@Tiger Tierra no she isnt actually, with how critical she is-she's reinforcing tammy's victim complex. if you hear from the most important figure in ur life that you are unable to improve over and over you're gonna start to believe it. tammy's view that she cant change reflects her mom's words. she's crippling her daughters. and she absolutely has no room to be critical when she's the one that raised them, shes partly to blame for not instilling healthy habits in her daughters. how people are treated by their parents counts for a LOT when they grow into adulthood.

The sister is such a sweet soul. I’ve never actually watched an entire episode of this. Just the shorts on RUclips. But she always seems so supportive and caring of Tammy. Her biggest fan. And she speaks more of helping her sister and supporting her sister then even herself. Wish her nothing but the best. 🥰

I didn’t see it that way. When someone promises that they will change for years or decades but they never do, you tend to stop believing them after awhile. The mom probably had this same exact conversation with her daughters numerous time before and was let down each time. I don’t blame her for being skeptical.
There’s a way to be skeptical but also give your children the encouragement and reinforcement they need. Them reaching out to her was for her to give them the strength they needed. For their mother to just knock them right back down is cruel even if they’ve been in this same situation before. They are where they are most likely because of their mother’s horrible attitude and the loss of motivation. Word of encouragement can do wonders.
That loss of motivation can possibly be brought on by the mother as well due to lack of affection, self worth etc that the mother never gave them in their childhood/adulthood

She's a narcissistic mother. The fact that she had to point out that it's "not her fault"... Yes, her kids are adults now but they were obese in childhood. If your child is obese, then it IS most certainly your fault. It's your responsibility. Studies have proven that obesity in childhood leads to even more severe obesity in adulthood. If their mother had be diligent with her children and made steps to change her behavior, and their behaviors, back when they were young, their lives may have turned out different. I'm not saying it's all the mom's fault, of course Tammy is to blame for getting this far, but early intervention in childhood has great rates of success.

it’s amazing too see how much everyone has changed since this episode. Amy is doing great and she’s a mom now and is trying really hard to meet her goals, i bet she’s an amazing mother. For Amy, I wish she got better but she’s in such a rough place right now it’s hard to watch.

I almost cried watching this. It was hard watching her try so hard and struggle and I completely understand her pain. I have suffered with a binge eating disorder many years now and it got worse as my disability got worse. It's not as simple as dieting when you are addicted to food. There needs to be more understanding around weight problems.

I have a binge eating disorder too. It's so defeating. I've gained 12 lbs back after losing 35, it's basically an endless cycle of nearly starving yourself and then eating until you feel sick (and then some more). It's so heartbreaking. I wish I wasn't this way. :(

I get so sad watching this... When my boy comes to me (he’s 17 now), whenever he comes and has something on his mind, I go instantly in mum-mode - how can I support and help while he also learns to work out things by himself. I am and always will be there. I can’t imagine what has happened in that parent/child relationship for the mum to act so indifferent towards Tammy and Amy.
Amy - you are on your way with weightloss, so amazing what you’re doing🤩! And Tammy - not everyone is laughing at you, I’m not, I see there’s pain in your eyes, you wish for a better life. If your mother can’t give the support, for whatever reason, just know you have plenty from me. Look after yourself❤️ there’s a whole life out there waiting for you😃❤️❤️
They have sweet souls,such cold mother this shows why food was such a comfort..
I’m so quick to naturally judge these two but actually watching and listening makes me realise they’re nicer and kinder than most people I’ve met
crazy how her mom knew exactly how tammy was. when she sees its too hard she'll just give up.
You can’t really be surprised that she knows her so well since she’s known what she’s like since birth.
