Why you shouldn't throw away extra SEEDLINGS

We recently started tomato and okra seedlings indoors under a grow light. We grew more seedlings than we needed, but we kept our additional seedlings. When a few of our plants got damaged after planting them in the ground, we were able to transplant our extra seedlings into the ground rather than starting new plants from seed. If you end up not needing your extra seedlings, you still may be able to sell some or give them away. Once your plants are mature in the ground, you can safely compost leftover seedlings.
