This goes super hard because it brings up one thing that’s not discussed often about dungeon meshi is the idea of “When does a heroic act become profane? When does a desire become obscene? What line can you cross before you become irredeemable?” It’s a core portion of the story and I love that. And it all starts with “what is too weird to eat?”

-When the group meets the winged lion and defeat the mad mage he makes Marcilles the new dungeon master and as a result he tells her that he will grant her greatest desires and he just gives her the outfit
-The winged lion turned out to be evil (I won't tell you how) but Laois ends up becoming the dungeon master after Marcilles and the winged lion turned him into a monster that Laois made up

I love how Laois (sorry if I spelled it wrong :) is like, a mismatch of different animals, because thats what hes become, hes become a chimera, a monster, an irredeemable beast, something that only ever acts on instinct, something that needs to survive, something that hunts, something that kills, much like his sister, but unlike Falin, he cannot be pulled back. Also also baby Itzsumi.... hehhehe her tail looks like a squirrels. Super awesome job, dude!
