Thank you for joining! Yes, I am building my gift stash all year long, he he :) next week I will have a video up with what I sew and sell at a farmer's market - I think you will get some gift ideas from it as well!!!
I am so glad that this is useful!!! By the way, I got my toweling from fabric.com - if that helps! And imagine this towel wrap + some beauty items as a gift for a loves one - I think it would be great!
My first one took **a little** longer than a half hour (some of that was making my own template) but sure turned out cute! Maybe i'll even go grocery shopping with it on 😸
I have 4 of these & they are fantastic, so much better than wrapping a towel round my wet hair! Also, an even better fabric to use is t-shirt material, it's better for your hair & dries just as well, plus - who doesn't have an old t-shirt lying around! Bonus being that t-shirt fabric doesn't fray either 😀
@@ThoughtfulCreativity you replied quickly LOL it's 2am Monday morning in New Zealand! I just found ur channel yesterday & I'm binge watching ur vids!!
That's great!!! If her hair is much longer than mine - you might want to extend the template by 3-5" to accommodate that -it is very easy to do, just leave the desired space between 2nd and 3rd sheets of template and then connect them with a straight line!
I have made these for several years. I use a purchased bath towel and cut it out with the straight edge of the pattern along the straight edge of the towel. I put the piece of elastic near the edge of the large curve before I sew everything together. The button is sewn on by hand at the small end. They make great gifts!
Arlene, that makes me INCREDIBLY happy! This indeed is a very useful thing, I use mine all the time as I have a bad habit of going to sleep with wet hair!
Glad you like them and I hope you give it a try, my mission is to inspire people to sew and not concentrate how difficult something can be. We can do anything, it is just a matter of time and practice!
Thank you Alisa. Always appreciate your tutorials. It's great to follow your videos. I stop and pause along the way. It's a game changer for a newbie like me. MIcrofiber is a great fabric to use, hair dries a lot faster.
Awesome! Thank you for joining and welcome! Check out the "Community" tab on my channel - there is an EARLY ACCESS post that is visible only to Members, I think you will love the project!
Thanks for sharing. I do have one but my button and loop is in opposite directions. Where the button is, that's where the loop is and vice-versa. But it's really very easy.
Makes me so happy, Greta!!! My sister-in-law really loved my sweater so I gave it to her as a gift :) By the way, your name - beautiful! I have loved name Greta since I was a kid!

A plain ponytail holder would also work in place of elastic. The button and elastic are just the opposite on a purchased head wrap but I think yours would work better.
I have one I bought, and it just uses an elastic loop to pull the end through, so no button required. I can use the one I have as a pattern for another one!
