Thank you for watching!
As someone who moved to another country after marriage, I would give yourself some time to adjust before filming these types of videos. I’m worried you might feel the need to project being happy and perky so you don’t offend anyone, instead of just processing the real emotions of moving to a new culture and country. Your mental health should be your priority. It takes time to settle in, to actually feel like you’re living there and not just visiting for awhile.
Yeah I hope she feels like she has time to settle and take it in privately ❤️ (but also I'm happy she is sharing!)
annoying ass
She doesn’t look like she’s enjoying it so far I have to say!
I moved to Bangladesh from Oman after marriage and I had a little depression moment but after long time of support from my husband and in laws and revisiting my old home every 6 months I'm much better now..u just need good support from family and explore meet nice people to adjust in a very different country which I'm sure niomi has that
Couldn't agree more, but I think like people should experience everything in life and sometimes step out of their comfort zone and see the real world, only then can your life be fulfilling and i believe Niomi is the kind of girl who's very open minded and willing to try new things and Joe is an excellent guy, they have even ridden an auto rickshaw i mean how cool is that
Can tell you’re still clearly adjusting to the change, please don’t be afraid to show yourself being sad or how you really feel, it must be incredibly overwhelming but you seem to be coping so so well especially with Joe not being there! Hats off to you girl! X
Which country are u from
The cure for my homesickness 😂 I’m from India and currently study in the UK, and I can’t wait for all your India vlogs!!!
Reet Lonari it’s like u guys switched places ❤️😂
So much positivity in this vlog really brightened my mood seeing how outgoing you are, thank you you're radiant xxx
Make sure your journal all of this - you’ll be glad you did. Enjoy it all.
You look like you’re settling well and I’m so happy that you’re meeting all different people and having a good time. I hope the rest of your journey is as exciting x
You're going to be just fine - you have such wonderful energy that you'll draw all the loveliest people in Mumbai to you! Enjoy this adventure! Love from Gurgaon
Perfect timing! I literally JUST finished watching the previous video of them getting ready to move to India!
This is great for me to watch, because I’ve lived in Mumbai for 7 years and it’s nice to see a fresh perspective on everything. Getting to know one’s city. So glad your enjoying.
I always get a cold when I visit other countries for a while, I think a lot of it is down to air con and just mixing with people who have different germs to you, a bit like when you start uni and get freshers flu
I’m so happy you are settling well in Mumbai. Hope to see more vlogs.
I'm so glad to see that you keep being so down to earth and just the sweetest. Thank you for showing us a little bit of the city! ❤️
I love the positive energy! I’m so glad you’re enjoying yourself and meeting new people!
Really admire how positive you are especially being in a foreign country with a different culture, can't wait to see more of your time there :) x
Yes it must be so hard to live in that fancy hotel and eat yummy food in fancy cafes.
@@mm-bv9yg you don't spend 24 hour inside hotel , India have different cultures as compared to western ,
Watching this vlog reminisces me much to when I went to Mumbai for work 3 years ago. I'd love to go back and explore more, hopefully for holidays. Good luck for your new adventure in Mumbai, Niomi!
Hey niomi! I'm indian. I actually live in kerala which is on the south and I can understand how different the change is. I really hope you adjust soon. If you ever decide to come to kerala, i would love to take you around! ❤️
I'm so excited to see where your journey will bring you! Can't wait to see more vlogs from India
come to INDIA.
I’m so glad you are getting out there and exploring a bit on your own. You look and sound happy and excited and that’s so great! I’m so happy for you! Looking forward to more vlogs and seeing more sights, and perhaps learning more about India’s history and culture through your exploration. Just stay aware of your surroundings and be extra careful, just as you would in any big city! Congratulations on making this transition with such a positive attitude! Choosing to make this a wonderful opportunity will ensure it!
She’s so sweet and gorgeous 😍 India seems like such an incredible place to travel to

