrà is the most recent iconic singer and she became famous because she was the first woman to show up a little belly and more provocative outfits on Tv, outside of cinematograph and despite the criticisms she received(italy is such a traditionalist country, that’s why we needed shows like drag race, even if it wasn’t top tier or with a low budget). She carried on lgbt rights and she was like a lady gaga for americans. She unfortunately passed away in 2021 and the entire episode was an heartwarming tribute, she would have definitely wanted to be a guest judge or a permanent judge if she hadn’t died before the start of filming. The edit throughout the season was messy, but we kinda enjoyed for what it is. The producer of the rusical was also Raffaella’s songwriter, that’s why we loved it💕 there’s a video on youtube where all the references are explained, and after that it will make a lot more sense!

"Under The Big Top" is so good. From Pythia's mesmerizing Hennywise, Icesis's huge downfall from the previous episode, Eve 6000's trick up her sleeve, Synthia's lovely voice, and the utter chaos of Suki, Oceane, and Adriana.......ICONIQUE!!!!!

The special thing about the Madonna one- they’re alone on the stage with the backup dancers. Theres no set decor, the lights hardly change. But you don’t know because the focus is on the queens. The knocked it outta the park
Season 12’s rusicals being in the top just proves that Season 12 is one of the best season

All the queens were so lovely and unique! Except the international queen (was she from Singapore?) she didn’t get the Thai humour and was always creating all this fake drama… if it wasn’t for her, it would be my favourite season overall.
Honestly, i m shocked that you put Glamazonian Airways so low. It is really my favorite. It is so catchy I can literally perform it word for word. But you explained yourself well so i get it. But still... it is so good!

okay, we can all agree social media the Rusical was bad, but Utica was iconic in that one, and was definitely robbed of a high placement
Something I didn’t like about Moulin Ru which everyone seemingly liked (I didn’t enjoy it tbh) is that there was no live singing or pre recorded singing elements. The amazing vochals mixed with coreography and dance in Madonna The Rusical is still unmatched. I am waiting for another Rusical to touch that level!

I literally cant stop watching joan the unauthorized rusical.
I know absolutely zero about Cats. I've never even seen it. But Rats the Rusical is definitely in my top 5. I'm probably a little biased because I love Tia Kofi and Veronica Green so much. And they really made it such a stand out. But even with the low-brow jokes aside, the cast really stepped it up and made this Rusical amazing.
Honestly, I prefer Moulin Ru over Madonna due to the fact that it actually has a plot and feels like an actual musical, while Madonna... Its just that everyone kind of slays their part, but nobody has to work to stand out among the rest and its plot is "Im Madonna A!", "Im Madonna B!" etc
Great video as always! And unsolicited unpopular opinion, but B****h Perfect is one of my favorites. It was so on trend for the time, the megamix of Ru songs is great, Chi Chi, Naomi, and Thorgy ATE but everyone did well, and the episode itself is iconic because it was only the show's second double elimination.

the drag race live las vegas one ismy absolute favorite and i'mso glad it made the top 5. it's one of the songs i listen to most out of the entire franchise. the mirrors segment just makes me so emotional and the self-written verses?? chefs kiss
As an italian I can say that the Raffaella carrà rusical was really good, they used a lot of reference and they used a lot of her songs as background music.
I love Raffaella Carrà’s music. She is a gay icon! However, Drag Race Italia is the worst season I’ve seen. The drama was so toxic. The episodes were too long. The editing was off. And most importantly, the drag quality was below average.
So glad you've actually watched España! Both seasons are so good, can't wait for you to talk about them.
DRE1 is in my top 3 of all seasons. DRE2 had the best talent show but not much after that. Even the Rusical was a bit messy and not good.
As a Filipino, the OPM rusical had me on the floor from beginning to end. I honestly wish Filipino pop culture is much more widespread because the nuances and jokes are deeply rooted in Filipino culture AND pop culture and I wish the whole world could laugh with us as well.

