There were just Playtest Rules for the next MARVEL RPG game MARVEL MULTIVERSE ROLEY PLAYING GAME released earlier this month by MARVEL, so I don't think a 5E version from WOTC is coming anytime soon. Oddly enough, it revolves around character levels and rolling 3d6 but has D20ish target numbers and criticals and fumbles. It's being credited to Matt Forbeck and it's obvious he's played some D&D in the rules mechanics

The progressing narrative and its consequences have been a disaster for the table top hobby, just ask Warhammer, a solid state setting like Eberron works much better as a product

If they where to release a darksun book they’ed probably have to remove a lot of it’s ‘problematic’ stuff like the $l@ve trade that’s in the setting and how destruction magic works as examples

the reason i say dark sun doesnt belong in 5e is because of the survival and hardcore aspects, which quite frankly arent there in the newest edition
