Thank you for a very clear tutorial - love this cute little bag. Thanks for explaining all of the details and for also going over how to make bias binding!
I ordered the pattern and watched you make your bag. You did a great job of teaching. Can’t wait to make several of these for gifts. Thank you so much!
I have made two bags so far. Both out of leather for the exterior. I used my Juki DNU 1541 to sew with. I am pleased with how they turned out. It wasn’t as hard as I thought it might be. Bag making is for semi industrial or industrial sewing machines with the thick seams.
You could definitely 😊fuse the interfacing to a big piece of fabric and then cut out the pieces. I am sure that because she was on camera recording, she was trying to save time and do it quicker.
Great tutorial my dil had one and I thought it was something of the kids I was gonna put it in their room she said it was her purse bag lol well now I can make her one and make up for my mistake thx misty
How do you keep your machine from pushing the fabric on the zipper making the pieces uneven with those already sewed to the other side of the zip? I seem the struggle with that no matter what!
Wow! r first I wasn’t going to watch this as I DO NOT care for Fanny, packs of any kind. But, yes, I have noticed t being worn cross body which is very cool, better looking and so much safer (yes, I’m of the boomer generation🤭). So here I am watching how to make one and thinking I really could use this when traveling or going places where carrying a regular bag is a bummer! Thanks Misty for telling me straight off about how to wear this bag - and now back to the program!!!!😄😄😄😄
This is so cute, and practical! Which Baby Lock machine are you using? I am potentially in the market for a new machine, and I like how this one looks.
Is it just me? I think there are some steps missing in the video. I am having to follow the printed version + follow the video. I am a newbie. Missing: sewing the inside pocket pieces. Missing: sewing the sides of the zipper pocket.
Ooooohhhhh…. You did it! I was anxiously waiting for you to call it a fanny pack and hoping you wouldn’t but you did. Please remember your now traumatised global audience 🥴😂😂😂
I love watching Misty and she explains everything so well. I will definitely be making these for all my grandkids, girls and boys
How fun
Misty is so brave. Sewing lined bags can be so intimidating! And her finished work is just lovely.
I will definitely make a bunch of these. My sister’s in-law love these type of bags. They will love these.
I will definitely make a bunch of these. My sister’s in law love these style of bags. Great gifts!
Love a hands free bag!
Fabulous tutorial! Great teaching Misty! Thank you!

Thanks for making the tutorial. I tried to follow the written directions and got totally lost! Misty's directions are so easy to follow!
Great job showing all the details and giving visual instructions!
You are a very good teacher
I ordered the pattern and watched you make your bag. You did a great job of teaching. Can’t wait to make several of these for gifts. Thank you so much!
Suggestion: before cutting off zipper ends, sew maybe a tiny seam on each side to hold the teeth together. Just a thought. 😁🌷
Yep. My zipper fell off and it was hard to get it back on and match
I tacked them with a needle and thread
So excited to try this pattern!
I learn so much from Misty. I had no idea how to make my own bias tape, thanks so much Misty
Excellent tutorial! You explain everything very well!

I like how small it is... I bet you could take your kids old jeans( denim and make a bag with it.
I have
Misty, what a prety name I love watching your videos. Thank you.
This is a great project and perfect for gift giving. I have a friend, who will be traveling, so this will be for her. Many thanks.
Cute project, I think I’ll do front and back zippers.
I just love this bag!! I'm going to make one for my vacation!!
I have been looking for a bag, and Misty has solved my hunting. I am so making this
I just bought m pdf pattern! Fun!!!! 🙌
You make it look so easy. Love the video. Can’t wait to get started.
Cute! 😊
This would be great for me
Looks great! This might work so my youngest can keep up with her keys & phone. TY for the tutorial!
I really enjoyed your video.
Misty, love watching all your videos, great job...can you please tell me what kind of thread you use and that are on the racks behind you ??
When sewing , do you change thread weight for strength? It would make the bag tougher to break and fall.
Is there a good reason for not ironing the fusible to a larger piece of the canvas and then cutting the icees out?
That is what I do. I have made 6 of these so far.
You could definitely 😊fuse the interfacing to a big piece of fabric and then cut out the pieces. I am sure that because she was on camera recording, she was trying to save time and do it quicker.
How do you clean your iron plate if it get the interface glue on it?

I use Wonder Tape when I sew zippers.😊
What quilt pattern is in your intro with white background and multi colored stars? It’s beautiful. 😁🌷

Has anyone tried to make this out of transparent vinyl? Would that even be a good idea?
Does the shape flex bubble after application even after following directions correctly. I’ve had problems with other fusible products on bags.
No. I use this for bags, t-shirt quilts, etc. so easy to use.
Cute. Cute. Cute. Where do I find black or dark gray boro slub canvas? Or is there another type of canvas that can be used for the bag? Thank you!
Are you going to have the paper pattern in anytime soon?
Hey Misty…cute bag. I need a small sewing kit + CUTE needle book. Do you have or can MSQC create such patterns, please? Thanks, Jeanne
what is the size of the front zipper pocket like the top and bottom
This is so cute, and practical! Which Baby Lock machine are you using? I am potentially in the market for a new machine, and I like how this one looks.
Babylock Accomplish. It is similar to the Juki TL 2010Q. They are both strong for cloth bag making.
@@rsplatt100 Thank you!
Are you going to have the paper pattern soon?
It's on the website: www.missouriquiltco.com/products/adventure-sling-bag-pattern-by-missouri-star
can you make it in a couple of days? Being careful?
An afternoon 👍
I have made 6 so far! It’s fun.
The bag is really cute, however the filming on this video didn’t show a lot of the details.
Was all set to order but too many hoops to jump through.

How long should u make the strap length if it is for a man?
Love your videos but just a tip. It is better to press rather than iron with bag making.
Hi.
