The Comrade and Partisan memberships initially sparked my interest but I worried about being sent books I wouldn't enjoy (I'm currently on a journey of decluttering my life including books!) I finished Martyr! yesterday, and all at the same time I have so many thoughts and don’t know what to think about that book (mostly that ending!). What interview did you watch of the author? I’d love to hear him talk about the book. I also appreciate novels that experiment as you called it; I often find myself describing books like Martyr! to be genre-bending. I think it really adds dimension to the story as well as the reading experience as a whole.
Yes I felt the exact same way after I finished (I thought about the ending all evening!) Genre bending is definitely how I would describe it - which I loved and found very refreshing. So glad to hear you finished it. I completely understand not knowing how to feel about it, but once you've had a chance to collect your thoughts I'd love to hear your thoughts on it!