Love seeing you exploring Mumbai with such positivity. Your amazing ♥️
Love seeing such an exciting new adventure from you 💛💛 can’t believe I’ve been watching you since, gosh, 2014 I think. Whenever you get in the swing of things and start doing more specific videos instead of vlogs again, I’d love to hear some networking tips from you. You seem so confident in forming connections with new people and it’s something I want to work on in 2020. Thanks for sharing.
Wow your video looks amazing. Please can you do a Q&A soon on your time in India, Can’t wait to see you on this new journey of yours xx
Glad you’re enjoying it here! Take care of yourself and certain things can be overwhelming about living in India I hope you find your comfort and love in it!💕

Loved this, cant wait to see more of your adventures!
Thank you for the update vlog! So awesome ☺️
I spent a month doing yoga and traveling in India alone. I definitely recommend finding a yoga shala of your preferred style. The yoga in India is magical. ✨

Loved the vlog. It was wonderful seeing Mumbai again....I know you are going to love your time there.
Hey so glad you’re here in India ❤️

i’m sooo excited for you!! i hope i could tell you which all *celebrities* to avoid in bombay cause you’re so nice and kind and i hope no one takes it for granted. i hope you make amazing friends. Pooja dhingra is an absolute sweetheart tho 💓💓💓💓
Loved the video, it’s so interesting to see what you’ve been up to! You just radiate positivity, I admire how you are embracing it all with such an open mind, I hope you have a fantastic week doing more exploring 😊
Great video! Excited for some content in Mumbai!!! Lot's of love from Switzerland!
Best of luck to you Naomi from Connecticut! You’re going to thrive wherever you go and in whatever you do with your positive attitude 😊

Living for the India content glad to see you're enjoying it so far!!
So glad to see a video with so much positivity after such a big change for you! Once you're more settled, I'd love to see a video from you discussing some of the challenges you're experiencing. Your audience wants to see the good and the bad! A years ago I did a trip to India for a few weeks, and I remember really just missing having a leafy salad!
You’re doing fantastic!! It must be such a huge adjustment but also so much fun. People are extremely kind there but just be cautious and I would be a little nervous wearing your engagement ring (so maybe wear it a bit sparingly)! :)
I was going to comment something similar. When we visit my husband's family in the Philippines I do not wear any of my normal jewelry or handbags, dress very simple. I have seen women get their earrings ripped our of their ears, please be careful Niomi!
So glad you are settling in well! Keeping a positive attitude helps ☺
Can I just say how brave I think you are! Moving to a city you’ve never been to before. So far away from home and with a culture that is so different from where you are from. I’m seriously impressed!
I mean to be honest she’s just taking a long holiday, and living in a fancy hotel. Is it really that impressive?
I have been living in mumbai all my life.. and watching your videos over the years! So glad to have u in my city!!!
I loved the vlog. I hope you continue exploring and adjusting. The vlogs are amazing but I am happy to wait. Get that cold fixed!
So glad you’re enjoying it. I got sick from pre-sliced fruit in a Hawaii hotel. You just never know. Can’t wait to see more from India 💕
Niomi ... what an inspiration, So happy for you and love you and Joe, TAKE CARE
I think the cold could also come from all the stress you've been through! Now it's finally the time that your body can cope with that stress :) but you are handling it really well!
Detti yes totally agree
Or all of the germs. Hygiene standards are different in India than in England
I was thinking the same thing. Stress + sitting on a plane for hours will easily result in a cold. I don't think pollution had anything to do with it.
We’ve just moved from Somerset to Glasgow, this is an even bigger deal but so many familiar feelings!
Claire Bunyan welcome to the city 🖤
Welcome to Scotland!
Welcome to Scotland do are you finding it yet x
leila bryce ah thanks you, I grew up nearby but moved away to uni and then down south so I’m really enjoying rediscovering the city. I met my partner in Somerset so it’s all new to him
@@clairebunyan6045 which country are u from
If you are still looking for an apartment... You HAVE to live in South Bombay..... I cannot stress this enough
As a fellow Bombayite, the crowd in the the South Bombay is much more...‘international’ or a better way of framing it would be - most similar to the western culture.... staying to be would be a much easier cultural shift and the people are really great too! A great place in south Bombay is also Colaba, or the Marine Drive are with great sea facing apartments with a killer view and sunset!
Also, please take caution of the pollution here, it is WAYYYYY more polluted that’s the UK... trust me, I got a cold this morning cause of the pollution this morning itself and I’ve been living here for 10years🙈
So ya... this pollution is bad..... even for Indians
What do you mean by 'international'?
@@alex-sv8ru they drink earl grey tea, munch on cucumber sandwiches and say f off instead of bc. Very International.
She means white
lol... and as a fellow Indian, for letting your "international" ass know we call this city Mumbai now Bombay is old story, maybe your "international" ancestors deprived you off of this update... :)
Have been so looking forward to this vlog, it looks amazing, enjoy
Hope u r settling well in India. Love ur vlogs

