Totally agree! Craigieburn trails are awesome. One of my happy places too. Thanks for the vid. Nice work!
What camera and settings did you happen to use for those gorgeous high contrast landscape shots right after a minute in?
Cheers! Those were shot on 35mm film. Kodak gold 200 in an Olympus MJI ii camera. can't beat analog!
Magic ride! Fantastic video!
Thank you! Appreciate it!
Looks tasteee…. on t list/ maybe next summer. plenty on t Coast to do, APNP not too far away.
I have just ridden the same tracks a few weeks ago, they are pretty epic. Did you check out porters? there are some new jumps there which are pretty cool.
Pretty epic aye! Na I didn’t. Back down there this weekend so I’ll go have a look!
❤ stunning footage. Love the Edge trail for riding. Will try Cocaine next. Thanks for the video.
Cheers! Definitely try it. That side of the hill is incredible!
What type of camera do you use to take photos?
The film photos are shot with an Olympus Mju ii or Canon AT1
haha i rode the edge track, and i'm not amazing with heights so was an experience. still alive so we good, luge is fun as though
It’s definitely a thrill haha! Luge and Dicksons are in the next video 🤟
Check out fowlers pass :) Some G5 fun and best backcountry ride in NZ I reckon.
Oh good call! I'll have a look on trail forks. Hopefully try some new places next time I'm down south
@@BlueSkyBoys great videos and content btw!!! Also really like the Kodak shots.
@@drTeddyJo Cheers!! Was handy having the 35mm point and shoot in my riding pack.
Absolutely breathtaking my friend, these shots are beyond amazing. What a mind blowing landscapes and presentation!
Thank you! Really appreciate it mate!
Oh. wow.
It's a stunning place!
@@BlueSkyBoys 🤘
So sick. So raw! I snowboarded there one winter for before I started riding. Would love to get back there with my bike
Definitely check it out! It would be way over my level on a snowboard hahaha. A very unique place!
Such a sick vid mate! From the background music to the raw bike sounds soooo good! I need to get down south soon, that place looks amazing.
Cheers man!! It blew my mind. Was my first time riding in the South Island and I can't wait to get back.
wow that landscape is amazing! that area with the tall gras reminded me of some old kelly mcgarry videos... Rest in Peace kelly
Yeah definitely! I’m annoyed I didn’t get to ride the new trail in memory of him, Blugazzi in Queenstown. Looks like an epic tribute to him!
Beautiful, what a ride.
Cheers!! It’s a truly stunning place.
Agree, Craigieburn is sick, longing for those beech forest runs again...
It’s hard to beat aye! I mean the climb is horrendous but it’s more than worth it hahaha.
Wait until you hit Wairoa Gorge, if you're going there. I'm sure equally as epic, if not more. Similar terrain. P.S. Oh man, that camping spot looks soooo good!
We were hoping to get there but the weather had other plans. I feel like that's the one place that definitely would compete. Something pretty cool about the lack of uplifts in Craigieburn. Maybe more of an adventure ride.
@@BlueSkyBoys Yup totally. Knowing there's a shuttle waiting for you at the bottom definitely doesn't have the same appeal, not as much smelling of the roses!
@@BlueSkyBoys love the music and atmosphere you created in this one.
@@Gmork-The-Nothing cheers mate! Yeah I’m pretty stoked how this one came out. Good to try something a bit different!
Craigieburn is epic, but I think I prefer the backcountry trails behind Nelson (Peaking, Whaimana etc) and Wairoa too. Good times.
Honestly feel like I could make a drinking game out of how many bugs you got in your mouth
genuinely probably deadly. It was a full meal
