So glad to see one of your videos w/o the Scamala ad in the beginning to suffer through. I've got a lot of plants I'm going to have to repot because when I started this journey the friend who gave me the PG cuttings said to pot them in compost. I have since schooled her. LOL

On that GE # 31: When I up-pot I always put three bamboos in that 5 gallon pot. The three bamboos shoved all the way to the bottom of the pot, as far to the edge as possible. It would form a tee-pee when the three bamboos are wired together to form a stable tripod. 3 five foot bamboos.

Would that compaction have been prevented with sand and peat moss?

Yes, much less compaction with compost free potting soil.

Sad to say, I have done similarly to some cuttings. I left them all in a single grow bag for approx 2 years. Two weeks ago I have repotted all into their own pots.

I have used coco coir I guess it would be still better than compost free soil? Also I grow in pots on cemented roof so no earthworms or bugs as far I'm concerned bacterial and fungal decomposition for coco coir takes lot of time