Good luck, Niomi! I'm really rooting for you and I wish for this adventure to be full of happiness, love and bliss!
P.S. And maybe as many vlogs as possible. hahaha!

Hope ur settling in India and loving it. Love from England❤.
These videos from India will be great. You can look back once you guys go back to the U.K. Hope you and Joe get to spend more time together now that you moved where his work is. Good luck with everything and ease into the new life. Take good care of yourself!
Thanks so much
Still cannot believe you’re actually going to be living in India now! It truly is madness! I’m so happy you seem to be having a good time so far :)
I remember watching you in my early teens and I stopped watching due to live but I found you again at 21 and I am so happy about it! I need to catch up on the lost time!!!!! Xxx
the chocolate in India is just something else, so yummy! I love watching this and your experience through my homeland :) Love love love this new chapter for you
Can't recommend visiting Alleppey, Vagamon, Munnar, Bangalore and Kochi in the South enough! Was in India for 6 weeks in October and these were my favourite places we visited.
Really have to check out North India the next time you're here, equally amazing
Munnar and Alleppey were two of my absolute fave places. So many happy memories!!!
Three most amazing states in India
1) Himachal Pradesh
2) Rajasthan
3) Kerala
One highly underrated but beautiful city in India is Bhopal.
Welcome to my city Niomi. So glad you love it here so far. Every time you upload a story or post something I JUMP with joy cause its my city & I live here so seeing someone explore all the places I’ve been to is so so exciting ❤️
Keep the India vlogs coming :)
How fortunate you are to me able to experience another culture for an extended period of time. You have the perfect attitude to take in and learn and grow from this opportunity. With the hell of technology, family and friends can be seen virtually. I’m looking forward to hearing more about what you discover. Enjoy the journey.
Re: the cold you caught - wash your hands, wash your hands, wash your hands, do not touch your face!
R clean your iPhone / iPad screens. They are such a bacteria party place
Gesa Marie How do you clean them?
Helin * Sanitizing wipes
......and don’t venture to far on your own, stay safe.
I really do wish Niomi and Joe so much happiness in Mumbai. I do have to say I wont be surprised at all if they end up moving back home to the UK sooner than they think.
Thank God for youtube notification. I clicked on the video so fast because I need to know how you’re doing in India.
Im so glad you’re loving it at the moment.
Im so sorry Joe isn’t here with you but it’s okay, you can make yourself busy on the apartment hunt and yoga things.
Thank you for uploading today’s video.
Please take good care of your health.
I love you.
Much love from Malaysia 🌺
So glad you are in Mumbai. I lived in Mumbai for two year. Hope it treats you well ❤️
So glad you’re here, hope you have the best time
If you get a chance you should go to Pheonix mills, Lower Parel for shopping and dinner. Kamla mills is close by too for more lunch and dinner options
I actually feel so proud of you. Moving to a new place, new country, new culture! It’s scary and your doing it! Go on girl! 👌🏼
Thank you so much x
Its one of the biggest stereotypes that single womon is not safe in india l, but that's totally wrong things have changed indian girls roam alone on the streets nowadays, so it's pretty normal
And i don't think any country which is crimefree
Then rape rates in india is far less then USA or any other country
So feel safe when you come
No worries
Namaste
This is all very exciting! Looking forward to following the rest of your journey in India ❤️
Which country are u from
