Thank you very much! I started on May 26 doing a "Vomit Draft' as you mentioned earlier on your videos and I finished it today June 20. I really appreciate the time spent on doing these videos - Really helped me a lot. I will review and rewrite now but I wonder if you have a video explaining on how to format a screenplay? Because all I have is a Draft on my phone notes. I have seen several videos explaining on how to format a screenplay but to be honest from all the videos from other people I've seen, yours are more understandable, emphatic, knowledgeable and over all better and I wonder if you have any video explaining screenplay formating? What I could afford is Google Sheets, not a screenplay software but I will defend myself on how to do the margins, etc, I just wonder how you type a scene and basically a screenplay overall. Again, Thank you so much! You are a Blessing! Greetings from Miami, FL!
Thanks. This was a very nice comment! I am working on a formatting video that should be out soon. One thing --there is 100% free screenwriting software out there. Try Arcstudio. It is free. They will offer a paid version, but the free one will do the job. Also, Writerduet and Studiobinder all have free software.
@catharsismachine Great! Those are very good news! I'll wait to do the formatting of the screenplay when you upload the video, I bet it will be great, just like your other videos! In the meantime, I'll do as told by you, mister - review and rewrite the draft because you were right - there are things here and there that need to be fixed! Lol Have a Blessed Day!
I'm curious, having learned something new from you after learning and hearing about the same process/steps from various others out there -- what is your advice when applying this to a SHORT FILM? Is the structure different? Are all the same steps involved? Can you do a video on that, or, at least give your opinion here? Thanks so much for the content 🙏
Yes, good idea. I made a video on Proof of Concept shorts, but I could do one on short films. Short fils can follow structure, but they can also be more like poems--they can just evoke a mood or capture a moment
