Gorgeous! Binyumen's latest wonderful program just concluded. I'm so happy that he included this song. I had seen it in the Workmen's Circle 1991 edition of their hagode, but I had never heard it before. a zisn, freylekhn peysekh to all who make these videos possible and to everyone who plays them.
A groysn dank! Azoy sheyn gezungen---I am referring to "Borekh-ate" (don't know why Oyfn Nil came up so fast!)-----and I have wanted, for a long time, to hear ALL the words---I love this song, and I remembered only the first 2-3 lines--so really appreciate having it all now!
I had the honor of meeting Avrom Reisin in Montreal when I was about 10 or 11 years old. I attended the Workman's Circle school and it was renamed after him. I performed in a play that he wrote and he was in the audience.
Magical. We re-experience the river, sleep and tender, maternal love. I have a playlist of healing, beautiful music on my phone, all set to "repeat". There is a slot waiting for this piece. Is this on one of your CDs, so I can get it onto my phone and (this is the point!) "repeat"?

So lovely......one can feel the calm river and the waves. Beautifully arranged.
Haunting music, adroitly arranged, and a gorgeous mellifluous piano part, as well.

Wonderful! The music flows as does the Nile in protection of Baby Moses!
Sooooo beautiful, Ben. Thanks for sharing with me and the rest of the world.
It is wonderful to listen to this Yiddish Passover seder song like my parents sang.

oova! I got tears in my eyes just thinking how thrilling that must have been for you! One of the greatest Yiddish poets, he passed away in 1953.
