I hear pile burning sometimes gets out of hand. How do you prevent piles from getting too hot or throwing spots? Would waiting for a higher RH and lower temperatures and maybe wind that blows away from the line help with that? I am new to fire and would love to learn more about the processes of how different agencies do things.
The problem with this video is. Hand crews dont use much water on a wildland fire frim their trucks . They rely on water tenders. USFS, BLM and Contractors who are contracted to the USFS thru FEMA.
