I honestly felt badly for Ami and Tammie when I saw the lack of support they received from their mom.

My thoughts exactly, but I’m feeling the mother was partially projecting her thoughts of her own feelings on her own health… cause she wasn’t that small either..

I'd seen these sisters all over the place for years and didnt understand the hype until now. They are very sweet and obviously love each other, and they needed supportive friendships with a mother as negative as theirs.
And sadly, in one episode, Tamie mentioned that others used to bully her in school.

Back in the day they had a youtube channel and Amy scammed their fans by lying about Tammy dying and needing donations to pay for a plus sized coffin. They do seem like they've become better people, but the 'hype' around them has a long and complicated history.
She didn't raise 5 kids, she kept them alive which is a big difference. All those kids lack emotional support which is an imperative part of being a mother
I love how Amy is very helpful with Tammy and motivating her
Unfortunately, after Amie and Michaell's divorce/separation, Amie's attitude and overall demeanor seems to have completely changed.
Just sitting here crying for them at the meet & greet in Georgia ... the anticipation of fan arrivals & then their sheer happiness when they realized people really do care about them ❤
I love their sense of humor and just their personalities in general I wish only the best for them. They deserve to be happy and healthy.
We see exactly where the source of their problems sits!

Their Mom has to learn a lot about what it means to be a Mother. To support her daughters and believing in them no matter what they are up to.
And Amy and Tammy don't have to prove her anything. Their Mom will see the change and regret not believing in her kids.
Being a mother/mom doesn’t come with a manual. The mom maybe didn’t have the best upbringing, so sad.

Rewatching these now after following them this whole time and seeing where they are now is so amazing and heart warming. I’m so proud of both of them.

It’s great that the siblings have each other for support. Their mother shows no support and she has no filter on that mouth of hers. The lack of parental support is heartbreaking and one of the hardest things to deal
with. Parents like this are always critical. They need to shut their mouths and take a look at themselves. I wish the entire group of siblings only the best. Stay strong and keep supporting each other.
They are actually hilarious.
All I’ve ever seen of Ami and Tammie were memes and people making fun of them. Now seeing the whole picture I can tell how sweet they’re both are! Funny, honest and aware. They care about each other, their future, and willing to do better in life

He's not as he seems. In another video he is sitting there eating while amy struggled with the baby. He comes across as an extremely distant father

I’m so happy for Amy and her husband. Tammy needs more inspiration and someone for her like Amy’s has with her husband. Their parents dropped the ball. But they don’t give up. I’m glad to see they keep trying.

@@ChristcentredNaturalgeeI think the major reason was that Michael didn’t help Amy at all. She was very overwhelmed with talking care of the children, the home, helping Tammy, etc. and it seemed that Michael would just sit back and do nothing.

Amy would make a great leader\boss of any kind of business. She has great socialskills and seems pretty intelligent to me. Also love the natural confidence she radiates.
The mom is absolutely horrible. Won’t give her daughter away, won’t even go wedding dress shopping. So unsupportive in general.
I really love this family. I wasn't watching from the beginning and just let it pass me by. I have been playing catch up. Trying to see everything from the beginning. These brothers and sisters are tight, despite the medical problems they have. I like that. I wish my family was as close knit.

To be honest i really never seen any of their shows i really didn't care for them at all. And watching this i just fell in love with them .they made me laugh they are beautiful special ladies 😊

I actually knew some short clips from them, but never before I watched a documentary or anything longer. This helped me to understand better, from where they came from & how they got there. I thought doctors pretty much agreed now that diet soda won’t make you gain weight necessarily. It can make you crave sugar but the diet soda itself isn’t going to make you gain weight. That doctor said something different.
