Thanks for the video. Silvan trails are looking good after that rain. Boy that was a lot of set up and pick up with all of the static shots. Looked great but you must have spent a lot of time doing the same track over and over. Cheers
Cheers John, yeah a bit of work involved. But it's still relaxing time in the bush :) Trails are running great, just a little slippery on some clay berms. Should be better today and tomorrow.
Thanks for the video, your efforts are appreciated. As a new MTB rider, these types of videos really help to see what trails I can have a go at. Recently did the intermediate tracks at Lysterfield lake without any problems. Would like to try some at Silvan but seems very daunting with so many tracks, don’t know where to start or even park the car. Any suggestions would be also greatly appreciated. Cheers
Great to see you out there giving it a go. I would suggest parking at the Grey Gums Car Park on Silvan Rd, you will find it in google maps. Then your goal should be to find both Downhill track and Temple of Zoom on trailforks (also on google maps) These two trails a great fun for experienced riders, but are also perfectly fine for newer riders at a slower pace with nothing crazy to catch you out. Just get ready for some solid uphill riding haha, Silvan trails area is very steep. You could also look for Magpie track and the Bakers Dozen loop, both of these involve less climbing and a suitable for newer riders or XC style riding.
I was thinking it was a logged area, but see in the comments about the storm damage - wow! Appreciated all the edited additional shot angles in the video, that would have been many setups and repeat runs, well done Chris.
Cheers Roger, yeah took a little bit of mucking around haha. Was one almighty storm, but was also a lot of trees just randomly falling over for a while after too.
Nice run that mate... And great job on the drop cams the whole way down! Made for a great edit mate! Ripping it up! Trail looks like it runs fun and fast!! :D
Another crackin vid mate, got me pumped to get out there Anzac day. Do you session the tracks prior to filming? The step down gap on the new bottom section of jjs, I was eyeing up and had a couple of run ups but just wasn't going to commit. Makes me wonder how you youtube legends end up with the crisp edit...
Thanks Jonny, I ended up back out there again on Anzac day as well haha. These are all my local trails so know them all pretty well. If I do go somewhere new I will usually eye off a big feature before hitting it the first time. Unless I'm following a mate who knows it and will just follow them for the correct speed or line.
Rippin’ jump master! That’s a sweet trail!🤘🏽
Cheers mate, it's a ripper trail for sure 👌
Congratulations for the video, the spectacular area. Good jumps you hit, I really like the shots you do when you jump. All the best
Cheers mate, thanks for the support 👍
really awesome edit.. I'm just up the hill in mount Ev so I need to visit this sometime.
Just down the road mate, I sometimes just park at the Mt Ev footy club. Can access easy from there too :)
Can ride! You were flying on JJs mate. I can’t believe how many trees are down. So brutal. Great vid!
Also love all the 3rd person shots that takes a lot of effort and time 😓 but so worth it
Cheers Froff Dog. So much work has gone in to clear it all up, but everything is running mint now. Only a couple of trails over the back to finish up.
@@Froff So much work haha, need a cameraman lol
Nice one! Good gaps on jj’s. Have to get there sooner or later👏
Cheers Nick. You would love the new bigger gaps on JJs. Nicely formed and great for a send :)
Saw you there a few weeks back at Grey Gums and gave a nod🤙.
Mate your knowledge is half reason why I ride.
Cheers mate, great to see you enjoying out there. Say g'day if you see me again 👊
@@BikingCarFanatic Will do mate, you got the nicest car in the lot so can't miss ya👍

Nice vid man 👊🏻
Cheers man, see you on the trails tomorrow!
Lots of camera resets there for a one second clip. Well done
Cheers mate :)

Great to see it open again . So many tree down I could believe it . Can't wait to explore the mighty silvan
Its a great spot mate, but yeah was devastated by the big storms last year. Some areas look like they were logged :(
Excellent video and some sweet riding. Stunned by the devastation at Silvan. Haven't been in since the storm.
Cheers Mick. Local guys have done an awesome job to get it cleaned up. Was pretty messed up for a while. Running better than ever now.
Super sick video, ur such a good rider! The camera never does it justice
Cheers bro. The camera likes to shrink things down a little haha. Gopro effect is real!
Fantastic trail buddy. Sick ride and nice jumps. Keep up the good work and have nice day. Ride on🤙
Thanks mate, hope the video showed just why these are some of my favourite trails at the moment :)
Nice bro! Nice edit, downhill tracks one of my favs there!
Yeah I love it. Was never really on my radar, but it's latest incarnation after all the work is awesome 👌
Man, hardly recognised Downhill!!! I'll have to get up there and try out the new open format, kinda liked the closed in version though.
The wind put an end to closed in :( it is pretty fun. You'd love it 👌

Just watched it again, wish I could ride that fast and clean, 🤙

Loved it Chris. Some of the third person shots were really great and the light was amazing.
Cheers Friedo, always awesome riding in early morning light 😀
Great to see some vids of the trails my Victorian mates always talk about. Found your channel via DM MTB, keep up the good work!
Cheers mate, thanks for watching. If you're ever down this way let me know.
It's good to see a little bit of rain has finally hit the trails. Loving that Downhill track is open, another fun trail to add to the list!
Just got back from another ride, perfect conditions out there at the moment. Almost tacky :)
Love the trails at Silvan. Defiantly different vibe compared to the local tracks out this way
Where abouts are you mate?
Nice one Chris, Silvan looks like my kind of trail network .... good to see you back on the Tube ... oh and the 3rd person shots look mint 🤘
Cheers Dave, great to get another video together. Will have to do more haha. You would love it mate, if you're ever down hit me up.
What car park did you go to
Grey gums car park mate. Also known as the silvan reservoir overflow car park.
@@BikingCarFanatic thank you! Loved the video btw
