For those complaining about the video not showing where the wires go - that was by design. You cannot assume all HVAC setups are created equal as the number of wires and colors will vary by setup. If your heating/cooling equipment works as it should with your existing thermostat than document how wires are installed on the old thermostat. With your new thermostat match up the wires as you documented from the old thermostat. Matching wire method should be avoided if your HVAC equipment doesn't work, or you're walking into a new situation. The matching wire method assumes the prior person hooked it up correctly... The 100% method would be to verify wire colors on your HVAC equipment logic board thus eliminating any possibility a mismatched wire color at the thermostat. Not all is lost.. I have included a link from Honeywell that is a wiring diagram and color designation. www.honeywellhome.com/us/en/support/how-do-i-wire-my-thermostat/
Thanks I was debating whether to get the WIFI model I think you convinced me to go with this thermostat. Easy and very straight forward install. Excellent
I apologize; I am not at all technical. Just for heating, I'm attempting to install a T5 Smart Thermostat. How should the wiring be done, and why do I require a C-Wire adapter?
I cant get mine to unlock to take the temp under 70...i have partial lock and full lock but no unlock ...i cant figure this out...this is with the code for it also

Does it have a loud click when the heat kicks in? Thx
It does not. Seems silent too me . I know the noise you speak of as I have had older Honeywell thermostats
I did notice a click when I turned the heat up today and standing in front. Generally I don't hear it click though when its on program.
Can you calibrate the T5?

If its a problem that developed recently try replacing the batteries. I had battery issues at one point that wasn't super obvious.
Which wires go where?….
Exactly he didn’t show crap
Red goes to R
White goes to W
Green goes to G
Yellow goes to Y
Blue goes to C
Very helpful!
Glad it was helpful - Thank you for watching!
You need to work on your camera angles. Its a bit far for viewers to see whats going on. Other than that its an ok video. Good job.
Too long
