    Imagine having been one of the people in the audience for this performance - how special that would have been. Nobody else has ever heard it live this way, and no one else will ever likely hear it this way either. Wish I could have been there!

    Love how the audience is singing with him, and he seems to love it. Totally in the spirit of the song and the artist!

    You can always tell how much fun Jackson is having by watching the little dance he does with his feet, sometimes taking one foot off the floor for a moment only to start another little dance. He does use his feet as his own metronome in keeping time, but this is different. I have seen him doing this sitting down for his rendition of "Freebird" with his sideways tapping. Thank you Saratoga for this gem.

    Really cool that he switched to guitar, thanks for posting.
    I saw Jackson in Boston Fourth of July weekend in 2019. He bitched about Trump, a lot, and didn't play this song, which was too bad.

    @Saratoga87. Thanks. This is so special because this song was written for piano, not guitar, but when something went wrong with the piano, there was Jackson to the rescue. Although he sang this song as for and to a piano, he was playing guitar. Once again, brilliant and flexible on Jackson’s part. And what a showing !.

    I love this song. One of his best I think. Sound is shocking compared to other versions but that’s what you get when you record concerts. 👍🇦🇺

    Is that LARRY CAMPBELL on steel guitar???

    • @saratoga87
      @saratoga87  2 года назад +1

      Yes it is! Larry & Teresa toured with Jackson, that summer. Also a versatile performer, Larry filled-in for Greg Leisz - on slides and guitars, that night; the prior night he filled-in for Val McCallum - on lead guitar...and here he is on violin, that same night: ruclips.net/video/coWQRuHENpk/видео.html

      Being right at Jackson's feet - LITERALLY, had its pros & cons, as it was ALSO right in front of a speaker, which overwhelmed my camera, when the band joined in...and you're welcome!!

    Hey, that one descent. Show yourself. All of us could have a conversation. Really, I'm always open to other opinions. You may not convince me, but I would like to confirm what I suspect are the criticisms, and get to know and understand them.

    Publishing doesn't have a place for playing? It sure does.... it's called writing credits. If they put down a large part of the music.... did you really write all of the music? All of the song? Heck no. For decades great musicians have made acts bigger stars because of their contributions to the songs. You know it but half lip service the truth and really take all of the public credit and 99% of the money

      Jackson encourages it! @ 6:34, he points to the audience, to join in. He has also played "Take it Easy" - since Glen Frey's passing, and asked us to help him sing it, "so Glen can hear it!".

    Compared to Lindley Greg is waaayyy too country sounding. Not nearly what the songs could be.