If you listen to the whole audio for Herstory of the world, they include eliminated queens, and you can see they definitely planned for coco to win with Alyssa that week.
Utica's performance should've been high and I'll die on that hill. Honestly, it felt so tiring that they wanted to push the narrative of Utica being another "fashion queen who is not a performer (cof, cof, Gotmik)" when she clearly was at least, good. She didn't deserve to be in the bottom for the disco challenge (Gotmik, Symone, and Kandy say hi) and she delivered every time she had to lipsync. To this day, I say that her being safe over Gotmik was just for narrative purposes.
And Madonna the Rusical is soooo I C O N I C. Let's start by saying that Jan's, Gigi's, Crystal's, Jaida's and Widow's performances would've been win wothy in other seasons. Then you have Heidi, Shitty Pie and Brita, who did well enough to be high or safe, and well, then you have Jackie that did struggle... but come on, 8/9 performances being near perfection is FUCKING NUTS. S12 cast is one of the most talented casts the show EVER had, and eveytime I'm finishing watching the rusical, I feel some tears come up because you can see the girls being so proud of what they have done. AMAZING.
Madonna the rusical is still undefeated to me: clearly my favourite (haven’t seen all of the rusicals). Also there was something so moving to witnessing Michelle being so emotional this episode that made it special for me

The only thing I disagree on is the 'nothing memorable' about Cher The Unortherised Rusical, Cher and roaches, cockroaches and Cher will forever be a segment my mind drifts to 🤣
i love how much personality you are able to show through you videos, when the videos are about drag race and we cannot even see you! I feel like you are so real and genuine and your audience can see the real human behind the voiceover's of ur video's because your just too damn cute! Under the big top is probably the best and the worst rusical at the same time, but it's really entertaining in both cases. It's one on my top 3! Also I'm glad you include the DRT s2 one! It deserves so recognition!

The Madonna Rusical was my favorite too!
Maxima may not be everyone's choice of rusical, but I really like it for two reasons 1. I love how Drag Race Holland just go in slagging off their own King and of course, Queen Maxima, like it's just so funny how they call their King fat and old and insinuate their Queen is with him for the power, I just find it so funny Drag Race Holland doesn't give a shit.
2. Janey Jacké. As you say, she is the Queen of the Rusical, she thinks she's a dancing queen, which she is, but she's also an actress, like her tango dancing is good, then amongst the group sections with all the other Maxima's, your eyes are on her, she was the most captivating of them all in that performance and she continued to show how good she is in West end wendys, quite literally the Meryl Streep of Rusicals.
Truly an amazing list and I LOVED that DRT 2 got their credit! More people need to watch it !!
Maybe this is a little bit biased, but I actually really liked the Twitter solo in the social media rusical. Modern major president is just such a cool musical number and it actually fits the character pretty well

Honestly I love the rusicals but when the actual concept is pretty weak (ie pharmarusical) it's basically doomed from the start

Tbh I think the Maxima Rusical is by far my favourite. It’s just that you have to know a lot about Maxima
For me Rats is my favourite rusical hands down, they commited to the concept and the live singing just made it so much better.
The Dance to the Maxima song gets stuck in my head every time I remember that rusical
S12 having both of its rusical in the top 5 is just a reminder of how excellent the s12 cast is. And those are 2 of my favorite rusicals plus s9 bitch perfect. I have to watch the Thai s2 rusical!

22:18 unpopular opinion I think TKB’s Beyonce was so good that even with runway in consideration Trinity deserved the win. Production just wanted to play out the storyline of not giving Jan a win for a bit and finally giving her one for all the Jan Stan’s. They realized this might be one of the last places they could give Jan a win so they threw it to her instead of Trinity.
Also, they wanted Jan to win in the Rusical. I didn't mind it, except for the... questionable performance she gave in the lipsync.

Madonna Rusical is my favorite as well. I know it by heart at this point hahaha but I love the Vegas medley so much, I never saw it as a rusical but it makes sense. overall s12 was awesome performance wise

I'm sure you already know, but DRES' musical "La Llamadrag" is actually based in the "La llamada" musical and the movie of the musical, which is why it feels like an actual musical! In English it's called Holy Camp! and iirc it's on Netflix.

The only reason I come back to Cher the rusical is miz cracker, she really went for it and had a great time as Cher and do super well, I think she should of won over kameron, also her runway look was more fun than just pretty

I think I would remember the halftime show better if the judging wasnt so bad tbh, maybe its just me but I remember the judging being rigged more than the rusical. And omg Shade the rusical and rpdr live are SO GOOD, glad to see them high up

I went to Argentina to meet my actual bf, and everytime we were in a house of one of his friends and we were watching the TV I always put the Madonna Rusical and they got so into it that all of them started watching drag race haha
