Next Order is not the most difficult JRPG but it can seem rather merciless in the beginning for new players. 5 years ago, I made a bunch of Next Order guides to help y’all get started in the game, train efficiently and gain a tonne of stats. Now, with the re-release of Next Order on Nintendo Switch and PC, we are back once again to help both the returning, and brand new, players.
Guide 1 was focussed on introducing some basic, but useful, fundamental discussions of Next Order. This second guide builds upon this knowledge by providing you with 15 further pieces of advice that you can start applying in your own game. Across all my Next Order tutorials, some of the most common questions I get asked are; how do I get passed the chapter 2 boss? How do I make enough money to train against the starting mobs? Where do I find x resource? Between guide 1 and this video, I hope to answer some of these questions.
I will share 15 new things that I wish I knew before playing Digimon World Next Order. The guide itself will take you through some helpful advice that you should know when starting out at the start of the game. I understand that not every tip will be useful for each viewer, but hopefully by making a wide list, I can help as many of you as I can.
Anyways, I hope this Guide was useful for you guys. I worked a lot on these videos, so it would be great if they helped out the Digimon community even a little. Make sure to share your own Next Order tips in the comments!

    I love your video content.
I'll probably make a video about this topic myself, but! After watching your bit at 7:58 about Scolding vs Praising in the guide, it reminded me of something I really enjoyed about the Digimon World 1 game back then and now Next Order too. So there's this mechanic/exploit that they kept in both games, and it's that keeping discipline extremely low is actually very rewarding if you know how it can work at different digivolution stages. When your discipline is high, it becomes rare for tantrums or not liking an item to come up. However, if you want to fill out your evolution trees' digivolution info.. you usually have to get into a lot of fights, or train at the gym and go outside semi-often in order for your digimon to be satisfied with their new strength. Praising or Scolding them will fill out some info, but something that's helped us become better digi-moms or digi-dads are to buy a bunch of:
-Small Recovery Discs and/or Medium Recovery Discs
-MP Floppys/Discs and/or Medium MP Discs
When you finish buying your recovery items for the many general reasons of battle grinding, go where you need to be for the training spots. Rather than using them in-battle to heal yourself, you take the risk of making sure you're at least a little under half HP and/or very low MP. When you manage your HP and MP stats correctly in-battle and outside of battle to avoid injuries, you're able to use those items to heal your digimon. When tantrums or item denial take place, you want to praise them for it rather than scolding them. Scolding is usually the better thing to do since you positively increase everything, but you want to praise them so that your discipline plummets. The lower your discipline gets, the more often that they will refuse to take their healing items.. and every time you praise or scold them, they acquire more digivolution info. Since you're praising them, you fill out your digivolution info much more often at a very rapid rate than if you were to scold them occasionally throughout the day of fighting many more battles.
This setup is best for the Rookie and Champion stages, as I find that doing it with the Ultimate stages in DW1, and the Ultimate n' Mega stages in Next Order are much more rare if not too rare to occur---even when trying it with the stronger healing items outside of battle. The setup had a purpose in DW1, but it rewards you much more in Next Order as it fills up your digi info within no time as I've got footage of myself filling out an entire evolution tree of info within less than a whole day in-game. After you fill out every piece of info for your Rookies and Champions, you can start to scale your discipline back up to max with your Ultimate mons through scolding and rely more on strength results through consecutive battling or training at the gym, or by giving digivolution items to Antylamon. I've never tried this with a Mega level ascending to Ultra level, but it's a thought!

Honestly best tip I can give, learn. My first play through the main campaign in Normal took me 80 hours and several generations. My second in Hard took me 40 with 3-4 generations. Take it fast when you want a challenge and you know what you’re doing otherwise slow and steady.

Seems like good advice MM! Next Order is defo a game that get's easier once you know your way around and how to get what you need. The first time will be full of mistakes, so as long as people are ok with this, then relax and know that you'll get there. I agree!

i've been playing this game on hard mode on my ps4, both on my original playthrough which was like 90+ hours long, and my current one which has gone up to 30+ hours right now, and even while i have played this game for so long i didn't know ANYTHING about the power spot training thing. for grinding up victory so i can get some specific digivolutions, i can imagine that will be crazy helpful, and at least i won't have to give Renamon all my lunch money for marinated forest veggies so that i can get like a 98 stat boost during training anymore, Thanks a lot for that tip in specific and i learned a lot more useful stuff in this video
i did unfortunately delay my final attack learning tamer skill, but now that you mention it i 100% need to get it again now on my new playthrough. i also had NO IDEA what Wisdom did, so uh i guess it actually does a lot more than i thought, but If you could make a guide on all the stats (HP, MP, STR, STA, WIS, SPD) then i would really appreciate it
been having a blast with how hard this game is and can’t wait to look into any of your other guides

These guides are very helpful, but are you planning to do any guides for Digimon World Re:Digitize Decode? That's the game I'm currently playing before moving on to Next Order, and I don't know if it uses the same training principals as the one in Next Order. It'd be nice to not have to spend all of my days in the gym until my Digimon is strong enough to move on with the story.

I find it almost impossible to pull enemies that exist in groups to fight them one at a time...
Also your save often tip... so, I had a horrible thing happen yesterday, where... my Roommate downloaded the game onto my Switch with her Nintendo account. I believe her account's main Switch belongs to my other roommate, who is currently in a different state visiting a friend, and he took the Switch with him, so we're sharing mine as we play and replay Next Order respectively...
well turns out, in this particular scenario, if I try to play the game on my Switch Profile? I can't. the game won't even load and it gives me an error. I have to play on her profile. which means we share save slots.
...I saved over her game yesterday. It was horrible.

I'll be honest I normally have 3 ways I use order points depending on difficulty.
    Easy; spend on basic commands
    Medium; spend on combo ultis
Hard; use on an individual ulti, then press order point button twice while the enemy mon gets up, then use the second. if the first mon got 36 OP then by the time the enemy mon got up, there's another ulti just waiting for it. It's never a perfect stunlock but it's always fun to watch 2/3 of the HP go bye bye