India is my hometown, but I’ve been living in the US for almost 19 years now! It can be a bit overwhelming in the beginning because it’s such a big difference. Over time, the place will grow on you. 99% of the people are super nice and helpful. Wishing you the best!
Whenever I go to India I usually eat fruit over there. I've had it at hotels and off the road and I'm usually ok with it. You just need to carefully check the fruit when you're buying it off the road just like you would if you're getting it from the market
What could be wrong with it though? I dont get the warnings that she got 😂
@@Dianaxox3 I honestly don't know
@@Dianaxox3 The typical rule of thumb is that any fruit that has a thick peel is safe to eat. The concern comes for people who haven't built up a tolerance to the water in India. Fruit that is washed in water could have traces of bacteria that a lot of tourists/foreigners aren't used to and it ends up making them sick. So things like banana and papaya are usually fine because of their thick skin, but fruits like berries might cause problems before your digestive system gets accustomed!
@@Dianaxox3 well I mean normally people who get fruit from the store or market dont immediately get home and eat it. They wash and they look at the fruit to make sure it's ok to eat, youd do the same thing here, maybe especially in a new country.
@@BeautyMoon6 Ah thank you that makes sense!
been waiting for so long for this!!
I’m so glad you’ve approached this move with an open mindset! most white/western influencers travel to India with best intentions but often sound tone deaf when they post about it. But you haven’t been patronising or ignorant of Mumbai and that says a lot about you ❤️ can’t wait to see more of this adventure xx
Been waiting for this for so long 😁 so excited
I also moved to india a year and a half ago but to Delhi
One thing I really recommend though do get an air purifier and try to wear a mask outdoors and always check the air quality in your area
which air purifier would you recommend @nrinejichi
@@Coralcrue Dyson
It was so nice to see a glimpse of what a normal day for you looks like. Please would you be able to show us what you eat as well, like I'd be so interested to know what you had for lunch and dinner and snacks that day! Whether you spontaneously found a restaurant or cafe or did you go somewhere you'd previously read about?
Indian food is so delicious but I know it's difficult to find very authentic Indian food outside India, so that's something I'd love to see!
I hope you are having the best time. X
Can't believe you are in India! So hope I get to bump into you and get to meet youuuu♥️♥️🥺🥺🥺
Bump into someone in a billion people city? Guess the stars need to be perfectly aligned to accomplish that.
@@Dwightinho56 Haha I definitely agree to that😂 But hey it's a better chance than when she was in London so😛
Watching this, just makes me want to go back to Delhi and visit my family all in India. The sound of the horns just makes me feel home
Are you sleeping with aircon on? When I was in HK i felt constantly congested. Initially i put it down to pollution until realising it was the aircon, as it's so hot all year round i had it on all the time and would wake up every morning unable to swallow properly.
Clicked so fast in this video! I'm Brazilian but I went to India in 2018, just two weeks before my mom passed out, and I have the place PREPARED ME for that situation. It's so highly spiritual and inspirational, I think I never learned so much in my life despite the crazy environment, so I hope you can let all that millenary culture sink in and embrace it. I know it can be crazy but I can honestly see you becoming a bit Indian yourself. So many nice people and such a beautiful place. And for a vegan girl like you, I bet the food will be amazing!
If you're feeling lonely (I often get that since I travel a lot for work) you should definitely try to write! Writing is great company.
Love you Niomi.
Also, watch Sex Education on Netflix to laugh a little!
