We just got from the Grand Aston today! Absolutely loved it! We would recommend it to anyone! Great layout, great pools and beaches, lovely people! We had seen this previewed on your channel from before we left and our 4 year old daughter was quite disappointed that she didn’t see you while we were there! 😂 Great video as always!

I booked at this resort after I saw your review, it's amazing and I met with 2 cats so adorable the weather, ppl , service and beach super great , I forget to bring cat food but I'm planning to visit again and I definitely will bring cat 🐈 food with me.❤
Hi Mike, thanks for your videos! It prepared us so much for our cuba vk. We enjoyed our stay at Melia Cayo! Cubans are one of the nicest people on earth. Other than the shortage of eggs from time to time, we were well fed with other great tasting food and even offered and cooked us lobsters and fish by their cooks and chefs! People who works there are amazing and we made a lot of friends! ❤

@@Finding-Fish I was down there to fish, did 3 days out of the Marina with Avalon and then spent many days walking the flats and beach (Los Gatos) right at the resort. Couldn't have been any better, well, maybe the wind could have stopped for a day or 2.

This will be the first time we've been there since the new currency model came into effect. I know this has been asked a ton of times, but do you find that USD is better to take as opposed to CAD? It seemed like in one of your Varadero videos that the exchange rate worked out better for USD. Also, is the plaza in Cayo Paredon open? I can't find much information on it. Can you tell me a little bit more about pepsi and coke in Cuba? My husband and I are heading there this month and we don't drink alcohol. Pepsi and Coke are our vacation drinks of choice. Did you mean you've never seen pepsi in the mini fridges? Or anywhere on a resort? How is the soft drink supply in general in Cuba? Should we consider bringing our own?
It’s rare to see Pepsi!! When your at the airport I would stock up on Pepsi and Coke if you need those products!!! Just in case there put due to shortages!!
Cuba does have the best beaches , n ive only been to Varadero .. for me it was better than cancun , nassau bahamas , and hawaii ..it was amazing just looking at it

I was there February 2023, in the Club section, I loved the resort and service. My favorite part was eating at the beach restaurant everyday at lunch. Bbq n buffet. The Club restaurant was awesome. Booking another trip to Cuba in 2 weeks, any recommendations? Thinking of caribe as they have the beach bbq

@Finley72 Thanks. FWIW, Melia resorts tend to be very well run and are always well stocked vs other Cuban resorts. Melia Cayo Coco is a true gem. I would expect the new one on the Trinidad Peninsula to be top notch.
First I want to say your videos have been super helpful. I have never been to an all inclusive resort anywhere before and so I have appreciated the help of your vidoes to do my research. I just have a question about this video. That room is amazing! Exactly what I am looking for. But is it an oceanview or a superior oceanview? Also is the Club worth the extra money? I am booking my trip probably around the beginning of October so I was hoping to have an answer before then. I was originally (and might still) consider staying at Gran Muthu Imperial but then I came across this one and while it is more money it looks amazing.

I've said that I was done with Cuba mostly because the food ain't always great. We've decided to try it once more and it seems I won't regret it. We'll be it at the Paradon in 2 weeks. Thanks for the vid, buffet and restaurants look great, the rest is well known.
I feel like breakfast is the time to get the good food, bacon, eggs. I didn't see any cats last time I was there :( How do you feel about the Grand Aston brand? I love all the pools. "Flocked in like seagulls" for the french fries quote of the day. Havana club 7... We didn't have a good relationship on my last trip lol. The room looks amazing, the view even better! The one thing I love about going to the buffet is how they treat you when you come back time after time, they have a table set for you and are expecting you and you get great service. thanks for the video!!

it will be low season remember that, resort’s will be quiet and food quality might be a bit less-than par. But great quality for the money. Vila Gale Cayo Paredon Grand Aston Valentin Cayo Cruz might be good

Kinda of extreme Right of the e Resort appears to have VIP but it’s not posted!!!
Is the beach always wavy there or was it just because it was windy at the time of filming? We prefer a calmer beach.

I've said that I was done with Cuba mostly because the food ain't always great. We've decided to try it once more and it seems I won't regret it. We'll be it at the Paradon in 2 weeks. Thanks for the vid, buffet and restaurants look great, the rest is well known.

I feel like breakfast is the time to get the good food, bacon, eggs. I didn't see any cats last time I was there :( How do you feel about the Grand Aston brand? I love all the pools. "Flocked in like seagulls" for the french fries quote of the day. Havana club 7... We didn't have a good relationship on my last trip lol. The room looks amazing, the view even better! The one thing I love about going to the buffet is how they treat you when you come back time after time, they have a table set for you and are expecting you and you get great service. thanks for the video!!

it will be low season remember that, resort’s will be quiet and food quality might be a bit less-than par. But great quality for the money.
