@@mrt6300 It is a supreme live track. There was a band while I was at Uni called Peace Frog that used to close with this and the singer was amazing. The rest of the band were no slouches but this always lit up the room. Good memories. Luv and Peace.
Song came out on the album Love in 1985. I was 16. Sounded great then. Sounds great live now. Wish I looked that good after that many years. Every generation has a handful of bands and artists whose music never gets old. Inspires new fans. Would love to see them in Pittsburgh. I can guarantee 5 ticket sales.
yes, but his grumpy old man response to the drum solo request should have been "great idea, mate"...it worked as a nice "fill" in for that particular moment
Do you know most hard rock vocalists decline over they years, they often have problems with vocal nodes, but his voice is still amazing, perhaps even better than it was.
Duffy: pissed off as usual. I worked the pit at one of their gigs in 2012 or so and he literally booted his monitor right on top of me. I've actually spoken to him since and he apologised. I can empathise: I have a White Falcon and a Jazz chorus too - not easy to get what you want.
Been in to The Cult since day one and was at the London Lyceum for the culmination of their first tour in 1984. Strange, because I don't remember Astbury having an American accent back then....and it certainly doesn't enhance what is one of the greatest songs of all time. Also......was this show played in a mortuary, as the crowd seem to be dead!
I was literally thinking the same thing as I watch this wondering if it was a cover band because of his accent. Sounds totally American! Does he live here now? A lot of my favorite British bands from the 80s are now American citizens.
And yeah this crowd is so lame. They’re coming to my city in April and I’m going to be headbanging hard. I swear I have way more energy at concerts now than I did when I was a teen. I also don’t care now what people around me think like I used to. Lol
@@tl1572 I have been so surprised by how many of my favorite 80s British musicians live here now and are even citizens. John Lydon, Dave Gahan, Martin Gore, Vince Clark, to name a few.

It's a punk thing. Drum solos hark back to the days of dinosaur rock with 30min boring drum solos. Punk blew all that away and Astbury was a punk back in the day and still carries that attitude
Great band forever and ever...best memories... still listening and rocking in 2022 !
I don’t know why but this song brings back memories one of my favorite songs thank you.
My favorite song of all time...and I'm a Zeppelin fan!
Ha ha ha!!!!!

Try the Phoenix from the same album!!
